Pet Mod Roulettemons [Finished Mod + Now with Random Battles!]

For all of Spinium's amazing Special and Boom Burst, it feels like a weaker Hoopa-U as it can’t go Physical or mixed and it’s way slower and unlike Xukitree who has 1 more SpAtk, it can't boost. I’m not sure it’s broken as it will always take a hit before moving. A good special sponge with a physical fight move might win the day but I’m not sure.

Anyway,

Voltarak, Spinium, Fiemeleon

Oh boy it's been a long time since I've posted here, my apologies. There's a tie between Spinium and Voltarak, and since I didn't vote before, I'm gonna tiebreak and vote for Voltarak. Spinium looks kinda ridiculous to me in all honesty, Boomburst seems spammable enough to use Choice Specs reasonably (especially since its Special Movepool sucks otherwise) and 2HKO all Pokemon in the metagame barring Voltecta, Giranium, and Sp. Def Anteros...and two of those are prone to Magnet Pull support. This is also backed by good bulk and a solid defensive typing.

Anyways, onto the next slate, where most Pokemon here are pretty interesting...

That's about it! After we get our 35th Pokemon, we'll be taking a pause to make this meta playable and test things to see if everything is balanced, and as of right now we have 31 Pokemon. Discussion phase has begun!

Warbat: This thing has all the coverage it could need, plus the superior Poison STAB of Sludge Wave. Iron Barbs is also pretty good. Also, ridiculously powerful. Not my preference, because I can see it being way too strong with Webs.

Dracix:

...Ahem.

DRAGON GROUND WITH GUTS THOUSAND ARROWS, ICICLE CRASH, AND GEAR GRIND. IT’S FASTER THAN GARCHOMP AND ABOUT AS STRONG TOO. AND IT’S BULKIER THAN ZYGARDE-50%.

...In other words, probably broken.

Grophant: Bulky with some really good defensive options. Grass isn’t really the best defensive typing, but with Bulk Up plus Suction Cups, you can’t phase it as it sets up. Utility sets can utilize stuff like Beak Blast and Dragon Tail, and Roost provides recovery. I’m not sure if this would be broken, but I think it probably would be.

Lemius: Very bulky with Solid Rock or Flame Body, but its utility movepool is limited to phasing with Roar, pivoting with Volt Switch, fishing for paralysis with Discharge, pressuring switches with Yawn, and reusing items with Recycle. Still, its bulk makes it very strong.

Mosqung: Great defensive stats, great movepool, terrible defensive typing. Strength Sap is honestly a really great move, but with so many Special Electric types in the meta (and a special Rock type), I think this thing would probably be balanced.

Cookie Butter

formerly the someone
Steelnea: Good, straightforward physical tank. Doesn't offer much on the Abilities department, but has good Attack and good attacking moves. More versatility in its coverage than it'll need.

Terreon: I was going to call this "really good" but the more I look into it, it just seems absurdly strong.

Flamepion: Not feeling this one. Could be a decent wallbreaker I guess...?

Vultena: Finally an Electritar counter, but perhaps an Electritar enabler too due to Electric Surge (+ Healing Wish?). Also quite broken on its own with its wallbreaking power and special coverage. Don't like it.

Antestar: Very strange. I don't know how to feel about it.

Steelnea: A fantastic bulky attacker with the power to run AV sets or offensive utility sets. Metal Burst is going to be one of its best moves, as its high HP, immunity to Toxic, and low speed means it will likely be able to hit something hard with it. Diamond Storm on the AV set can increase its Defense and deals with Fire types that might like to trap it. I don’t think it’s broken though, especially with most things packing Ground or Fire coverage anyway.

Terreon: Nasty Plot was the breaking point for me, looking at this thing. Sure it’s not taking too much physical damage, but with its high speed and a Nasty Plot boost, will you get that damage off in time?

Flamepion: A Trick Room setter with Spirit Shackle, reliable Psychic, Steel, and Fighting coverage, Wish, Final Gambit, and you can’t Knock Off it’s item thanks to Sticky Hold? I think that’s pretty good.

Vultena: We already have an Electric Surge setter, and we already have Electric powerhouses. Stats are very minmaxed, so it’s redundant and broken.

Antestar: The most bizarre, counterintuitive abilities you could see. Toxic Boost on a Steel type, Innards Out on a mon with 18 base HP, and Wimp Out in general. It has solid potential as a mixed mon, with Fairy and Steel STAB, U-Turn, Earth Power, Seed Flare, Bonemerang, Psyshock, and even Sticky Web for some reason. Very much a glass cannon, but not explicitly broken.

Flamepion: My favourite mon purely due to the scarcity of Fire types in the tier. It can set its own Trick Room, has good bulk and leans physical unlike its fire type counterpart. Definitely getting my vote.

Antestar: This Pokemon is such a contrarian meme its stunning. The best part about it? Its a very good meme mon too, being a very nice mixed glass cannon with peculiar but interesting coverage options.

Vultena and Terreon are flat out broken to me. A shame too since both of them form fantastic Electritar counters.

Steelnea just seems very uninteresting and doesnt seem to add anything of use to the tier - another bulky Steel type that has an easily exploitable x4 weakness.

No clue why people are hating on innards our with low HP, if it’s OHKOed from full things with 100 base HP with no investment lose over 50%, it’s a better aftermath. Awesome concept imo

Steelnea: Not much to say here other than it's gonna be a solid physical tank. Its abilities are kinda unimpressive but otherwise, I think it's fine.

Terreon and Antestar: Error 404: Comments not found. Moving on.

Flamepion: Looks like a neat TR abuser. Good bulk? Check! Being able to set Trick Room on its own? Check! Good coverage? Check! Invulnerability to Knock Off? Check! 100% voting for this.

Vultena: Jesus christ. We didn't need this. It's broken and we got like, what, 200 electric-type wallbreakers.

Steelnea: Meh. It looks fine, but pretty uninteresting aside from its typing which doesn't really save it. It'd probably be a decent addition to the tier but not a particularly interesting one.

Terreon: Not a fan of this one honestly, looks like it could be a bit overwhelming. Most of its checks don't resist Poison and just use their bulk to check it so it could probably run Z-Sludge Bomb to help break those, which becomes very easy if it only has a little bit of chip damage to back itself up. I'll pass here.

Flamepion: Looks pretty cool to me. It could make for a pretty fun Stallbreaker-ish Pokemon with STAB Spirit Shackle, Blaze Kick, recovery, and Toxic to trap and slowly whittle down a lot of things, although it itself is prone to Toxic so this set won't be perfect. Also has the option to run other stuff like Stealth Rock, Trick Room if the meta calls for it, or possibly a more offensive set with Close Combat. Looks pretty good, definitely on the stronger end but I don't think it'll be broken.

Vultena: Broken lol, not even Electric resists like taking this thing's Thunderbolt and there's only one Ground-type in the format. That alone would make this Pokemon pretty ridiculous, but it has great coverage and special bulk as well.

Antestar: Super weird Pokemon, but I think I like it. Everyone else has covered everything I would have to say about it; weird but good coverage, Innards Out is actually not that bad for it, Toxic Boost on it is funny. Don't really have anything else to add.

Most of the people who normally post here have already said something so I may open voting tomorrow. My favorites here are definitely Antestar and Flamepion, not sure which of the two I'll put above the other but I'd be happy if either of them won.

Voting has begun! I won't vote unless it'll be to break a tiebreaker (although I have a feeling I might know which one is going to win here...)
