Golurk @ Choice Band
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Poltergeist
- Dynamic Punch

With Rotom-C, Golurk's best offensive switch-in, going to UU; and with the influx of Steel-types such as Bronzong, Copperajah, and Steelix; Golurk has surged in usage, taking advantage of the limited number of Pokemon that resist both of its STAB attacks. Moreover, most Pokemon that can switch into one of its STAB moves will fall to the other on an incorrect prediction, such as Drapion and Bronzong. Golurk‘s use of No Guard along with Stone Edge and Dynamic Punch causes bulky foes like Mantine, Umbreon, and Porygon2 to think twice before switching in. Despite Golurk's immense wallbreaking capabilities, its slow Speed and common weaknesses leave it vulnerable to revenge killers, so it appreciates pivots like Dragalge, Porygon2, or Passimian that can switch into such attackers. Dragalge gets a special mention, as it can lure in Steel-types and Galarian Slowbro, pivot out with Flip Turn, and bring Golurk in freely.

With the rise of Golurk's best offensive switch-in counter, Rotom-C going to UU and the influx of Steel-types such as Bronzong, Copperajah, and Steelix [was gonna add 'and Poison-types like Galarian Slowbro' but this is already a long sentence, mention galarbro somewhere if u can tho], Golurk has surged in usage that takes advantage of the limited number of Pokemon resisting either of its STAB attacks. its unique typing to dismantle popular cores in RU like Bronzong + Bewear or Umbreon + Mantine. [I don't think that's true for the CB set, which would have to guess against cores like this.] [Add a sentence about how most Pokemon resisting one STAB attack take a ton from its other STAB; for example, Drapion can take a Poltergeist but falls to EQ, vice versa for Levitate Bronzong]. Golurk's access to No Guard along with Stone Edge and Dynamic Punch can cause defensive foes like Mantine, Quagsire Umbreon, and Porygon2 to think twice before promptly switching in. Despite its immense wallbreaking abilities, its slow Speed and common weaknesses hinders it leaving it vulnerable to revenge killers, so having pivots like Dragalge, Porygon2 or Passimian that can switch into those attacks and provide it ample opportunities to wallbreak are appreciated. Dragalge gets a special mention as it's able to take advantage of the bulky Water- and Grass-types like Milotic, Tangela, and Eldegoss that would otherwise serve as sufficient checks. [Milo gets destroyed, taking up to 70% from Poltergeist and not OHKOing back. Also, I think another, bigger reason for Dragalge being helpful is that it lures Steel-types in and then Flip Turns out to Golurk, bringing it in for free against them - mention that for sure]

With Rotom-C, Golurk's best offensive switch-in, (AC) going to UU; (semi) and with the influx of Steel-types such as Bronzong, Copperajah, and Steelix; Golurk has surged in usage, taking advantage of the limited number of Pokemon resisting either of that resist both of its STAB attacks. Moreover, most Pokemon that try to switch-in predicting can switch into one of its STAB moves, end up falling heavily will fall to the other on an incorrect prediction, such as. Prime examples include Drapion and Bronzong. Golurk's access to use of No Guard along with Stone Edge and Dynamic Punch causes defensive bulky (subjective change) foes like Mantine, Umbreon, and Porygon2 to think twice before switching in. Despite its Golurk's immense wallbreaking capabilities, (AC) its slow Speed and common weaknesses hinder it, leaving leave it vulnerable to revenge killers, (AC) so having it appreciates pivots like Dragalge, Porygon2, (AC) or Passimian that can switch into those attacks such attackers are appreciated. Dragalge gets a special mention, (AC) as it can lure in Steel-types and Galarian Slowbro, pivot out with Flip Turn, (AC) and bring Golurk in freely.
