Set Description
========

- In conjunction with Iron Defense, Body Press helps Registeel wall and shut down threats like Rillaboom, Aggron, Choice Band Regidrago, and Zeraora.
- Amnesia helps check Pokemon such as Custap Berry Primarina and Timid Naganadel.
- Rest is Registeel's only recovery move, allowing it to heal off damage to avoid being KOed, with the sleep turns to help against opposing PP stallers like Kyurem.

EVs
========

- Maximum HP investment coupled with 200 Special Defense EVs allow Registeel to avoid giving Download users like Genesect a boost to their Special Attack.
- 56 EVs in Defense alongside a Bold nature improves Registeel's physical bulk against the likes of Rillaboom, Zeraora, and Aggron.
- Alternatively, Registeel can run a spread of 252 HP / 4 Def / 128 SpD / 124 Spe with a Bold nature to tank Choice Specs Regieleki's Electro Ball twice as well as improving its matchup against Encore Calm Mind Primarina.

Usage Tips
========

- Registeel is pretty simple to use: boost its stats based on whether the foe you are facing is special or physical and get rid of the threat utilizing Body Press or PP stall them down to the point where they struggle.
- Against Porygon-Z, it is ideal to use Body Press on the first turn so that can if they try to lock Registeel into its first move with Trick, it can be OHKOed. This only applies to the former when it is not running Rest.
- Against Primarina, it is essential to use Amnesia on the first turn, even if you expect it to run Encore, as Registeel's Special Defense will be so high that you eventually stall it out. However, it should be noted that it loses to Encore Calm Mind Primarina, so be wary when playing against Primarina.

- Registeel can run a Counter set utilizing the moves Counter / Amnesia / Rest / Seismic Toss alongside a spread of 248 HP / 172 Def / 88 SpD with a Calm nature to handle physical attackers Choice Band Garchomp as well as other physical attackers like Choice Band Zeraora, Haxorus, and Kartana. However, it should be noted that it now loses to Swords Dance Rillaboom with High Horsepower or Superpower and Choice Band Aggron with Earthquake, Superpower, or Low Kick.

- Against Primarina, it is essential to use Amnesia on the first turn, even if you expect it to run Encore, as Registeel’s Special Defense will be so high that u eventually stall it out. (Encore CM Hydro Cannon Primarina wins here anyway, perhaps mention that?)
