[OVERVIEW]

Rotom is one of the metagame's premier balance Pokemon, possessing decent bulk in addition to a solid dual-typing in Water Electric, only possessing a weakness to Grass. With its most common Tera Type of Electric, Rotom can remove its Grass weakness to have zero weaknesses due to its Levitate ability making it immune to Ground type moves.

Rotom's offensive combination of Water and Electric paired with its Base 105 Special Attack allows Rotom to hit many Popular Pokemon such as Murkrow, Dondozo, Volcarona, and Arcanine for strong super-effective damage. In addition, Rotom possesses a good speed tier which allows it to outpeed many meta threats such as Meowsarada and Gholdengo at -1.

However, Rotom struggles to hit Grass and Dragon types such as Meowscarada, forcing Rotom-W to rely on its teammates to deal with them. In addition, Rotom's only STAB-boosted Water type move is Hydro Pump, which has an unreliable 80% accuracy.

While Rotom-W fits well on many different teams, some teammates that it works well are Garchomp and Amoonguss, as they cover each other's weaknesses and defensive shortcomings. Garchomp is particularly strong as you can utilize the DisQuake combo, where you can freely use Earthquake and Discharge without harming your partner.

[Offensive Support]
Hydro Pump
Thunderbolt/Volt Switch
Will-O-Wisp
Protect
Item: Sitrus Berry, Safety Goggles
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Modest
Tera type: Electric
EVs: 244 HP / 60 Def / 36 SpA / 76 SpD / 92 Spe

Some sets may choose to run Volt Switch over Thunderbolt as Volt Switch is a good pivoting option to more easily position your teammates.

Will-O-Wisp allows Rotom-Wash and the team to better handle physical attackers as they permanently cut their attack by 50%. This allows Rotom-Wash to better handle threats like Garchomp, Meowscarada, Dondozo, and Dragonite.

Tera Electric allows Rotom-Wash to remove its singular Grass weakness, in addiiton to not having any weaknesses. It also allows Rotom-Wash to power up its STAB Thunderbolt or Volt Switch.

A Sitrus Berry allows Rotom-Wash to stick around on the field longer, and Safety Goggles allows Rotom to negate its ignore Amoonguss' Rage Powder and Spore. Tera Grass can be used instead of Tera Electric if Rotom needs to work around Amoonguss' support options.

244 EVs in HP maximizes the amount of healing Rotom gets from the berry while increasing its bulk. 76 Special Defense EVs allows Rotom to live strong special attacks such as Life Orb Draco Meteor from Hydreigon. The leftover defense EVs allow Rotom to be bulkier on the physical side.

Other Options:

Rotom has a plethora of support options including Thunder Wave, Reflect, Light Screen, and Eerie Impulse, all strong supporting options for the team. It can also run Nasty Plot to make itself a threatening attacker on the field.
