Old Gens RBY OU Rhydon [QC 1/1] [GP 1/1]

Plague von Karma

Banned deucer.
Rhydon
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Body Slam
- Substitute

With the powerful Electric-type attacks thrown around in RBY OU, there will always be one threat to stop them: Rhydon! Rhydon is often used in the popular "MieDon" core with Starmie, where they compensate for each other's weaknesses. Once an entire team has been paralyzed, it's not uncommon to see Rhydon simply run an opposing team over. Rhydon has historically been seen as the main counter to the powerful Zapdos, whose STAB attacks are quite difficult to take on directly. Rhydon's most interesting trait is its use of Substitute, though. With this, Rhydon is capable of beating paralyzed Reflect Chansey with relative consistency, as Chansey's Seismic Toss can't break Rhydon's 103-HP Substitutes! In the past, Rhydon and Golem were often compared, but the latter's worse Attack and tendency to not stick around has led to Rhydon being seen as the superior pick. Give it a shot!

Change 'special attacks' (referring to Zapdos) to 'STAB attacks' or even just 'attacks' - Drill Peck is important

Rhydon has been seen as better than Golem for a good while now, you can probably drop the 'recently'. And when you're explaining why, you gotta mention Rhydon's extra attack as the main reason - Explosion is by all accounts a better move than Substitute, it's just not enough to make Golem worth using. But frankly, Rhydon being better than Golem is basically as clear as Alakazam being better than Kadabra by now, so I wonder if it's worth it to mention this at all.

The rest is alright
