Congratulations to Zizalith for winning Cycle 20! You'll add the set later into Hall of Fame :bloblul: And now, let's hop into another cycle:

Cycle 21: Gardevoir!

Gardevoir quickly become one of the best Pokémon in the tier, being known as the premier Choice Scarf user of the tier or a powerful wallbreaker. Boasting an incredible movepool and a lot of support options, what can we do with it?

Gardevoir @ Choice Scarf / Choice Specs
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Trick
- Memento

Really simple, Memento is stupidly good at giving a chance for your Barbaracle or Calm Mind Entei or whatever over broken setup sweeper you have waiting in the wings. I like pairing it with Trick Choice item to increase the likelihood of you supporting your win con, but Memento Garde can be splashed onto any offensive team regardless of set.

Gardevoir @ Psychium Z
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature / Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Trick
- Psyshock
- Moonblast
- Hidden Power [Fire] / Focus Blast / Protect

Z-Trick Gardevoir
Z-Trick gives the user +2 in speed, so this set aims to clean up weakened teams. Simple STABs in Moonblast and Psyshock over Psychic for Virizion and Ninetales and a flexible last moveslot. HP Fire for Escavalier and Forretress, Focus Blast to hit Registeel, Mega Steelix, and normals harder, or Protect cus lol Golisopod. Modest or Timid works, Timid lets you outspeed Scarf Salazzle.

Z-Psyshock is also there if you feel like it.

Amelia (Gardevoir) @ Psychium Z
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hypnosis
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Moonblast

Perhaps you want to sweep with Gardevoir but you find its speed a bit middling? Use Z-Hypnosis, which gives Gardevoir a speed boost as well as a chance to set up with Calm Mind. Ideally, you would want to use this against a slower Pokemon, such as Mega Ampharos or Bewear. Put it to sleep, then start Calm Minding. Use this once all Steel-type Pokemon are out of the picture.

Offensive Dual Screen Gardevoir

Gardevoir @ Light Clay
Ability: Trace
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Moonblast
- Reflect
- Light Screen

General idea
Here we have a classic set with Screens, really underrated on a pokemon like Gardevoir that is forced out often due to a middling Spe tier. The addition of both Screens alongside Light Clay as item is enough to overwhelm the opponent making our switch-ins easier.

An offensive spread is chosen to pressure even our traditional revenge killers (such as Honchkrov's Sucker Punch and Salazzle).

Double STAB combination is always nice to have in an offensive screen variant.

Gardevoir @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP / 84 Def / 24 SpA / 148 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Psychic
- Will-O-Wisp
- Healing Wish

An optimization over the regular Gardevoir set, allowing it to switch into Pokemon it needs to check on offense more readily while providing the same revenge killing utility. Third move should be optimized on a team by team basis. Spatk investment allows Entei to be 2HKO'd by Psychic after Stealth Rock and for Bewear to be guarantee OHKO'd. Speed allows it to outpace Noivern.

Gardevoir @ Pixie Plate / Darkinium Z / Farium Z
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Psyshock
- Memento
- Taunt

Now that I've revealed this in a tour, i feel like sharing this core that I am really enjoying at the moment on ladder etc. Taunt + Memento Gardevoir is incredible support in this meta currently. The prevalence and effectiveness of the scarf set makes it very very easy to bluff and force out mons such as virizion, salazzle, zygarde, noivern etc. Once the opponent brings in their defensive mon, a taunt + memento combo is the perfect support for any set-up sweeper to get going. Things like registeel and Bronzong are unable toxic while milotic is unable to haze. Of course, defensive mons with supereffective or strong special moves are made ineffective with the memento support so a florges moonblast or gligar eq is rendered useless.

Pixie plate moonblast hits very hard which is cool but it may give away the fact that you are not scarfed. Darkinium allows for a semi healing wish + memento support and twinkle tackle is for silly damage on dark types that think you're locked into psychic stab.

heya, reposting with an even more heat set while I can.

EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Mean Look
- Taunt
- Disable
- Substitute

If you thought Sub + Disable Gard was heat, trapper Gard is gonna blow your tits clean off. Lum lets you be a lot lazier w/ guessing between status/attack move against stuff like Zonger, Lefties can let you do this more than once throughout the match potentially. Mean Look on switch, kill them by making them struggle via Sub/Disable. Substitute is so you don't die to struggle damage, since Gardevoir is kinda a frail ass bih. You can run Moonblast over Mean Look if you're one of those no fun people who doesn't like trappers, but here in RU we love heat and trappers so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

here's a free team with it, have fun.
