Welcome to Week 34 of the Random Battles Team Tour, where eight teams will compete for the title of RBTT Champion as well as a custom avatar!

Tournament Rules

• The tournament will consist of 8 teams battling it out in a Round Robin format over seven weeks; after that, the four best teams overall will move onto playoffs.
• Each series will be played as a Best of 3.
• Matches are to be played on Pokémon Showdown.
• Do not make baseless activity posts, get in contact with your opponent and report missed times / scheduling issues only.
• Replays of the matches must be posted to verify a win; if replays are not posted, the match doesn't count.

General Tournament Rules

• Scheduling: Attempt to contact your opponent by posting on their smogon profile as soon as possible. It is strongly advised to schedule publicly there on Smogon so the host can make any necessary activity calls. If you cannot get in contact with your opponent, inform the host in this thread so we can make any necessary substitution. If you have made no visible contact, the host may substitute you out for another player.
• Timer Clause and Disconnections: The timer is not required to be on during games; however, if the timer is on and a player runs out of time, their opponent wins the game via timeout. If a player disconnects and thus times out, this also counts as a loss for the player who disconnected.
• Don't ghost. As of recent tournaments-forum rules, this also includes calcing for teammates that are playing, so please do not delegate doing calcs to your teammates when you play.

Gen 7 Random Battle: LordST vs Piyush25 (LordST has had many great runs in this gen).
Gen 5 Random Battle: TheFranklin vs Expulso (Both great players, but arce9 has been seen to perform more often well, I think).
Gen 4 Random Battle: El químico del pueblucho vs Trade (Both great, but Trade's focus and vigilance has brought them a long way).
Gen 3 Random Battle: London13 vs xGang (two losses don't really speak to xGang's ability. Their performance last year was amazing).

Gen 8 Random Battle: GXE vs Shookington (highlight matchup. I've faced both on the ladder a lot and they're quite good GXE has had a lot of Ws though.)
Gen 8 Random Battle: Icemaster vs Stareal (based off of performance vs one of the gen 8 players this season in RBTT).
Gen 7 Random Battle: mj vs Legendary (not an easy pick. both incredible. I've had a lot of prior experience with legendary in rands and he can make some sophisticated plays. So can mj though, but this is a good MU).
Gen 5 Random Battle: faint vs Tomahawk (based off of performance vs one of the gen 5 players this season in RBTT).
Gen 4 Random Battle: Jytcampbell vs O1V7O2X9O (renowned Gen 4 player who has done consistently well in various editions).
Gen 3 Random Battle: Roginald vs Xceloh (has had a fine record in Gen 3 and is fresh off of victory vs the one who has defeated xGang).
Gen 1 Random Battle: tylerfitz8 vs rabbit13 (I hear people talk about rabbit more, so there we go).
Gen 8 Hackmons Cup: Petros vs Zephyr Dragon Lord (Renowned HC player, but honestly so is Petros. I've just seen ZDL more and have had him as my HC player in two RBTTs).
Gen 7 Battle Factory: lax vs temp (Incredible record).
Gen 8 BSS Factory: Z Strats vs luisin (I've seen them perform generally well in the last edition).
Gen 8 Random Doubles Battle: Elgino vs Memoric (renowned doubles player. Elgino is great and plays a lot of things, but don't know if he's got what it takes for Memoric).
Gen 8 Monotype Random Battle: kythr vs Sylveon used calm mind (Sylv destroyed the Gen 8 ladder recently. Despite the first two losses, that doesn't deny their capability).

Gen 8 Random Battle: PikaPlayer vs benJAMIN (highlight matchup. I've seen benJAMIN perform more often and he's a sophisticated player. Pika can also win this no problem, depends on how mentally prepared they are).
Gen 8 Random Battle: KyogreF4N vs Lady Writer (the renaissance of Lady Writer began after my Gen 8 randbats retirement. They seem to be doing quite well and became suddenly renowned).
Gen 7 Random Battle: bobomania vs duck (fwiw duck has climbed high on the ladder often, but I think bobo's got this one).
Gen 5 Random Battle: Dj Breloominati♬ vs ajhockeystar (('ve seen aj perform more often, but I can't speak to the skill of Dj.)
Gen 4 Random Battle: Celever vs SMB (Highlight matchup. Hard to bold just one side honestly).
Gen 3 Random Battle: HeadsILoseTailsYouWin vs Ereshkigal (Again, very hard to bold just one side. Highlight matchup. But Anna is on a streak right now. This could easily be ended by Eresh, my old Gen 3 goat. We'll see).

Gen 8 Hackmons Cup: Nudepantsman vs Shadows4 (I know Shadows more in battle. Interesting matchup).
Gen 7 Battle Factory: ORAS-Mega vs MichaelderBeste2 (I have never bolded against Michael but I have never seen him play outside rands. ORAS-Mega has been dominating a lot of series so I think this goes to them. But Michael's skills can come in clutch for him too. Very good matchup).

Gen 7 Random Battle: Staxi vs Betathunder (Team Yveltal is so stacked ngl, Beta is a really good gen 7 player and I believe they'll win this week as well)

Gen 3 Random Battle: London13 vs xGang (Another member of the 'Loosing the first 2 weeks as first picks club' but he also a member of the redemption arc crew this week :D)

I have a bone to pick. It has come to my attention that you have predicted the hoopas to win 12-0. However, in my experience, Roginald has simply never lost a game in his entire life. It doesn't happen, and is frankly an insult to even imply as much. Like his forefathers, roginald has colonized the gen 3 metagame. His pure skill and devotion is why the gen 3 metagame is called advance. Like the stupid French Fries he dubs "chips," he chips away at opposing pokemon HP. He does it so swiftly that by the time the sixth mon is on its last legs, you'll still be forming a game plan. Roginald may be a soccer main, but do not let this distract you from his pure and utter devotion. As such, I think a 11-1 prediction would have been more appropriate. Ty
