Hello and welcome to PUPL XII! We're looking for 8 managing duos this time around, eight pairs of two. Managers are expected to have past PUPL experience, managed in a Smogon team tournament before, and/or be a major contributor to PU. Managers are also expected to be active in their teamchat and respond quickly with substitutes or lineups. Additionally, keeping a team name from last year is highly encouraged, but not a requirement! To manage, please post the following in one post:

The format for PUPL XII will mirror that of PUPL XI:
  • SV
  • SV
  • SV
  • SS (suspect slot)*
  • SM
  • ORAS
  • BW
  • DPP
  • ADV
  • Bo3 (SV/SS/SM)
The SS PU suspect slot will be running with the following Pokemon unbanned:
  • Guzzlord
  • Araquanid
  • Virizion
  • Riachu-A

Standings / Prices from PUPL XI

A team may have a total of 3 players purchased prior to the draft between retains and/or manager selfbuys. Tier Locks will carry over from last year for retained players.

The budget for auction this year will be 130k and there will be a minimum of 3 substitutes required per team. Pricing for selfbuys will use a formula similar to last year (and you can play with a test sheet for pricing):

Manager price = (M-1) * 0.5 * # of wins last PUPL + (P + 3) + 0.75 * # of wins last PUPL - 1 * # of losses last PUPL
M being the number of selfbuys performed by the team (1 or 2).
P being the price of said player in their last PUPL capped at 17. If they never played PUPL or if their price was lower than 10, it defaults to 10.
The result is rounded up.

Note: Players who managed last year cannot be retained. However, they can self-buy if they choose to manage again.

If you would like to retain a player, the price to retain them will be the player's cost from the previous PUPL with an additional 3K cost. The minimum cost to retain a player is 10K credits. The following players, however, were retained in the previous PUPL, and the costs to retain them again are as follows:

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): Since 2025 i manage world cup and CNPL, OUPL, RUCL, ORASPL, in 2026 i manage CNPL PUCL RUPL and ORASCL, most of them get playoff and get 2025 ORASPL, 2026 CNPL champion, and i learn most pu generation in this year, howkings have long manage experience, was being SCL manager twice, we both get ORASPL champion, i'm surely our combo are reliable manager choice.

I've been on this site for about 9 years at this point. My track record being a Manager is the following: multiple PSPL's, 2x NUPL's where my team once won the tour and in the other we got first seed but eliminated in the poffs, multiple different WCOP's including: CAP, PU, ZU main WcoP last year and many more side ones (BW, Retro Cup, German Team Tours and so on). I've also been a player or at least a sub or a supporter in many other tours as well (ZUPL, DPPPL, BDSPPL, OUFL). My experience with PU stems from the run ins via the PUWC/LTWC and from the ladder tour I participated in one year ago. This is what Fog and Mind had to say about our sign up:

Corvvy has been a vocal voice in the PU sideforums for quite some time and also managed us in the PUWC last year. His knowledge in the tier, in combination with the amount of effort he puts in for his tests is one of his many qualities he honed for in the past year. He does not have any acoomplishments yet, but showed great character when taking care of us last season considering we had many people who were not familiar with the tier before.​

Kafka is a rising name in the PU community. He managed PUWC and made it to finals, while also posting a solid personal record there. He later participated in PUCL as a shadow manager for the Lilligant team, while also playing as the SV starter and finishing with a 5–1 record.

On top of that, he has extensive management experience. He has managed multiple World Cups for Team China, including DPPWC (champion), PUWC(Finals), UWC(Finals), and NDWC (finals), as well as ADVWC and CAPWC, where his teams made playoffs.He also has experience managing several premier leagues, including RUPL and CNPL, both with playoff finishes. Currently, Kafka is managing UMCL (now in finals), ROAPL, and BSSPL.

As for me,I’m a newer face to PU, but I bring a strong management background, This year i have won tours such as ADPL, SSCL, and OUFL. I am also currently managing NUPL and SMPL.

Together,we bring a strong combination of PU-specific experience, proven success across multiple team tournaments, and active involvement in current major leagues.We believe that mix of experience, preparation, and support would make us a reliable and competitive managing duo for this season.

Returning to manage with a new co.

I have a wealth of experience in old gens, having played every single PU oldgen in official PU tours and having qualified 2 years in a row for classic. This enables me to effectively support whole teams if I have enough time.

I am also regarded as a solid builder in SV which makes me an ideal supporting manager for my teammates.

With regards to managing experience, I took the Dazzling Delphoxes to semis and we went undefeated in regular season. I am coming back with a much more refined knowledge of the PU Playerbase as well as a motived co-manager in Kyuss.

I don't need to introduce Kyuss, he was a Pu Invitational Invitee and has been a PU household name for years. (won ladder tour, picked to start in SCL etc.)

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): I’ve made PUCL Finals tiebreak, managed SCL and just came off winning ADPL while Wesley has managed every Generational PL this and last year making semi finals / finals in SSCL, SSPL, SMPL, ORASCL and managing BWPL, DPPPL, ADVPL, BLT, PUWC & LTWC. Together we have knowledge over the complete playerbase and the experience to win this tour.
