Hey everyone this if my first post on Smogon, just wanted to put up a team ive been using for a while which has got me up to around 1450 on Showdown. All suggestions are welcome, sorry im not too sure about how to put in sprites, or what the expected format is. Thanks in advance!
Making this team was similar to how i made other teams. First id try and find a multitude of different typed pokemon with a variety of stats, and to make sure that i had a stealth rocker and a hazard remover. Then id mix in and out different pokemon to see which ones work best or better.
Gardevoir-Mega @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Trace
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psyshock
- Hyper Voice
- Wish
- Protect
Gardevoir:
Awesome mega, i loved searching for ralts back in the game, and i usually start my teams with a mega in mind, so she was it. Great special attack which can demolish some teams straight off the bat. Shes a bit of a wallbreaker even with uninvested evs, with psyshock and hyper voice hitting both defenses very hard. I mostly use her as a wallbreaker (eg vs slowbro) a lead to catch someone off guard (i rarely do this) and breaking through subs (eg gliscor and keldeo). Shes really useful for switching in on dragon type attacks, and special attackers. I use wish protect because this team is slightly stall, and i like to keep my mons healthy. Takes fighting attacks aimed at chansey.
Breloom @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Mach Punch
- Bullet Seed
- Spore
- Rock Tomb
Breloom:
My most common lead. Shes my only physical hitter, so shes really important. Usually i try to spore something, or get some damage off. I really love hitting talonflames on the switch with rock tomb, or at least slowing something else down. Theres not much else to explain, its a typical sash techniloom set, made to hit hard and fast.
Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Scald
- Reflect Type
Starmie:
Im not too sure about this one. I only put her in because of her ability to rapid spin away anything, because my friend mentioned that i needed one for breloom sash and other stuff. Its a great counter to stuff like scizor with reflect type, but outside of that it doesnt do anything.
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 248 HP / 188 Def / 72 Spe
Impish Nature
- Protect
- Substitute
- Toxic
- Knock Off
Gliscor:
Chansey and gliscor is like my skarmblissey core. Gliscor takes all physical hits with ease bar ice attacks, and sometimes he singlehandedly wins games with toxic stall. I choose knock off over other moves because i love taking away other mons items, especially recovery, or scarf. Gliscors just a really safe choice for me, eases prediction a lot with double immunities, and i can sub on a forced switch. It takes any fighting attacks aimed at chansey and in return chansey eats up the ice or water attacks aimed at gliscor.
Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Seismic Toss
- Soft-Boiled
- Thunder Wave
- Stealth Rock
Chansey:
Chansey eats up any special attack all day long. Reliable recovery, rock setter, and para to cripple incoming switches. Status absorber, just a really great mon overall. Works well with gliscor.
Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
Magnezone:
Steel killer. Clears the path for gardevoir and its basically a free mon for me, if its like ferrothorn or skarm. Otherwise, its a surprise revenge killer with the scarf, and it kills fairies too which i have a bit of trouble otherwise.
