Rules
  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for us to make decisions for activity calls when we can actually see what went down with scheduling.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your captains know ASAP so they can communicate that to the hosts or the other team's captains for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag the hosts, the captains of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Post replays. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later. Your win won't be counted without a replay
  • Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.

Europe continues to look really good, what a shock. This doesn’t necessarily have to be an 8-0; there are a few slots where West could definitely show up Europe (yo cho vs MZ, Drud vs LustfulLice, and lolebruh vs skrimps stand out here), and the upset potential in general is there, but this won’t be easy at all.

This one feels much more even despite one side dominating in pools harder than the other. I worry that the couple names Italy subbed in might have some trouble matching the pace of Brazil’s LU, but Brazil does have a few slots that will really need to work hard to close this one up. The most likely series to go to tiebreak, imo.

Didn’t want these two to play so soon, was really rooting for them both. France looked strong af in pools and is probably more consistent overall. There’s hope if China can get past some of the middle bunch of players, and I know they’re gonna be working overtime in the builder, so I could end up more wrong here than anywhere else.

SV: yo cho vs. MZ - could be close yo cho is a good clicker but MZ is just too shiest for me to not bold him (he also won vs yo cho in pools)
SV: TheFranklin vs. Bella - franklin has been killing it while bella has struggled (admittedly in a tough pool) but maybe the pupl luck might come back and we'll see an upset
SV: Lily vs. velvet - both had good performances in pools but lily has the edge of better support
SV: Drud vs. LustfulLice - calling an upset while drud 3-0'd a tough bracket and he's more proven I think lice is gonna bring some shiest and pop off
SV: fish anemometer vs. Pokeslice - Limber Ditto
SV: sugar ovens vs. skierdude101 - the oven has been bringing the heat all over pu, I expect both a win here and a swiss win.
SV: Leni vs. waterfals - waterfals is pretty familiar with the tier and could make this close but leni is a good clicker and has godlike support
SV: lolebruh vs. skrimps - SKRIMPS LANDSLIDE VICTORY! HE WILL NOT BE STOPPED

Italy (3) vs. (5) Brazil
SV: Raiza vs. Beraldo - I do not like the teams baldo has been bringing and raiza did really well in pools
SV: paolode99 vs. Ampha - Amphoat wins in experience just cause I haven't seen paolode play before
SV: entrocefalo vs. LpZ - close match either way but I'm calling the upset for entro since he was playing really well in pools
SV: JUST ONE GALATINA vs. kyuss - seeing kyuss has 3-0'd the bracket the team tour curse is now dead and he's going X-0
SV: Tizio Potente Ao vs. estra - I have no idea who tizio is and estra is an ok clicker so go with them
SV: procorphish vs. Ryu - kinda a gut feeling on this one feel ryu will tryhard and pull off the win here
SV: Terracotta vs. Seraphz - Terra is shiest in the builder but didn't have a great start in pools and seraphz went 2-1 in a tough bracket (shameless self glaze)
SV: Pais vs. A plague doc - Pais went crazy in pools and is the better clicker imo

France (5) vs. (3) China
SV: yovan33321 vs. Metallica126 - this is Metallica's revenge tour after getting dugza stalled out of swiss
SV: Platum vs. Separation - both are very good but sepa is the better clicker
SV: Micciu vs. 691 - UU aah mu but micciu is cracked so going with them
SV: Lambovino vs. emoxu9 - heroic penguin
SV: eternal ocean vs. cen344uu - close match both looked amazing in pools going with ocean cause he kicked my ass on the ladder
SV: Hiko vs. yingzhi4896 - idk where china found this guy but 3-0 in a strong pool demands respect. Hiko is also good so this will probably be close
SV: yandaud vs. Indulge in dreams - close but I think yandaud will be more motivated to win as the captain
SV: Cielau vs. Suzukaaa - everytime I predicted cielau to win in pupl he lost so I'm doing this for the content of a tie breaker

Latin America (1) vs. (7) US South
SV: MrAldo vs. Taka - while aldo has the better record Taka is the more consistent player and cooks really fire stuff
SV: Caesarr vs. asa - asa is :b_clown: but probably wins this
SV: ApacheRomero vs. tom holland - fuck it one more time spiderman avenge that awful luck + he'll probably cook some heat for this
SV: One Last Kiss vs. Tenebricite - OLK didn't have a great start in pools and tenebricite is just crazy at like every tier I see him play
SV: Gallinova vs. Danny - evil penguin
SV: adpg.2007 vs. gulch - gulch shall prevail as long as he doesn't get cheesed
SV: Lazuli vs. The Strap - both did about the same in pools but I liked Lazulis teams more
SV: Raahel vs. Stories - stories is a very good clicker + builder and raahel subbed out for tempo so I have nothing to really to go off of (free tempo)

(I genuinely think this is a toss-up and therefore will not be choosing a concrete winner, I rate mz very highly and need to do more research on yo cho)

(This hurts me but I think Franklin just has more general mons experience so he has the edge)
SV: Lily vs. velvet
(Similar reasons to the last matchup but I remember finding velvet vry impressive in pools, so I think it'll be a good one)
SV: Drud vs. LustfulLice
(I just rate drud higher and think he's on a roll rn, sorry lice)
SV: fish anemometer vs. Pokeslice
(Fish is like..really good, this'll be a good match but I think fish has a clear advantage.)

(Mainer vs to my knowledge non-mainer, idt the mons skill gap is massive but I think sugar ovens wins this pretty favorably]

SV: Micciu vs. 691 - uu mainer fight in pu will be cool. Micciu is a noob cuz he called act on me when he was my support in a teamtour+is associated with tuthur. i like his enthusiams in pulling teams from his pu builder slaves, he enjoys the power trip. 691 def a hard opp tho, even has a scl win.

No cast this week as it the recording attempt was Ben. But I got some predicts and some live recorded pools games (saturday 2nd week) with MZ joining a little before half way!
