[OVERVIEW]

Thanks to the combination of great typing, decent bulk, reliable recovery, and a great ability in Unaware, Quagsire has the ability to stop a lot of the most threatening setup sweepers in the tier, including the likes of Klinklang, Incineroar, Braviary, and Scrafty, making it a solid pick for stall builds. A great typing in Water / Ground leaves Quagsire with only one weakness. This, paired with its decent physical bulk, lets it counter most Stealth Rock users like Steelix, Rhydon, and Piloswine as well as the most prominent Fire-type Pokemon, Incineroar.

However, a 4x weakness to Grass makes Quagsire susceptible to Pokemon like Sceptile, Dhelmise, and Whimsicott. Quagsire also has a mediocre Special Defense stat, making it unlikely to check special setup sweepers such as Delphox, Mismagius, and Vivillon, and leaving it susceptible to strong special attackers such as Vanilluxe, Guzzlord, and Vikavolt. Quagsire's low offensive stats render it a pretty passive Pokemon that can invite in threatening Pokemon like Slowbro and Guzzlord. It also faces competition from Pyukumuku, which has better bulk and better utility moves like Block and Spite; the main advantage Quagsire has over Pyukumuku is that it isn't useless against Taunt and Substitute users like Mismagius and Decidueye.

Moves
========

Curse boosts Quagsire's Defense and Attack, making it easier for Quagsire to take physical hits from setup sweepers like Incineroar and Braviary and hit back. It can also make Quagsire a niche late-game sweeper. Scald is the most spammable move Quagsire has, since it can punish Grass-type Pokemon such as Decidueye, Dhelmise, and Torterra for switching in by burning them. Earthquake is the strongest STAB move Quagsire has and can hit common Stealth Rock and Spikes users like Garbodor and Steelix for super effective damage while also doing decent damage to neutral targets such as Vanilluxe, Passimian, and Guzzlord. If Quagsire uses Ice Punch, it has the ability to hit Pokemon that are immune to Ground such as Sigilyph, Braviary, Mismagius, and Rotom as well as punish frail Grass-type Pokemon like Sceptile and Whimsicott. Ice Punch paired with Curse lets Quagsire beat Bulk Up Braviary, which can be a big problem for stall builds. Recover provides longevity throughout the game.

Set Details
========

An Impish or Relaxed nature paired with maximum HP and Defense investment allows Quagsire to take on a lot of physical attackers, including Incineroar, Passimian, and Sneasel. Unaware allows Quagsire to check setup sweepers like Incineroar, Klinklang, and Braviary. Leftovers provides Quagsire with a form of passive recovery, which helps it reduce the number of times it has to go for Recover.

Usage Tips
========

Quagsire should be switched into setup sweepers like Incineroar, Braviary, Klinklang, and Scrafty. While it's in, Quagsire should try to weaken Pokemon using Scald, since it can cripple its switch-ins with a burn. Earthquake is the strongest STAB move Quagsire has and should be used to weaken bulky Poison-type Pokemon like Garbodor and special attackers that might switch in like Vanilluxe; however, be wary of Flying-type Pokemon or Pokemon with Levitate. Curse should be used to reduce damage from Incineroar and Bulk Up sweepers such as Braviary, Scrafty, and Malamar. If Quagsire is using Ice Punch, it should be used to hit Earthquake-immune Pokemon and Grass-type Pokemon that might switch in. Quagsire should avoid being hit with Grass-type attacks and Toxic, since this cripples its ability to check setup sweepers. It should also scout for strong Z-Moves from Pokemon like Braviary and Incineroar, which can 2HKO it when combined with another strong move.

Team Options
========

Quagsire should be used on bulky offense or stall builds that appreciate a way to check setup sweepers. These usually have cleric Pokemon like Diancie and Audino, which can cure any status Quagsire receives. Audino can also pass huge Wishes to keep Quagsire healthy throughout the battle. Pokemon that resist Grass-type attacks such as Braviary and Vileplume are also very helpful to Quagsire, since they are able to take these hits and retaliate with strong STAB attacks. Golbat is especially helpful, since it can provide a form of entry hazard control in Defog while also checking the majority of Grass-type Pokemon. Guzzlord and Alolan Sandslash also make great partners because they can help cover Quagsire's mediocre Special Defense and beat special attackers like Vanilluxe, Delphox, and Sceptile.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============

Toxic can be used over Curse to pressure Grass-types and other Pokemon that can come in on Quagsire with residual damage. Protect is another option that, paired with Toxic, can rack up more residual damage while also scouting what move Choice-locked Pokemon like Passimian and Vanilluxe go for. This move also helps Quagsire sponge Z-Moves from Braviary and Incineroar; however, it makes Quagsire more vulnerable to Pokemon like Scrafty, Malamar, and Substitute Braviary.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-type Attacks**: Setup sweepers like Decidueye and Gallade can set up on Quagsire and beat it with Leaf Blade. Wallbreakers such as Slowbro, Dhelmise, and Cinccino can also break through Quagsire with their Grass-type coverage. However, they all have to fear being burned by Scald. Other Grass-type Pokemon like Sceptile, Whimsicott, and Vileplume can switch into Quagsire and OHKO it.

**Special Attackers**: Slowbro, Sigilyph, and Rotom can comfortably switch into Quagsire and take advantage of its poor Special Defense and mediocre offensive stats, OHKOing or 2HKOing it. Vivillon and Mismagius can also take advantage of this and use Quagsire as an opportunity to set up. Vanilluxe and Guzzlord have a harder time coming in, since Earthquake can do solid damage, but when they are in, they can OHKO Quagsire with their STAB moves.

**Z-Move Users**: Although Quagsire can beat most setup sweepers, Pokemon like Incineroar and Dodrio can 2HKO it with a bit of entry hazard damage due to the strong Z-Moves they can carry. Delphox and Houndoom can use Solar Beam paired with Grassium Z to OHKO Quagsire with Bloom Doom. Aromatisse is another setup Pokemon that Quagsire struggles to deal with, since Fairium Z Moonblast can break through it.

**Toxic**: When Quagsire is badly poisoned by Toxic, which can happen when facing bulky Water-types like Slowbro and Blastoise, its effectiveness is compromised. A badly poisoned Quagsire is forced to use Recover more often and has a harder time checking setup sweepers like Incineroar and Scrafty.

Maybe specify them as switch-ins and mention something other than Passimian?

  • Toxic can be useful to pressure Grass-type pokemon and other pokemon that can come in on Quagsire.
  • Icium Z Ice Punch could be worth a mention as a Grass-type lure, but feel free to leave it out if you think that's too niche

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-Type Pokemon**: Decidueye, Sceptile and Whimsicott can all switch into Quagsire moves and OHKO it back with their Grass-type move due to its Four times weakness. Decidueye can also use this pokemon as a way to boost its attack with Swords Dance.

**Special Attackers**: Vanilluxe, Guzzlord and Slowbro can take advantage of the poor Special Defense Quagsire has and OHKO or 2HKO it. Add a Comfey mention since it comes in and can set up with Calm Mind and even Taunt you if you're a Toxic variant

**Z-Move Pokemon**: Although Quagsire can beat most set up sweepers, pokemon like Braviary and Incineroar can 2HKO it with a bit of hazard damage due to the strong Z moves these pokemon can carry.

It should be listed under set details that Waterfall also allows Quagsire to beat Sub BU Braviary unlike Scald (aka why you use it). Other then that good job, qc check below!

Quagsire has a great typing in Water and Ground that leaves it with only one weakness while also having a decent Defense stat. This lets it counter most Stealth Rock users such as Steelix, Rhydon and Piloswine while also checking Fire-type pokemon like Incineroar.

Saying it checks fire types in general is kind of a stretch as it deals with 1 fire type. It loses to psychic/grass knot delphox, magmortar, houndoom ect. I'd reword this part.

Waterfall is another reliable stab move that hits pokemon that are immune to Ground-type moves, these being Flying type pokemon such as Sigilyph and Aerodactyl and Levitate pokemon, these being Mismagius and Rotom. This move paired with curse to lets Quagsire beat Bulk Up sets Braviary which can be a big problem for stall builds.
Sigi is fine but you can swap Aerodactyl for more relevant examples like Braviary, Viv, ect.

Also we have more levitate users then just those two (Vikavolt for example) so change the wording from "these being" to more like "like mismag/rotom"

If you are facing Braviary, get curse boosts before revealing Waterfall to make it harder to switch into.
Honestly this part can be cut. Its too hyper specific and I'd rather this be replaced with things more generically relevant like not letting it take grass type attacks or on how you need to avoid letting it get toxic'd

Clerics like Audino and Miltank can be very useful since it can cure any status Quagsire can receive. Audino can also pass huge wishes maintaing Quagsire healthy throughout the battle.
Replace Miltank with Diancie as Miltank doesn't normally run Heal Bell

**Grass-Type Pokemon**: Decidueye, Sceptile and Whimsicott can all switch into Quagsire moves and OHKO it back with their Grass-type move due to its Four times weakness. Decidueye can also use this pokemon as a way to boost its attack with Swords Dance.
Right idea, but work on the wording here. Maybe something like "Decidueye can safely use this pokemon as set up fodder"

Waterfall is another reliable stab move that hits pokemon that are immune to Ground-type moves, these being Flying type pokemon such as Sigilyph and Braviary and Levitate pokemon like Mismagius and Rotom. This move paired with curse to lets Quagsire beat Bulk Up sets Braviary which can be a big problem for stall builds.
Looking at Waterfall's description and uses, I imagine Ice Punch to be a better fit here. Literally the only thing I can think of that Ice Punch would lose out on is the floating Ghosts, and those two don't typically carry any sort of recovery to take repeated Ice Punches anyway. Sure it can be mildly annoying against Roosting Flying-types, but between Curse and Ice Punch freezes, it's not like they can keep that up forever. Choosing Ice Punch also makes it so that Quag doesn't become an absolutely free switch-in for Grass-types, unlike Waterfall.

If Quagsire is using Scald this can be a really spammable move that can punish free switch ins Grass-type pokemon such as Decidueye, Whimsicott and Sceptile might have and burn them.
These two don't really care about burns, especially the latter which has a powerful Giga Drain. Replace with more suitable mentions, like Dhelmise and Torterra.

Set Details

An Impish nature paired with max HP and Defense investment allows Quagsire to take on a lot of physical attackers in the tier such as Incineroar, Passimian and Sneasel.
Mention Relaxed as well, since it's slashed.

The combination of Protect and Toxic can be used over Curse and Waterfall and can be useful to pressure Grass-type pokemon and other pokemon that can come in on Quagsire and make them take residual damage. Protect can also help sponge Z moves from Braviary and Incineroar, however this makes you more vulnerable against pokemon like Substitute Braviary sets, Scrafty and Malamar.
You can mention Toxic on its own since it can function well enough on its own without Protect, though Protect does want to be paired in tandem with Toxic for the reasons you've already mentioned.

**Grass-Type Pokemon**: Decidueye, Sceptile and Whimsicott, Dhelmise and Vileplume can all switch into Quagsire moves and OHKO it back with their Grass-type move due to its Four times weakness. Decidueye can safely use this pokemon as set up fodder.
Honestly any Grass-type attack in general, such as Grass Knot Slowbro, Bullet Seed Cinccino, Leaf Blade Gallade, etc. are enough to do Quagsire in, so you could rename & rework this section. Also Decidueye isn't that safe due to risk of Scald burn and Ice Punch does a not insignificant amount, so this could be reworded a bit.

**Special Attackers**: Vanilluxe, Guzzlord and Slowbro can take advantage of the poor Special Defense and mediocre offensive stats Quagsire has and switch in recieving little damage and OHKO or 2HKO Quagsire.
Should specify AV Slowbro is the one that threatens the 2HKO/OHKO with Grass Knot, though regular Slowbro can easily win as well. This section could do with some expanding anyway to include things like Rotom, Vivillon, Specs Diancie, Sigilyph, etc.

**Z-Move Pokemon**: Although Quagsire can beat most set up sweepers, pokemon like Braviary and Incineroar can 2HKO it with a bit of hazard damage due to the strong Z moves these pokemon can carry. Delphox and Houndoom can both use Solarbeam paired with Grassium-Z and OHKO Quagsire with Bloom Doom. Mismagius is another set up pokemon that Quagsire struggles to deal with since Ghostium-Z Shadow Ball can break through Quagsire due to its poor Special Defense.
Braviary doesn't typically carry a Z-Move; Dodrio may be a better mention, though you could opt for other examples. Mismagius doesn't even need to use a Z-Move to beat Quag; Shadow Ball already 3HKOes and Taunt denies recovery (you can include Mismagius in the Special Attackers section instead). You can replace this mention with Trick Room Aromatisse, which bypasses Quagsire's attempts to stall out Trick Room by blasting it with Twinkle Tackle.

Quagsire should be switched into set up setup sweepers such as Incineroar, Braviary, Klingklang Klinklang, (AC) and Scrafty. Audino can also pass huge Wishes maintaing to keep Quagsire healthy throughout the battle. Pokemon that resist Grass-type resists attacks such as Braviary and Vileplume are also very helpful to Quagsire, (AC) since they are able to take these hits while OHKOing the Grass-type opposing Pokemon in return. Golbat is especially helpful, (AC) since it can provide a way of hazard control in Defog while also checking the mayority majority of the Grass-type pokemon. Guzzlord and Alolan Sandslash also make great partners because they can help complement cover Quagsire's mediocre Special Defense and beat special attackers like Vanilluxe, Delphox, (AC) and Sceptile.

Toxic can be used over Curse and can be useful to pressure Grass-type Pokemon and other Pokemon that can come in on Quagsire, making them take with residual damage. Protect can be is another option Quagsire can use that, (AC) paired with Toxic, (AC) can take rack up more residual damage while also scouting what move Choice-locked (AH) Pokemon like Passimian and Vanilluxe go for. This move also helps Quagsire sponge Z-Moves (AH) from Braviary and Incineroar; (SC) however, (AC) this makes you more vulnerable against Pokemon like Substitute Braviary sets, Scrafty, (AC) and Malamar.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-type Attacks**: Set up Setup sweepers like Decidueye and Gallade can set up on Quagsire and bypass it due to the with their Grass-type coverage they have in Leaf Blade. Wallbreakers such as Slowbro, Dhelmise and Cinccino can also break through Quagsire with their Grass-type coverage. However, (AC) they all have to fear being burnt burned by Scald. Other Grass-type Pokemon like Sceptile, (AC) Whimsicott, (AC) and Vileplume can all switch into Quagsire moves and OHKO it back with their STAB moves due to its four times 4x weakness.

**Special Attackers**: Slowbro, Sigilyph, and Rotom can switch in comfortably switch into Quagsire and take advantage of the its poor Special Defense and mediocre offensive stats, (AC) Quagsire has and switch in recieving little damage and OHKOing or 2HKOing Quagsire it. Vivillion Vivillon and Mismagius can also take advantage of this and use Quagsire as an opportunity to set up. Vanilluxe and Guzzlord have a harder time coming in, (AC) since Earthquake can do solid damage, (AC) but when they are in, (AC) they can OHKO Quagsire with their STAB moves.

**Z-Move Pokemon Users**: Although Quagsire can beat most set up setup sweepers, Pokemon like Incineroar and Dodrio can 2HKO it with a bit of entry hazard damage due to the strong Z-Moves (AH) these pokemon they can carry. Delphox and Houndoom can both use Solarbeam Solar Beam paired with Grassium Z (RH) and OHKO Quagsire with Bloom Doom. Aromatisse is another set up setup Pokemon that Quagsire struggles to deal with, (AC) since Fairium Z (RH) Moonblast can break through Quagsire due to its poor Special Defense.

**Toxic**: When Quagsire is affected by Toxic, which can happen when facing bulky waters like Slowbro and Blastoise, it really affects its effectiveness is really compromised. While being affected Quagsire is forced to use Recover more often while also having a harder time checking set up setup sweepers like Incineroar and Scrafty.

[OVERVIEW]

Due to the combination of great typing, decent bulk, reliable recovery, and a great ability in Unaware, Quagsire has the ability to stop a lot of the most threatening setup sweepers in the tier. Unaware lets Quagsire check the likes of Klingklang Klinklang, Incineroar, Braviary, and Scrafty, making it a solid pick for stall builds, since they usually struggle against these Pokemon. Its great typing in Water / Ground leaves Quagsire with only one weakness. This, paired with its decent physical bulk, lets it counter most Stealth Rock users such as Steelix, Rhydon,(AC) and Piloswine,(AC) and as well as the most prominent Fire-type Pokemon in the tier,(AC) such as Incineroar.

However, although Quagsire's typing is great, it leaves it with a 4x weakness to Grass-type moves, making it susceptible to Pokemon such as Sceptile, Dhelmise and Whimsicott. Quagsire also has a mediocre Special Defense stat, making it hard to check special setup sweepers such as Delphox, Mismagius, and Vivillon,(AC) and leaving it susceptible to strong special attackers such as Vanilluxe, Guzzlord, and Vikavolt. Quagsire's low offensive stats also make it a pretty passive Pokemon that can invite in threatening pokemon Pokemon like Slowbro and Guzzlord. It also faces competition from Pyukumuku, which has better bulk and better utility moves like Block + Spite; the main advantage Quagsire has over this Pokemon is that it isn't useless against Taunt and Substitute users like Mismagius and Decidueye (QC comment: maybe say why it isn't Taunt bait? It is sort of implied, but hell Pyukumuku can technically bypass the initial Taunt turn with Poisonium Z Toxic).

Moves
========

Curse Boosts boosts Quagsire's Defense and Attack by one stage, making it easier for Quagsire to take physical hits from setup sweepers like Incineroar and Braviary and hit harder. It can also make Quagsire a niche late-game sweeper. Scald is the most spammable move Quagsire has, since it can punish Grass-type Pokemon such as Decidueye, Dhelmise, and Torterra that otherwise could otherwise switch in freely by burning them. Earthquake is the strongest STAB move Quagsire has and can hit common Stealth Rock and Spikes users like Garbodor and Steelix for super effective damage while also doing decent damage to neutral targets such as Vanilluxe, Passimian, and Guzzlord. .(RP) If Quagsire is using Ice Punch, it has the ability to hit Pokemon that are immune to Ground-type moves, these being Flying-type Pokemon such as Sigilyph and Braviary and Levitate Pokemon with the ability Levitate like Mismagius and Rotom, as well as punish frail Grass-type Pokemon like Sceptile and Whimsicott. Ice Punch paired with Curse lets Quagsire beat Bulk Up Braviary, which can be a big problem for stall builds. Recover provides longevity throughtout throughout the game.

Set Details
========

An Impish or Relaxed nature paired with maximum HP and Defense investment allows Quagsire to take on a lot of physical attackers such as Incineroar, Passimian, and Sneasel. Unaware allows Quagsire to check setup sweepers like Incineroar, Klinklang, and Braviary. Leftovers provides Quagsire with a form of passive recovery, which helps it reduce the number of times it has to go for Recover.

Usage Tips
========

Quagsire should be switched into setup sweepers such as Incineroar, Braviary, Klinklang, and Scrafty. While it's in, Quagsire should try to weaken Pokemon using Scald, since it can cripple its switch-ins with a burn. Earthquake is the strongest STAB move Quagsire has and should be used to weaken bulky Poison-type pokemon Pokemon like Garbodor and special attackers that might switch in like Vanilluxe; however, be wary of Flying-type Pokemon or Levitate users Pokemon with Levitate. Curse should be used to reduce damage from Bulk Up sweepers such as Braviary, Scrafty, and Malamar and to reduce damage from Incineroar's moves (maybe just change this to "physical attackers", since Unaware ignores their boosts regardless.). If Quagsire is using Ice Punch, it should be used to hit Earthquake-immune Pokemon and Grass-type Pokemon that might switch in. Quagsire should avoid being hit with Grass-type attacks and by Toxic, since this cripples its ability to check setup sweepers. It should also scout for strong Z-Moves from Pokemon like Braviary and Incineroar that can 2HKO it combined with another strong move.

Team Options

Pokemon that resist Grass-type attacks such as Braviary and Vileplume are also very helpful to Quagsire, since they are able to take these hits while OHKOing the opposing Pokemon in return and retaliate with strong STAB attacks (I don't think Vileplume can OHKO opposing Vileplume, so this makes the sentence factual 100% of the time rather than just sometimes.). Golbat is especially helpful, since it can provide a way of entry hazard control in Defog while also checking the majority of the Grass-type pokemon Pokemon. Guzzlord and Alolan Sandslash also make great partners because they can help cover Quagsire's mediocre Special Defense and beat special attackers like Vanilluxe, Delphox, and Sceptile.

a few notes:
you had a few random double spaces from the last implement, so make sure when you implement your second check you look it over a few times
always capitalize 'Pokemon'
if you're gonna list Pokemon that say, outspeed something, and want to specify that only one of them is a Choice Scarf user, then place that last Pokemon at the end of the list for clarity
as far as I am aware, a Pokemon doesn't use an ability; rather, it has an ability
