Ting-Lu and their tandems serve to be incredibly bulky and long lasting. Ting-Lu does what they do best by spreading hazards and walling special attackers. The tandems can chip away at or break right through opposing teams while recovering easily from hits, forcing out opponents who can't break these Pokémon or that are threatened by their powerful attacks. This damage is aided by Ting-Lu's hazards, creating synergy where the head enables the various tandems to wear away at the opponent's team.

I was trying to think of cool natdex mons to submit. I originally wanted to do Koko but Star told me that there was already a koko in the metagame (and oh wow they gave it hadron engine) and then I decided "I feel like Random Tandem is a metagame where Dracovish would be not overbearing and also I quite like Dracovish so why don't we build rain?"
Thundy is the head because I felt like while it's a good mon it's not the most splashable due to the number of flying heads and also the Zapdos in the metagame. I didn't want Pelipper to be the head, despite wanting Rain, as I felt like that would make Dracovish far too good of a pull and the overall tandem a bit too strong.
Pelipper is your rain setter, very standard stuff. Dragon and Ground are tera types good into electric moves idk what else you make your pelipper really.
Dracovish is here! I felt like Choice items would be too strong, CB + Rain felt like too many multipliers even with Tandem EVs and Choice Scarf felt like too fast even with Tandem EVs. Mystic Water provides a power boost but not a super strong one, and also lets it click any of its other moves if it wants to. Dragon Hammer is a reliable (but not that crazy) second stab that both hits Ogerpon and isn't Leech Life.
edit: It also doesn't have tera water to limit the amount of multipliers it has. Both its tera types have some defensive utility (especially Steel), and Dragon boosts Dragon Hammer.
This used to have Iron Head but it was kind of a dead slot so Low Kick is here now!
I throw Eject Button Hatterene onto all my rain teams so I'd be remiss to not include it. I know there's another Hatterene in the tandems already but this one is Eject & HWish and that one's CM / Leftovers so they play differently. How does Tandem species clause work?
I wasn't happy with my last slot - originally it was Bisharp but I didn't like how rolling Hatt + Bisharp would feel. It hit me that "OH Iron Treads maybe?" and then I realized "What if I gave it tera water liquidation wouldn't that be funny" and then here we are. Go my rain.
After G-Luke’s feedback I made this Wave Crash, as Liquidation simply isn’t spicy enough for it (especially since it won’t roll it all the time!)
Hatt is good, many teams lack hazard control, so a head that has Magic Bounce is very useful. Overall this tandem leans heavily into Balance, so this is useful if that's what you want as well.
I really like this guy, has decent utility with its defensive typing + access to Knock Off. I think having access to Bullet Punch feels better.
Toxapex can't have both Scald and Knock Off, you can only add 1 new move or ability.
I think this is kinda cool, Ferrothorn seems like a strong pick, Gigaton Hammer is a bitch though, that will be annoying to face.
Ting-Lu is very strong in Tandem, lots of Electric types are possible in the tier. Hazard Control is somewhat rare in this metagame, so having a Head with dedicated means of getting up hazards is always gonna be extremely valuable. Beefy ass Mon. I also think the tandems chosen for the most part respects the power level that Ting brings.
Triage feels kinda nuts. I've played metagame's where this is a thing, I can safely say this feels very scary, alot more than trouble is worth.
Keeps up powerful Boombursts, without having extra scary stuff like Calm Mind makes it a solid Mon that can trade offensively with most Pokémon in the tier. Wish is also a rare but extremely useful tool as well.
I'm kind of worried about Well Baked Body Cele tbh. Most teams rely on Fire types or Fire coverage to bypass this, especially since Ting-Lu basically means opposing Electrics (especially tandems) aren't doing much.
This is pretty great, I am always a big fan of Dirge so cooler Dirge will always be a good thing to me.
Cinderace is good, fast strong Fire type. Guaranteed hazard control with Court Change will also be great as well. Was worried about the power but Donphan really course corrects the power of the team for me.
Solid Ground in my opinion, Donphan can take hits and dish it out with Headlong pretty comfortably. Real life case of Tusk at Home, inspired choice.
I been wanted a Grassy Terrain setter in the metagame, so I am glad Tapu Bulu got some rep here. Not necessarily my fav way to run Bulu, but SD will be fun way to utilize the guy. I feel like Steel and Poison is largely redundant Tera types here tbh.
I like Kingambit, and while I was ultimately worried for awhile especially if it rolls GTerrain support, I think it can be managed.
(Wait this has Knock Off I no longer like this guy).
Edit: Knock is gone
I don't personally like Iron Boulder, but it does load up with the apparently rare Rock and/or Psychic which can definitely be seen as a plus in a scarce metagame like this.
Calm Mind Keldeo seems nice, Electro Shift feels so funny but it does basically guarantee that it not only wins in the 1v1 versus other Keldeo, but other Water types present as well.
I love it. Big fan of bulky Buzzwole, even if Fighting types it walls are not that common right now.
Does Chi-Yu not have any coverage? I am actually not sure how good dedicated Tera guys are in this meta but this is cool never the less, I love Dark types.
Interesting how the power level has developed between this and OG Shaymin being submitted.
Vikavolt is actually pretty good when in a metagame like this, and Webs is a solid offensive archetype, especially when built around it. The choices are ok, but I feel your team deserves a) A Pokemon that is good into offense whether or not Webs are up and B) a bonified, genuine OU and up Pokémon to be here.
Archeops doesn't learn Brave Bird, so you can't have both it and Regenerator. Gotta pick one. And imo without keeping both I am hard pressed to argue for Arch to still be here
Underrated Goat imo, and I love the choice of Triple Axel here - targets alot of the Pokemon that Breloom struggles with. Just to note, I suggest two things that are important in this metagame. You definitely should have a defensive Tera Type, like Fire. Breloom is pretty susceptible to burns in this metagame. I also think Protective Pads as an item option should be considered as a slot. LO is crazy strong but eats away at Loom's health, and so many natural switching to Breloom are also contact punishers (RH Skarm, Moltres, Zapdos). I think it's benefits are worth being a side option alongside LO.
Great Mon. I didn't think Play Rough was awful personally but this version is definitively a major improvement.
Good condensed hazard removal blocker, though I am surprised (but pleased) you didn't default to Gholdengo here.
Pokemon: Golisopod Abilities: Tough Claws Item: Heavy Duty Boots Tera Types: Fighting Moves: First Impression, Liquidation, Spikes Close Combat

Arcanine-Hisui is a good Mon, naturally I made it a key part of Zuzu's kit. Adds a Rocker, priority and a strong wallbreaker. I also think the tandems are mostly balanced.
Great add, Tough Claws makes this an excellent pick as an offensive Mon. Hits like a sledgehammer, and STAB Fimp with TC basically guarantees revenge killing. Leech Life is also a nice option like what HTC said.
Strong Ass Mon. Glad this cannot click Swords Dance and GLAD this doesn't have fucking Glacial Lance to nuke shit. I have faced a full power Calyrex-Ice and it's a bitch to handle, but this should be much more reasonable.
I respect that you not only acknowledged that Thundurus-Therian may run into issues with Zapdos wise so you made it different. The difference being Rain is amazing.
I think Iron Head is kinda useless as an option here. I don't think there is anything that exists that you want to click Iron Head against that Fisheous Rend doesn't hit harder. I understand wanting to synergize with the good defensive Tera typing, but it's still true. Crunch, Low Kick and PsyFangs in my opinion are all better options to run, depending on what you see in the metagame.
I feel like in a meta where it can't guarantee the Water Tera nor am auto rain setter, and especially since Water coverage is pretty alright in the grand scheme of things for it, Treads deserves to have some crazy Water moves. Surging Strikes, Wave Crash, Crabhammer, Aqua Step let's get CREATIVE.
Muk-Alola feels interesting as an option. I am not sure how Ghost/Psychic heavy our squad is currently, which is why I'd want to hear why you chose this as your head, as it's usually not a center piece guy.
Basically same thoughts as what I was saying with Yoshi, but slightly better because it doesn't run my speed tier agenda that much and Photon Geyser is fun.
Imo a great anti offense Mon. Sash and Scarf allows it to revenge kill in different ways that are both pretty useful depending on your position. Life Orb is much more about straight wallbreaking, and it definitely feels the strength behind those LO boosted attacks.
He deserves 1 move outside of Technician range. Idc which one gets buffed, but give it something 80 - 90 BP (non STAB probably gets to go higher ig).
I agree, Triage does seem rather strong. Do you think something like Levitate would be more balanced? I could also see a more offensive ability like Tough Claws working, being balanced out by Iron Hand's low speed. A funnier direction could be to drop Ice Punch for Trick Room and run Booster Energy as you're stuck with Quark Drive. I'm not a big fan of that though, even though SD + TR is proven to work on Calyrex-Ice.
Agreed again—thinking Water Absorb could be a good compromise as it's a neutral hit and pairs well with Ting-Lu and Skeledirge being weak to water. If you have a better idea let me know.
I was considering swapping Infernal Parade with Hex as the former has lower power, and the burn chance matters little with Will-O-Wisp. Additionally, I think Sizzly Slide would be amazing here over Will-O-Wisp, but I'm worried it might be too good as it provides some chip, cannot miss, and can't be shut down by Taunt.
Veto: Yeah, you can't have both Scald and Knock on Toxapex. Either way, I do like the Metagross and Ferrothorn, and I'm curious to see how the Polteageist set works in practice, although I have very little faith in it but it's okay.

Veto: Triage Iron Hands is much too strong, Levitate and Tough Claws as you suggested would be much more managable picks. Aside from that, I do like this. We need another bulky ground Head and Ting-Lu is a great choice into Juggy and psyspam. The rest of the tandems are very solid defensive pieces too.
Wow, very strong mons all around. I would maybe have kept Leaf Storm over Seed Flare on Shay and slot a weaker Electric move on Keld, but I could be overreacting, so I'm not gonna veto. I appreciate Buzz and Flash Fire Chi-Yu.
While the Zydog is a crazy mon, I'm not sure if the rest of the Tandem set carries its weight much, namely Breloom and Typh. I would soup those guys up a little more.

This is good, but I'm not a super huge believer in Water move Treads. I think it would function fine without it, you're better off using your extra slot for more utility/non-Quark Drive ability.
Took me a bit to realize cosplay Pikachu is your NatDex slot. Very strange Tandem aside from just the bird, but I guess it's what top OU mons deserve. I'll let it slide this time.
