Well any round robin without an incentive to play once you are out is going to result in problems. In Group B's case, it's not punishing playing early, because walkovers are worth less than actual wins in a tiebreaker, as is logical and I don't think is really disputed. So unfortunately, if a tie exists between just HANTSUKI and Tesung, it's Tesung going through. Since I didn't list specific tie-break criteria, I'm the one ultimately deciding who goes through, so I am bearing in mind as many factors as I can. Round robins are usually unfair if games remain unplayed, but who goes through is decided by the degree of unfairness if they didn't go through. I welcome any input on the tournament format and way to decide these complicated ties though (VM or PM).
