[OVERVIEW]
Ribombee can be a passable option as a fast special attacker thanks to its high Speed tier and good coverage. It can revenge kill an assortment of offensive threats, including Choice Band Zygarde-10%, Nasty Plot Salazzle, Noivern, and Virizion, and has Quiver Dance to beat Choice Scarf users that would otherwise revenge kill it. Ribombee also has a few appealing support options in Sticky Web, Tailwind, and Defog, which could potentially fill holes in a team. Unfortunately, several large weaknesses prevent Ribombee from being very common in the metagame. While Bug / Fairy isn't a terrible defensive typing, Ribombee's absurd frailty means it can only switch into passive walls and weak resisted hits. Anything remotely strong, even resisted, will likely 2HKO it. While fast, it still is outsped by every relevant Choice Scarf user when unboosted, and most of them will OHKO it as long as Stealth Rock is up. Priority users such as Doublade and Zygarde-10% can also prove troublesome. Having average Special Attack for a sweeper forces Ribombee to use its Z-Move to revenge kill prominent threats like Virizion, leaving it depleted for potential future sweeps. Finally, common special tanks on bulky teams like Mega Steelix, Registeel, Snorlax, and Bronzong can weather even boosted attacks, making Ribombee struggle to successfully dent holes in such teams.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Quiver Dance allows Ribombee to boost its Special Attack and Speed to high levels and buff its Special Defense to something respectable. Moonblast is Ribombee's strongest STAB move, possessing strong neutral coverage. Psychic prevents common Poison-types such as Nidoqueen and Salazzle from walling Ribombee. Bug Buzz can be used over Psychic to have another strong STAB option and hit threats like Shaymin, Cresselia, Meloetta, and Bronzong harder, but losing the coverage for Poison-types will make it much harder to pull off a sweep. Hidden Power Fire hits the numerous Steel-types in RU, including Escavalier and Mega Steelix.

Set Details
========

252 Special Attack EVs let Ribombee hit as hard as possible. 252 Speed EVs with a Timid nature allow unboosted Ribombee to outspeed threats like Noivern and Zygarde-10%, and even the fastest Choice Scarf users like Salazzle after a boost. Fairium Z lets Ribombee break through some naturally bulky Fairy-neutral checks like Gardevoir and Shaymin. Shield Dust prevents secondary effects from attacks that Ribombee might tank while boosting like Milotic's Scald.

Usage Tips
========

Remove priority users such as Doublade, Zygarde-10%, Golisopod, Medicham, and Mega Glalie before attempting to boost, as they can quickly cut a sweep short. Try to preserve Ribombee's health early-game so that it has a better chance to survive a hit when it needs to boost. You should avoid bringing it in with direct switches, but you can still use this set to revenge kill if necessary. Weakening Ribombee's checks and counters to the point where Twinkle Tackle can KO them will allow you to sweep more easily. Keeping entry hazards away for Ribombee allows it to revenge kill early- and mid-game without removing its ability to sweep late-game.

Team Options
========

Ground-types such as Nidoqueen, Mega Steelix, and Rhyperior can both threaten Steel-types and keep Stealth Rock on the field to increase Ribombee's chance of sweeping. Fighting-types such as Medicham, Virizion, and Bewear can break holes in special tanks like Snorlax, Registeel, and Porygon2, creating chances for Ribombee to sweep the rest of your opponent's team. Roserade and Gardevoir are interesting teammate options on hyper offense teams, as with Sleep Powder and Memento they can give Ribombee chances to set up freely. Mega Blastoise synergizes very well with Ribombee, providing both good coverage and hazard removal. Pursuit trappers like Drapion and Sneasel can remove troublesome Ribombee checks like Bronzong and Alolan Marowak.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A Sticky Web lead set with Focus Sash is usable, but Sticky Web offense is too unreliable for this set to warrant much attention. Tailwind can give wallbreakers a couple turns to wreak havoc. Choice Specs can be used to try combining wallbreaking and revenge killing in one set, but Ribombee likes to switch moves so it can use its coverage. Defog can be used if you desperately need hazard removal and can't fit it anywhere else, but Ribombee is horrible at removing because of its Stealth Rock weakness and inability to adequately threaten most hazard users.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-types**: Fire-types easily punish Ribombee for attempting to sweep too early and can come in on most of its coverage options. Alolan Marowak gets chances to fire off powerful attacks, Ninetales can set up Nasty Plot, and Rotom-H can get a chance to remove hazards or spread status.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types wall Ribombee's STAB moves, with most also having the bulk to take boosted Hidden Power Fire comfortably. Mega Steelix, Bronzong, and Registeel can do so while retaliating with STAB attacks or Toxic.

**Special Tanks**: Ribombee's average Special Attack means that walls such as Snorlax, Porygon2, and even Cresselia if Ribombee doesn't have Bug Buzz will take its hits easily and be free to either attack it or use Toxic and stall it.

**Faster Threats**: While it has an amazing natural Speed tier, Choice Scarf users such as Gardevoir, Roserade, and Salazzle can revenge kill any unboosted Ribombee, and priority users like Zygarde-10%, Medicham, Pangoro, and Golisopod will beat it regardless with a little chip damage.

After much though about what to do with this mon, I think you just should be focused on the quiver dance set since honestly it is the set that manages to pull off its weight on most matches tbh so lets roll with that set exclusively. No need for a specs set, that can go into OO, and Sticky lead is already there (Good, cause Id rather use araquanid and even galvantula over that).

move 4: Hidden Power Fire

Fairium Z is essential cause the Z-Move let it plow through resists a lot more easily if needed, and life orb doesnt do it any favors with the recoil alongside its really lackluster bulk (like stealth rock + a life orb round means that golisopod revenges kill you while without the life orb recoil it is a roll on your favor) and avoiding the recoil makes it a bit more resilient to being revenge killed by priority so easily.

The rest looks fine tho so whenever you get to trim the rest tag me again to give it a second look.

MrAldo did this, wording / content may be awkward in some places since QD wasn't written as main set first. Took tailwind out of OOs due to discussion in discord (notably aero being better at it)

  • Ribombee can be a passable option as a fast Special Attacker thanks to it's high speed tier and good coverage. i wouldn’t say “good” coverage cause u only have like psychic lol, instead say how its stabs are offensively valuable or something
  • Ribombee can revenge kill an assortment of offensive threats in the RU metagame such as Choice Band Zygarde-10%, Nasty Plot Salazzle, Noivern, and Virizion. mention that offensive teams often have trouble dealing with these (aslo that u can only deal with lazzle if runing psychic)
  • It also has access to Quiver Dance which can allow it to beat Choice Scarf users who normally revenge kill it.
  • Unfortunately, several large weaknesses prevent Ribombee from being very common in the metagame. this is fluff, either expand on it or remove it entirely
  • While Bug / Fairy isn't a terrible defensive typing, Ribombee's absurd frailty only lets it switch into passive walls and weak resisted hits. Anything remotely strong, even resisted, will likely 2hko it.
  • A Stealth Rock weakness makes Ribombee more easily revenge killed by common priority users like Entei and Medicham.

id also say the quad fight resist can be useful (not particularly reliable tho) if ur weak to those

id mention a modest nature here (doesnt need to be slashed) cause you still outspeed just about every relevant fast mon unboosted except lazzle and noivern but gives u a fair amount of power which ribombee lacks and also people wont really stay into most ribombees if they outspeed anyways. you could aslo mention life orb here or in oo.

Usage Tips
========
  • You can use weaker Special walls such as Umbreon and Gligar as setup bait, but be careful to calculate if you can complete your sweep before potential Toxic damage will KO you.
  • Remove all Priority users such as Entei, Zygarde-10%, Golisopod, Medicham, and Mega Glalie before attempting to boost, as they can quickly cut your sweep short.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types punish Ribombee really heavily for attempting to sweep too early, and can come in on most of its coverage options. Entei gets a chance to fire off powerful boosted attacks, Ninetales and Moltres can set up Nasty Plot or Agility respectively, and Rotom-H can get a chance to remove hazards or spread status. agility moltres is very uncommon id probably just throw it in with entei or say something about uturn

**Steel-types**: Steel-types wall Ribombee's STAB moves, with most also having the bulk to be able to take boosted Hidden Power Fire comfortably. Mega Steelix, Bronzong, and Registeel all will be able to tank +1 Hidden Power Fire easily, while retaliating with either Super Effective Steel-type STAB or Toxic.

**Special Tanks**: Ribombee's average Special Attack leaves it unable to break through some of the more specially bulky tanks in RU. Walls such as Snorlax, Porygon2, and even Cresselia if Ribombee doesn't have Bug Buzz, will all take its hits easily and be free to either attack it or use Toxic and stall it. mention modest improving the mu vs these

Even a resisted First Impression from Golisopod will do huge damage.

mention its good support pool
talk about how its very lackluster special attack pressures it to use its zmove early. for example, moonblast vs viriz does only 73, rib can't successfully revenge kill it w/out using zmove

Looking really good

- On Set Details it is important to point out some of the notable mons it can outspeed and KO naturally thanks to its speed tier. Mention that 252 Spe and Timid Nature let it outspeed Noivern and Zydog naturally, which are notable threats for the type of builds you could find Ribombee being a part of.
- Add Choice Specs on the other options part. Wouldnt hurt to add this. Also mention Tailwind having some uses alongside the sticky web set to help wallbreakers for a set amount of turns.
- Remove some Moltres mentions I see on some places. It has left the building.

QC 2/3 when implemented. Now proceed to write it up so can you pester some other QC peeps :]

[OVERVIEW]

Ribombee can be a passable option as a fast Special Attacker thanks to it's ("It's" means "it is," whereas "its" is possessive) high speed (Always capitalize stat names [i.e. Attack, Defense, Special Defense]) tier and good coverage. It can revenge kill an assortment of offensive threats in the RU metagame such as Choice Band Zygarde-10%, Nasty Plot Salazzle, Noivern, (good job having that comma after Noivern) and Virizion, alongside having access to Quiver Dance. Boosting with Quiver Dance allows it to beat Choice Scarf users who normally revenge kill it (add examples imo). Ribombee also has a few appealing support options in Sticky Web, Tailwind, (AC) and Defog that could potentially fill holes in a team. Unfortunately, several large weaknesses prevent Ribombee from being very common in the metagame. While Bug / Fairy (good job getting the order right) isn't a terrible defensive typing, Ribombee's absurd frailty only lets it switch into passive walls and weak resisted hits. Anything remotely strong, even resisted, will likely 2hko 2HKO it. A Stealth Rock weakness makes Ribombee more easily revenge killed more easily by common priority users like Entei (change this example, Entei was banned) and Medicham. While fast, it still is outsped by every relevant Choice Scarf user when unboosted, most of whom (great use of "whom" here) will OHKO as long as Stealth Rock are is up. Its average Special Attack for as a sweeper forces Ribombee to use its Z-move Z-Move to revenge kill prominent threats like such as (you used "like" a lot before) Virizion, leaving your health depleted for future sweeps. Finally, common Special special (since this is not a stat name, "special" does not need to be capitalized) tanks on Balance and Stall balance and stall (playstyles are not capitalized) like Mega Steelix, Registeel, Snorlax, and Bronzong can weather withstand (I understand why you used weather but it doesn't work here, as generally it means to withstand a storm in particular) even boosted attacks, making Ribombee struggle to successfully dent holes in bulkier teams.

Quiver Dance allows Ribombee to boost both its SpA Special Attack and Speed to high levels, as well as buffing its Special Defense to something respectable a respectable level. Moonblast is your strongest STAB move, hitting Dragon-, Dark-, and Fighting-types hard. Psychic prevents common Fairy-type checks from walling you, notably Poison-types such as Nidoqueen and Salazzle. Bug Buzz can be used over Psychic to have another strong STAB option and hit threats like Shaymin, Meloetta, and Bronzong harder, but losing the coverage versus Poison-types will make it much harder to successfully pull off a sweep. Hidden Power Fire hits the numerous Steels Steel-types in RU such as Escavalier and Mega Steelix.

252 SpA Special Attack EVs lets ("EVs" is plural, so "let" over "lets") Ribombee hit as hard as possible. 252 Speed EVs with a Timid Nature allows Ribombee to outspeed threats like Noivern and Zygarde-10% when unboosted, and even the fastest Choice Scarf users like such as Salazzle after a boost. Fairium Z lets Ribombee break through some naturally bulky Fairy-neutral checks like Gardevoir and Shaymin. Shield Dust prevents secondary effects from attacks like Milotic's Scald that Ribombee make tank while boosting. (I'm unsure what you're saying on this last part here so I'd reword it)

Usage Tips
========

Remove all Priority priority users such as Entei, Zygarde-10%, Golisopod, Medicham, and Mega Glalie before attempting to boost, as they can quickly cut your sweep short if Ribombee is chipped down enough. Try and preserve Ribombee's health in the earlygame early-game so that it has a better chance to survive a hit when it needs to boost. Avoid bringing it in on direct switches, but you can still use this set to revenge kill if necessary. Weakening Ribombee's checks and counters to the point where Twinkle Tackle can KO them will allow you to sweep more easily. Keeping Hazards hazards off the field for Ribombee allows it to revenge kill in the early- and mid-game without removing its ability to sweep in the late-game (Add hyphen).

Team Options
========

Ground-types such as Nidoqueen, Mega Steelix, and Rhyperior can both threaten Steel-types and keep Stealth Rock on the field to increase Ribombee's chance of sweeping effectively. Fighting-types such as Medicham, Virizion, and Bewear can break holes in special tanks like Snorlax, Registeel, and Porygon2, opening up holes for Ribombee to sweep the rest of your opponent's team. Roserade and Gardevoir are interesting options on Hyper Offense teams, as with Sleep Powder and Memento respectively they can give Ribombee chances to setup freely. Mega Blastoise synergizes very well with Ribombee, providing both good coverage and Hazard hazard removal in the same slot. Pursuit trappers like Drapion and Sneasel can remove troublesome checks like Bronzong and Marowak-Alola Alolan Marowak that Ribombee can struggles (Ribombee will almost always struggle versus Bronzong, but I get that you're saying that if Alolan Marowak is weakened, you can KO with a Twinkle Tackle, so I'd either change Bronzong or Alolan Marowak to a different example and either keep or change your wording accordingly) to break through.

Other Options

A Dedicated dedicated Sticky Web Lead lead set with Focus Sash is viable, but Sticky Web offense is too unreliable for this set to warrant much attention. Tailwind can also give wallbreakers a couple non-removable turns to abuse (I would reword this sentence). Choice Specs can be used to try and combine both wallbreaking and revenge killing in one set, but Ribombee likes to switch moves so it can use its coverage. Defog can be used if you desperately need removal and can't fit it anywhere else, but Ribombee is horrible at removing hazards because of its Stealth Rock weakness and inability to adequately threaten most hazard users.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-types**: Fire-types punish Ribombee really heavily for attempting to sweep too early, and can come in on most of its coverage options. Entei and Marowak-Alola Alolan Marowak get chances to fire off powerful attacks, Ninetales can set up Nasty Plot, and Rotom-H can get a chance to remove hazards or spread status.

Walls such as Snorlax, Porygon2, and even Cresselia, (AC) if Ribombee doesn't have Bug Buzz, will all take its hits easily and be free to either attack it or use Toxic and stall it.

**Faster Threats**: While it has an amazing natural speed tier an amazing raw Speed stat, Choice Scarf users can revenge kill any unboosted Ribombee, and priority users will beat it regardless with a little chip damage. Scarfers Choice Scarf users (always spell the full word out) such as Gardevoir, Roserade, (AC) and Salazzle all outspeed and can KO it with their STAB moves. On the priority side, Extreme Speed from Entei and Zygarde-10% or Bullet Punch from Medicham or Pangoro will quickly end a sweep. Even a resisted First Impression from Golisopod will do huge damage.

Great job, but I'd keep in mind a few things: Remember that you almost always want to spell things out completely (for example, Choice Scarfers instead of just Scarfers). Also, I'd brush up on what things to capitalize and what not to capitalize by checking out this thread. It'll really be helpful in the future, as it seems to be your biggest problem. Looking forward to seeing you improve!

[OVERVIEW]

Ribombee can be a passable option as a fast special attacker thanks to it's its high Speed tier and good coverage. It can revenge kill an assortment of offensive threats, (comma) including in the RU metagame such as Choice Band Zygarde-10%, Nasty Plot Salazzle, Noivern, and Virizion, alongside having access to and has Quiver Dance. (per) Boosting allows it to beat Choice Scarf users who normally that would otherwise revenge kill it. Ribombee also has a few appealing support options in Sticky Web, Tailwind, (comma) and Defog, (comma) which that could potentially fill holes in a team. Unfortunately, several large weaknesses prevent Ribombee from being very common in the metagame. While Bug / Fairy isn't a terrible defensive typing, Ribombee's absurd frailty means it can only lets it switch into passive walls and weak resisted hits. Anything remotely strong, even resisted, will likely 2hko 2HKO it. A Stealth Rock weakness makes Ribombee more easily revenge killed by common priority users like Entei and Medicham. (one's banned and the other's uncommon) While fast, it still is outsped by every relevant Choice Scarf user when unboosted, and most of whom them will OHKO it as long as Stealth Rock are is up.
