Sealeo is a lovable little guy, and from what I played of it on ladder, I just loved being able to click ice beam and watch things perish. Encore for making your opponents rage, stab options so powerful they feel illegal, and enough bulk to hang with the best of them. If you opt to switch into it, you risk being smacked by a strong special attack, and the things which actually do that are wish normals and other sealeo, so ultimately you'll still get some chip in on an important target regardless of what you aim this mon's attacks at. You go, Sealeo.

Honestly, it's really refreshing to see these little instances of lower tiers mimicking OU, and Trapinch fits that bill quite well. Its ability to take out select, owning the daylights out of some key offensive threats like Arbok, Magcargo, Omanyte, and to a lesser extent Lickitung and Wigglytuff... oh, it also happens to just DUNK on Swalot. You also typically scare off gastly with shadow ball, and even if you don't have a prime target to smack it can be great to help force a KO on specific pokemon with beefy quakeslide coverage. More notably, Trapinch forces a lot of thinking in the builder, because neglecting Baton Pass on important picks like Minun can and will get you owned before the match even starts. How? Trapinch, that's how. The fact that I could change only the names of Pokemon and say something remotely competent in the context of OU says a lot about how charming this tier can be while maintaining a complex but not-quite-sweaty balance.
