[OVERVIEW]

Regigigas at first glance looks good to use because of its stats, movepool, and great utility options; however, the problem lies in its ability Slow Start, as it halves its Attack and Speed for 5 turns, which takes out any offensive use for this Pokemon. Although Slow Start reactivates every time it switches in, Regigigas can still spread status and Knock Off items. It is outclassed by other Normal-type Pokemon like Stoutland and Kangaskhan because they have a more useful ability and more use offensively.

[SET COMMENTS]

This set attempts to spread status, Knock Off items, and use Thunder Wave and Substitute to avoid status and stall out turns to get rid of Slow Start. However, Regigigas struggles with this because it gets outpaced by most of the metagame, as it will take a hit before it gets a chance to move and its attacks will hit weakly. Furthermore, it gets easily gets worn down due to its unreliable recovery from Leftovers and Drain Punch, as it does not have access to moves like Rest and Protect. Other Normal-type Pokemon like Stoutland and Kangaskhan both have a more immediate offensive presence, with their ability allowing them to hit Ghost-type Pokemon with their STAB moves, and have their own niches like Stoutland's Pursuit and Kangaskhan's access to two priority moves.

Regigigas at first glance looks good to use because of its stats, movepool, and great utility options, however, the problem lies in its ability Slow Start as it halves its Attack and Speed for 5 turns, which takes out any use this Pokemon has for the team (not necessarily, it can still spread status and knock items off but it has basically no offensive presence during this time so specify that). It is outclassed by other Normal-type Pokemon like Audino and Dodrio due to Audino having recovery and can offer its team utility with Knock Off and Wish and Dodrio has access to Knock Off and better offensive stats to become a more offensive threat (would rather make this Stoutland and Kangaskhan > Dodrio since they share similar levels of bulk but also have an actually useful ability and more immediate power and whatnot.) (i'm also not very keen on having audino mentioned. i get that it's also a normal with utility options but they fit on two entirely separate archetypes and audino operates drastically differently overall)

This set attempts to spread status as well as Knock Off items (smth about how it can use twave + substitute to stall out turns for slow start and potentially avoid status). However, Regigigas struggles with this because it gets outpaced by most of the metagame as it will take a hit before it gets a chance to move (also piss weak during slow start). Furthermore, It gets easily gets worn down due to its passive recovery from Leftovers and Drain Punch (did you mean to say it has no reliable recovery options?). Other Normal-type Pokemon like Dodrio and Audino do its job better and in Dodrio's case have a more offensive presence and be able to take care of Fighting-types thanks to its Flying-typing (same as above)
