[OVERVIEW]

Electric
========

* Rotom-W is the best physically defensive wall available for Electric-type teams, and serves as a great pivot into Ground-type attacks thanks to Levitate.
* It also has access to Will-O-Wisp, which allows it to further check physical attackers.
* Rotom-W's STAB Hydro Pump and its ability Levitate allow it to check opposing Ground-type threats such as Sand Rush Excadrill.
* Its defensive typing is excellent defensive typing, resisting Ice, Fire, and Water, while only being weak to Grass.
* Access to Volt Switch allows Rotom-W to safely pivot and bring in its teammates.
* However, it has a poor HP stat, and with Rotom-W's only recovery being Pain Split, it cannot stay on the field for long.
* Rotom-W also has a lackluster Speed stat without investment, being unable to outpace threats such as Bisharp and Diggersby.

[SET]
name: Physically Defensive (Electric)
move 1: Hydro Pump
move 2: Volt Switch
move 3: Will-O-Wisp
move 4: Pain Split
item: Leftovers
ability: Levitate
nature: Bold
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Hydro Pump is Rotom-W's only STAB Water-type move that allows it to hit Ground-types that would trouble Electric teams such as Landorus.
* Volt Switch allows Rotom-W to capitalize on opposing switches as well as bring in its teammates safely.
* Will-O-Wisp cripples physical threats such as Azumarill.
* Pain Split is semi-reliable recovery that gives Rotom-W more longevity.

Set Details
========

* Leftovers is the chosen item so that Rotom-W can passively recover health.
* Maximum Defense and HP EVs along with a Bold nature are used to make Rotom-W as physically bulky as possible.

Usage Tips
========

* Rotom-W's main function on Electric teams is to check threatening physical attackers such as Azumarill and Mamoswine.
* Thus, don't let it get worn by too many special attacks that it does not resist because that makes Rotom-W unable to check physical attackers that it normally does.
* Be careful against users of Mold Breaker or its variants such as Excadrill and Kyurem-B because they bypass Levitate and deal heavy damage with Earthquake and Earth Power respectively.
* Pain Split will recover more health when used on foes with a high HP stat, such as Chansey and Alomomola. This subsequently forces them to use a recovery move, giving Rotom-W a free turn to use Volt Switch and bring in a check.
* When expecting an opposing Pokemon to switch out, Rotom-W should use Volt Switch to gain momentum.
* However, it could burn the Pokemon that is switching in with Will-O-Wisp as well.
* When Rotom-W is walled by an opposing Pokemon, it should use Volt Switch to switch to a teammate that can deal with the wall better.
* Keep Rotom-W away from Toxic because of its lack of reliable recovery and reliance on remaining healthy to check enemies.

Team Options
========

* Rotom-W fits on all Electric teams because it forms a great VoltTurn core with the majority of Electric-types.
* Zapdos is an excellent partner for Rotom-W due to being able to resist Grass, take special attacks aimed at Rotom-W, and to remove away Stealth Rock for Rotom-W. It also can use Heat Wave to hit Grass-types that would switch into or threaten Rotom-W such as Ferrothorn. In turn, Rotom-W can switch into Ice-type attacks for Zapdos.
* Wallbreakers such as Alolan Raichu, Choice Specs Magnezone, and Xurkitree all appreciate Rotom-W's ability to safely bring them in with Volt Switch.
* With Psychic, Alolan Raichu can heavily damage Mega Venusaur, which hard counters Rotom-W. It also breaks through Excadrill and Kyurem-B with Focus Blast, which force out Rotom-W.
* Magnezone can trap and OHKO Ferrothorn with Hidden Power Fire as well as resisting Grass.
* Xurkitree is a powerful wallbreaker that can hit Dragon-types with Hidden Power Ice and Ground types with Energy Ball. Rotom-W can also safely switch into it with Volt Switch to allow Xurkitree to use Z-Hypnosis and Tail Glow.
* Alolan Golem can set Stealth Rock to chip opposing teams, which is beneficial because of how many switches Rotom-W forces.
* Tapu Koko can outspeed opposing wallbreakers that threaten Rotom-W and KO Dragon-types with Dazzling Gleam.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Electric
--------
* Rotom-W can use a dual-status set with Thunder Wave instead of Pain Split to hit Pokemon such as Gengar and Latios, but this prevents Rotom-W from recovering any health outside of Leftovers.
* Rotom-W can use a spread of 248 HP / 132 Def / 128 Spe with a Bold nature to outspeed neutral-natured base 70 Speed Pokemon such as Bisharp and Breloom. It can also outspeed Adamant Diggersby with a spread of 248 HP / 68 Def / 192 Spe and a Bold nature. However, both spreads take away from Rotom-W's bulk.
* Rotom-W can use a ChestoRest set for a one-time full heal, but using this means that it doesn't gain any passive recovery from Leftovers and it also cannot use Pain Split.

Checks and Counters
===================

Electric
--------
**Grass-types**: Most Grass-types such as Serperior and Mega Venusaur can switch into Rotom-W easily and force it out with Grass-type STAB attacks.
**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types such as Latios and Latias can switch into Rotom-W, but some Dragon-types such as Garchomp and Salamence don't want to get burned by Will-O-Wisp.
**Seismitoad and Gastrodon**: Gastrodon and Seismitoad are immune to both of Rotom-W's STABs because of their Ground typing and their abilities Storm Drain and Water Absorb respectively.
**Wallbreakers**: Although Rotom-W is bulky, it cannot take many hits from strong wallbreakers such as Mega Alakazam and Dragonite.
**Z-Move Users**: Z-Move users such as Continental Crush Landorus-T and Devastating Drake Salamence can easily break through Rotom-W after a Swords Dance or Dragon Dance.
**Special Walls**: Special walls such as Chansey and Zapdos can switch into Rotom-W's attacks, don't care about being burned and wear Rotom-W down with Toxic.

[Overview]
+ Talk some more about its typing. Rotom-W's Water typing grants it resistances to Fire-, Ice-, and even Water-type attacks and only one weakness to Grass-types moves.
+ Add to its physically defensive trait that Rotom-W makes for a great Will-O-Wisp user against physical attackers.
+ Rotom-W has to rely on Hydro Pump, which is its only Water-type move that has a chance on missing its threats.
+ Add that because of its lack of recovery that Rotom-W has to rely on Pain Split to prolong it's longevity.
+ "Rotom-W also has a lackluster Speed stat without investment, which takes away from its much-needed bulk."
- Expand some on this. For example: Rotom-W would be outsped by powerful wallbreakers such as....

[Set Details]
* Maximum Defense and HP EVs along with a Bold nature are used to make Rotom-W as physically bulky as possible
- Reword this line, you're not maximum HP.

[Usage Tips]
* However, don't let it get worn by too many special attacks because that makes Rotom-W unable to check physical attackers that it normally does.
+ Rotom-W shouldn't be switching into special attacks unless it resist it you mean? Other than that, Zapdos should be your main special wall you'd be switching into.
+ Add that if a matchup appears to be unfavorable to Rotom-W, it should utilize Volt Switch to go into a much better counter to the opposing threat.
+ Add how good it is to have entry hazards on the opposing side so Rotom-W can pressure them with Will-O-Wisp and Volt Switch.

[Team Options]
+ Zapdos also utilizes Heat Wave, which is pretty useful in removing Ferrothorn for Rotom-W.
+ Alolan Raichu has utilizes Hidden Power Ice to check Dragon-types and it's Psychic typing can help against Mega Venusaur, which Rotom-W appreciates.
+ Xurkitree is a great sweeper that can break through special walls with Tail Glow. It has decent coverage moves such as Energy Ball to add pressure in checking Ground-types alongside Rotom-W.
+ Magnezone can trap Ferrothorn with Magnet Pull and KO it with Hidden Power Fire. It's a nice switch-in for any incoming Toxic move or Poison attacks in general.
+ Alolan Golem is very helpful in breaking through the likes of Chansey being a physically powerful mon. It has access to Stealth Rock, which allows Rotom-W to continue pressuring teams with Volt Switch.
+ Electric Terrain does not boost Rotom-W's Volt Switch. Rotom-W is not grounded because of Levitate so it's not affected.
- But also talk about how Tapu Koko has access to Dazzling Gleam to check Dragon-types such as Hydreigon.

[Other Options]
+ I would like for Rest + Chesto Berry to be mentioned since I use it on my team over Pain Split but the others can decide on that.
* Rotom-W can invest some EVs into its Speed stat to creep some threats such as Bisharp or Adamant Diggersby, but this makes Rotom-W much more frail.
- Mention specifically how much Speed investment Rotom-W would need to outspeed Adamant Bisharp and Diggersby or at least talk about the EV spread for this.

+ Add Specially Defensive Walls

QC 1/3
implemented, sorry for missing a lot of this stuff

Overview:
- The first line should definitely mention Levitate, giving it an immunity to Electric's only weakness. Putting this alongside its defenses makes it a great pivot.
- Hydro Pump is an amazing Water-type move. Not sure why it's a downside here.

Moves:
- You would just use Hydro Pump on Mamoswine, not Will-O-Wisp.

Set Details:
- This honestly isn't a big deal but it looks weird. Why not just do 252 Defense to have both be numbers?
* Maximum Defense and 248 HP EVs along with a Bold nature are used to make Rotom-W as physically bulky as possible.

Usage Tips:
- What's this:
* When

- When you're mentioning Pain Split vs high HP targets, talk about how that forces them to heal, giving Rotom-W a free turn to Volt Switch into an appropriate check.
- Also, talk about the decision between crippling switch-ins with Will-O-Wisp and pivoting out with Volt Switch.

Team Options:
- Alolan Raichu most importantly uses Focus Blast to take on both Mold Breaker Excadrill and Kyurem-B with the assistance of its high Speed.
- Xurkitree getting free switches to take use Z-Hypnosis and Tail Glow is much more notable than calling it a wallbreaker.
- Why is Alolan Golem's ability to set up Stealth Rock valuable? Rotom-W forces switches easily, so it takes advantage of this. Also, it needs to be an offensive set to beat Chansey:

0 Atk Galvanize Golem-Alola Return vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 204-240 (28.9 - 34%) -- 1.7% chance to 3HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Galvanize Golem-Alola Return vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 325-383 (46.1 - 54.4%) -- 59% chance to 2HKO

- Mention that Rotom-W fits on most teams by forming a great VoltTurn core with the rest of the team.

Other Options:
- Choice Scarf is unviable this gen.

Checks and Counters:
- Wallbreakers in general break through Rotom-W:
252+ Atk Choice Band Teravolt Kyurem-Black Outrage vs. 248 HP / 240+ Def Rotom-Wash: 273-322 (90 - 106.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Choice Band Huge Power Diggersby Return vs. 248 HP / 240+ Def Rotom-Wash: 223-264 (73.5 - 87.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Choice Band Dragonite Outrage vs. 248 HP / 240+ Def Rotom-Wash: 229-270 (75.5 - 89.1%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

- I'd also add Z-moves to be honest:
+1 252 Atk Salamence Devastating Drake (190 BP) vs. 248 HP / 240+ Def Rotom-Wash: 331-390 (109.2 - 128.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+1 252 Atk Garchomp Devastating Drake (190 BP) vs. 248 HP / 240+ Def Rotom-Wash: 322-379 (106.2 - 125%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 Atk Mimikyu Never-Ending Nightmare (140 BP) vs. 248 HP / 240+ Def Rotom-Wash: 246-291 (81.1 - 96%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
+2 252+ Atk Landorus-Therian Continental Crush (180 BP) vs. 248 HP / 240+ Def Rotom-Wash: 323-380 (106.6 - 125.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

You have some extra gaps between lines fsr after Set Details and Other Options. Fix that.

Usage Tips

* Be careful against Mold Breaker users such as Excadrill and Kyurem-B, because they bypass Levitate and deal heavy damage with Earthquake and Earth Power respectively.
- Kyurem-B technically doesn't have Mold Breaker, reword it to something along the lines of 'users of Mold Breaker or its variants such as Excadrill and Kyurem-B . . .'

Team Options

* Alolan-Raichu can check Latios and Latias with Hidden Power Ice, two common Rotom-W switchins. It can also heavily damage Mega Venusaur with Psychic, which hard counters Rotom-W. Raichu also breaks through Excadrill and Kyurem-B with Focus Blast, which force out Rotom-W.
- Alolan Raichu really isn't the best check to Latios and Latias considering both have a chance to outspeed and OHKO while HP Ice barely does 50% to both.
252 SpA Life Orb Raichu-Alola Hidden Power Ice vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Latios: 127-151 (42.4 - 50.5%) -- 1.2% chance to 2HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Raichu-Alola Hidden Power Ice vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Latias: 112-133 (37.2 - 44.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
* Alolan Golem can set Stealth Rocks and to chip opposing teams, which is beneficial because of how many opposing switches Rotom-W forces.
- 'Opposing switches' is kinda weird, just go with 'switches'.

Other Options

* Rotom-W can use a dual-status set with Thunder Wave instead of Pain Split, but prevents Rotom-W from recovering any health outside of Leftovers.
- Mention what threats Thunder Wave helps Rotom-W check.

Checks and Counters

**Z-Move Users**: Z-Move users such as Continental Crush Landorus-T and Supersonic Skystrike Salamence can easily break through Rotom-W after a Swords Dance or Dragon Dance.
252 Atk Salamence Supersonic Skystrike (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Rotom-Wash: 101-119 (33.2 - 39.1%) -- 9.8% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
- I think you mean Devastating Drake Salamence.

Good job, QC 3/3.

Electric
--------
**Grass-types**: Most Grass-types such as Serperior and Mega Venusaur can switch into Rotom-W easily and force it out with Grass-type STAB attacks.
**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types such as Latios and Latias can switch into Rotom-W, but some Dragon-types such as Garchomp and Salamence don't want to get burned by Will-O-Wisp.
**Seismitoad and Gastrodon**: Gastrodon and Seismitoad are immune to both of Rotom-W's STABs because of their Ground- typing and their abilities, (RC) Storm Drain and Water Absorb, respectively.
**Special Walls**: Special walls such as Chansey and Zapdos can switch into Rotom-W's attacks, don't care about being burned, and wear Rotom-W down with a combination of Toxic and STAB attacks.

[OVERVIEW]

Electric
========

* Rotom-W is the best physically defensive wall available for Electric-type teams, and along with Levitate, it also makeserves as Rotom-W a great pivot.
* It also has acces into Ground-type attacks to Will-O-Wisp, which allowhanks it to further check physical attackersLevitate.
* Rotom-W's STAB Hydro Pump and its ability Levitate allow it to check opposing Ground-type threats such as Sand Rush Excadrill.
* It also has an excellentccess to Will-O-Wisp, which allows it to further check physical attackers.
* Its
defensive typing is excellent, resisting Ice, Fire, and Water attacks, while only being weak to Grass.
* Access to Volt Switch allows Rotom-W to safely pivot orand bring in its teammates.
* However, it has a poor HP stat, and with Rotom-W's only recovery being Pain Split, it cannot stay on the field for long.
* Rotom-W also has a lackluster Speed stat without investment, being unable to outpace wallbthreakerts such as Bisharp and Diggersby.

Moves
========

* Hydro Pump is Rotom-W's only STAB Water-type move that allows it to hit Ground-types that would trouble Electric teams, (RC) such as Landorus.
* Volt Switch allows Rotom-W to capitalize on opposing switches as well as bring in its teammates safely.
* Will-O-Wisp cripples physical threats such as Azumarill.
* Pain Split is semi-reliable recovery that gives Rotom-W more longevity.

Set Details
========

* Leftovers is the chosen item so that Rotom-W can passively recover health.
* Maximum Defense and HP EVs along with a Bold nature are used to make Rotom-W as physically bulky as possible.

Usage Tips
========

* Rotom-W's main function on Electric teams is to checking threatening physical attackers such as Azumarill and Mamoswine.
* HoweverThus, don't let it get worn by too many special attacks that it does not resist because that makes Rotom-W unable to check physical attackers that it normally does.
* Be careful against users of Mold Breaker or its variants such as Excadrill and Kyurem-B, (RC) because they bypass Levitate and deal heavy damage with Earthquake and Earth Power respectively.
* Pain Split will recover more health when used on foes with a high HP stat, such as Chansey and Alomomola. This subsequently forces them to use a recovery move, giving Rotom-W a free turn to use Volt Switch and bring in a teammate better equipped tocheck.
* When expecting an opposing Pokemon to switch out, Rotom-W should use Volt Switch to gain momentum.
* However, it could burn the Pokemon that is switching in with Will-O-Wisp as well.
* When Rotom-W is walled by an opposing Pokemon, it should use Volt Switch to switch to to a teammate that can deal with the wall better.
* Keep Rotom-W away from Toxic because of its lack of reliable recovery and reliance on remaining healthy to check opposing pokemonenemies.

Team Options
========

* Rotom-W fits on all Electric teams because it forms a great VoltTurn core with the majority of Electric-types.
* Zapdos is an excellent partner for Rotom-W due to being able to resist Grass, take special attacks aimed at Rotom-W, and Defog awayto remove Stealth Rocks for Rotom-W. It also can use Heat Wave to hit Grass-types that would switch into or threaten Rotom-W, (RC) such as Ferrothorn. In turn, Rotom-W can switch into Ice-type attacks for Zapdos.
* Wallbreakers such as Alolan Raichu, Choice Specs Magnezone, and Xurkitree all appreciate Rotom-W's ability to safely bring them in with Volt Switch.
* With Psychic, Alolan-Raichu (RH) can heavily damage Mega Venusaur with Psychic, which hard counters Rotom-W.
* Alolan Golem can set Stealth Rocks and to chip opposing teams, which is beneficial because of how many switches Rotom-W forces.
* Tapu Koko can outspeed opposing wallbreakers that threaten Rotom-W and KO opposing Dragon-types with Dazzling Gleam.

Other Options
=============

Electric
--------
* Rotom-W can use a dual- status set with Thunder Wave instead of Pain Split to hit Pokemon such as Gengar and Latios instead of Pain Split, but this prevents Rotom-W from recovering any health outside of Leftovers.
However, bothi spreads greatly takes away from Rotom-W's bulk.
* Rotom-W can use a set with ChestoRest and a Chesto Berryset for a one-time full heal, but using this means that it doesn't gain any passive recovery from Leftovers and it also cannot use Pain Split.

Checks and Counters
===================

Electric
--------
**Grass-types**: Most Grass-types such as Serperior and Mega Venusaur can switch into Rotom-W easily and force it out with Grass-type STAB attacks.
