[SET COMMENTS]
Rhydon's amazing STAB combination coupled with a great Attack stat and solid bulk makes it one of the premier Stealth Rock users in the current RU metagame. Rhydon is able to exploit the prevalence of Pokemon such as Salazzle, Steelix, and Snorlax by stomaching their hits and dealing significant amounts of damage in return. Rock Blast is preferred over Stone Edge due to its higher accuracy and ability to beat Substitute Salazzle, but Stone Edge offers consistently higher power. Swords Dance allows Rhydon to muscle through bulkier Pokemon that it usually can't such as Jellicent, Vileplume, and Snorlax. Ice Punch and Megahorn are decent options to nail Pokemon like Virizion, but Swords Dance is generally preferred due to letting Rhydon take on the aforementioned Pokemon. Eviolite boosts Rhydon's bulk by a significant amount. Maximum attack and max speed with an Adamant nature allows Rhydon to outspeed defensive Pokemon such as Vileplume and Jellicent.
Pokemon that benefit from the removal of Fire-types like Salazzle and Charizard such as Vileplume, Silvally-Fairy, and Rillaboom make for stellar teammates. Pokemon like Salazzle and Charizard can handle troublesome Grass-types, while Vileplume, Virizion, Drampa, and Rillaboom are able to break past Water-types for Rhydon. Wallbreakers that appreciate Stealth Rock chip such as Copperajah, Alolan Raichu, and Virizion greatly appreciate Rhydon's ability to set it Stealth Rock effectively. Teammates that can handle Fighting-types such as Jellicent, Silvally-Fairy, and Aromatisse work well with Rhydon, and the latter being is able to pass it Wishes to offset its lack of recovery. Indeedee makes for a very solid teammate due to it appreciating the removal of Steel-types that Rhydon is able to dispatch.
