• Thunderbolt gives Rotom-F a more reliable Electric-type STAB move that doesn't force it out and deals more damage to foes like specially defensive variants Articuno and Alolan Sandslash.
• Will-O-Wisp can be used instead to cripple certain switch-ins like Assault Vest Crabominable and Lanturn as well as certain physical attackers like Skuntank.
• Pain Split is another alternative that slightly mitigates Rotom-F's lack of reliable recovery and exploits Pokemon with HP stats, such as Audino and Lanturn.
