So I wanted to bring something very out the norm, and ultimately settled on this after spending way too much time in the builder for an offensive Audino team. Unfortunately the powerful CM Normalium ended up being sack fodder because jklioe unfortunately brought an Exeggutor, for which switchins simply do not exist. Luckily it being Specs and not OTR meant I could somewhat keep it in check due to its speed tier. I also really wanted to try CB Trevenant LOL, I have fond memories of that set being unusable in oras RU but still being considered the most viable one. Anyway, it's... kinda decent? It benefits from the Ferroseed wave to an extent, the speed tier isn't overly terrible against balance, sucks that Skuntank is so good but it doesn't take a CB Wood Hammer that well, and Natural Cure is always fun. Shame the Hitmonchan ended up faster, but what can you do. Anyway, the game ended up being decided largely when I took his Togedemaru by surprise, effectively cutting almost all his potential speed, and from there Mesprit + Pursuit Dugtrio ended up taking care of the remaining threats.

I was on the lookout for something spicy, and thus dibs delivered with this webs goonsquad. Unfortunately, jkiloe replied with FerroClef HO, and I looked at his threats, looked at my team, looked at dibs :blobglare: But yeah, it was a kind of odd game where we both had really no ways of checking the opposite threats, being Kingler / Pyroar / Sensu on both frigging sides. I really liked how jklioe played his threats though, and forced me to make obvious plays because I really couldn't afford to not knock them out, keeping them in case he gets the spin off. Unfortunately he gets max rolled in sleep turns in the end, and there I'm saved from being stupid tired because I forgot the Jynx had Z-Ice Beam :psywoke: which ended the game a turn before. Oops.

Anyway, thank you all for your patience lol. It was fun to participate in this and I hope we didn't kill all the hype, looking forward to vote for more battles!

I decided to bring an Absol + Type Null balance while he brought a threat heavy team with Probopass support. I got donked on by CB Skunk since my team was unprepared to that but he also had no Manectric checks so it evened out. I had to make a lot of questionable plays to dig myself out of a hole early on. The ending had some fun mindgames including the classic "Play around Sucker Punch" and "guess which Pinsir set it is".

I brought some Lilligant + Ludicolo HO I built in 10 minutes while he brought webs. This time I actually had a good matchup. I knew that if I was able to remove webs at some point with PomPom he would be in trouble. I led with Aggron to bop Shuckle. Some plays later including a Spiritomb stall war, I was able to get rid of big threats like Pyroar and Mesprit and remove webs, and from there on it was just a matter of not choking to Pinsir. Pom Pom was MVP as expected.

Thanks Specs for the intense battles and being easy to schedule with.
