So Shuckledooth and I finally got around to playing. Hooray for no more work on Saturdays! :toast:

GG shuckle.

Here's the team I used - it's rather weak to Flying-types like Archeops and Articuno, so some micro changes could probably be implemented to adjust for those match-ups. It's pretty effective in whittling down standard teams with full entry hazards and a more offensively oriented spinblocker, along with 7 sources of residual damage in WoW / Toxic / Leech Seed / Rough Skin / Iron Barbs / Rocky Helmet / Aftermath, which place everything in range of Hitmonchan's Mach Punch or Skuntank's Sucker Punch late-game. Ferroseed is normally the star of this team, but it really didn't get to do much here as it was trapped early on by Shuckle's Probopass. I also did not use Protect after Leech Seed early-game since I thought I might need the extra damage to trade with it; damage calc for Gyro Ball vs Probo is terrible though, which I did not really think about. Luckily though, my Double Taunt Weezing + Skuntank core helped secure the win, as it was effective in stopping his Ghost+Grass Grassy Terrain offensive core (lol this man) by preventing the possible Substitute on Drifblim so that it could be beaten by Sucker Punch. Similarly, stacking Taunts like this was key in stopping his Type:Null from recovering HP and consequently whittling down my team or providing setup opportunities via SlowTurn late-game. Shuckle used an old, but still solid defensive backbone of Probopass + Tangela (Probopass takes on stuff like Sensu and Weezing for Tangela and lets Tangela Leech Seed for free once Ferroseed has been trapped, while Tangela destroys Ground-types and physically offensive Pokemon that OHKO Probopass like Kingler and Gurdurr). Playing around this core was critical, but once Tangela had been afflicted by Toxic, the rest of the battle was then a matter of surviving Grovyle's onslaught. I ran some calculations against Grovyle - Poison Jab still OHKOed even after Grassy Seed was activated, while +2 Acrobatics did not OHKO Skuntank. I did not meme as much as people thought I would probably (but Shuckle did lol). Hats off to Shuckle for always using creative teams and still managing to be threatening no matter what he's battling with.
