Chesnaught @ Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Wood Hammer
- Synthesis
- Drain Punch

Chesenaught can tank all virizion hits very well and inflict damage with Drain Punch and recovery itself by Synthesis or Drain Punch. Even with 2+ attack chesnaught can 3HK0 and set up spikes do damage virizion every time it comes in.
252 Atk Virizion Leaf Blade vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 36-42 (9.4 - 11%)
252 Atk Virizion Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 27-32 (7.1 - 8.4%)
252 Atk Virizion Close Combat vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 96-114 (25.3 - 30%) -- 0.2% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Virizion Bloom Doom (175 BP) vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 69-82 (18.2 - 21.6%)
+2 252 Atk Virizion Close Combat vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 192-226 (50.6 - 59.6%)
0 Atk Chesnaught Drain Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Virizion: 112-133 (34.6 - 41.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Comfey @ Choice Specs
Ability: Triage
EVs: 236 HP / 252 SpA / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
- Draining Kiss
- Giga Drain
- Dazzling Gleam
- U-turn

comfey cant really switch into leaf blade from viriz (does like 45 lol) but with specs it has a super high chance to 2hko virizion, recovering most of the damage inflicted along the process with draining kiss. if it comes into close combat it recovers more damage than it takes from leaf blade. and you still live unboosted bloom doom as long as you recover the rocks damage before viriz attacks it. comfey comes with the added bonus of being a great kisser.

gardevoir.gif

Gardevoir @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Trace
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Moonblast
- Trick
- Healing Wish

Standart Scarf Gardevoir set as offensive check.

Can comfortably switch into Stone Edge and Close Combat, takes 2 hit from Leaf Blade and can get a guaranteed kill with psyshock.
Homever it dies to unboosted bloomdoom.

delphox.gif

Delphox @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Psyshock
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Trick / Grass Knot

Strictly in the "check" category. Scarf Delphox can switch into any of Virizion's moves twice, as long as neither is Stone Edge. If no rocks are up, you can even live one Stone Edge:
252 Atk Virizion Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Delphox: 222-262 (76.2 - 90%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Psyshock over Psychic lets you handle Viriz better while retaining the ability to revenge NP Lazzle and DD Flygon and the like
252 SpA Delphox Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Virizion: 314-372 (97.2 - 115.1%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO

Barbaracle @ Rockium Z
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Shell Smash
- Taunt / Aerial Ace
- Liquidation

resists both STABS and uses moltres as set-up bait to get a shell smash up and proceed to do heavy damage to opposing teams.

Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Atk / 244 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Rock Blast
- Ice Punch

Rhyperior comes in any move moltres uses and kill it with rock blast. It can also set up rocks, that way moltres only can come in twice.

252 SpA Moltres Fire Blast vs. 248 HP / 244 SpD Rhyperior: 99-117 (22.8 - 27%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Moltres Hurricane vs. 248 HP / 244 SpD Rhyperior: 99-117 (22.8 - 27%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Moltres Flamethrower vs. 248 HP / 244 SpD Rhyperior: 81-96 (18.7 - 22.1%) -- possible 6HKO after Leftovers recovery
16+ Atk Rhyperior Rock Blast (3 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Moltres: 540-648 (168.2 - 201.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
16+ Atk burned Rhyperior Rock Blast (3 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Moltres: 270-324 (84.1 - 100.9%) -- approx. 6.3% chance to OHKO

Slowking @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 176 SpA / 80 SpD
Modest Nature
- Scald
- Future Sight
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Tail

Slowking is pretty good against Moltres, due to being capable of taking hits with its bulk and assault vest, can also recover all of its hp back with regenerator after any attack used by it. Scald also 2 HKO'es Moltres.

252 SpA Moltres Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 80 SpD Assault Vest Slowking: 50-59 (12.6 - 14.9%) -- possible 7HKO
252 SpA Moltres Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 80 SpD Assault Vest Slowking: 100-118 (25.3 - 29.9%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
0- Atk Moltres U-turn vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Slowking: 110-130 (27.9 - 32.9%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
252 SpA Moltres Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 80 SpD Assault Vest Slowking: 41-48 (10.4 - 12.1%) -- possible 9HKO

176+ SpA Slowking Scald vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Moltres: 254-302 (79.1 - 94%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Diancie @ Leftovers
Calm Nature
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 192 SpA / 60 SpD
- Stealth Rock
- Moonblast
- Power Gem
- Earth Power

At least Diancie can set rocks for when Moltres inevitably U-Turns out and has to come back in.
252 SpA Moltres Fire Blast vs. 248 HP / 60+ SpD Diancie: 54-63 (17.8 - 20.7%) -- possible 7HKO after Leftovers recovery

Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 92 HP / 252 SpA / 164 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Dragon Pulse
- Focus Blast

A pretty good hard check to every moltres set available. Resists both stabs and the option of hidden power grass and can kill offensive moltres sets even with Volt Switch. Only Specs Moltres can pose a threat to it but thats not everyone cup of tea.

Really great mon, and cute too!

Comfey @ Pixie Plate
Ability: Triage
EVs: 252 HP / 216 SpA / 20 SpD / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
- Calm Mind
- Synthesis
- Taunt
- Draining Kiss

due to a lack of boosting item on moltres, comfey is able to just barely set up on fire blast/hurricane (assuming no crits obviously), and comfortably setting up on flamethrower. also if a single hurricane/fire blast misses you win much faster.

turn 1
252 SpA Moltres Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 20 SpD Comfey: 159-187 (51.9 - 61.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Moltres Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 20 SpD Comfey: 130-154 (42.4 - 50.3%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO

turn 2
252 SpA Moltres Fire Blast vs. +1 252 HP / 20 SpD Comfey: 106-126 (34.6 - 41.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Moltres Flamethrower vs. +1 252 HP / 20 SpD Comfey: 87-103 (28.4 - 33.6%) -- 0.3% chance to 3HKO

you can then spam synthesis until you're able to get up another cm.

at +2, comfey recovers roughly the same than it takes from flamethrower.
252 SpA Moltres Fire Blast vs. +2 252 HP / 20 SpD Comfey: 79-94 (25.8 - 30.7%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
252 SpA Moltres Flamethrower vs. +2 252 HP / 20 SpD Comfey: 66-78 (21.5 - 25.4%) -- 0.1% chance to 4HKO
+2 216+ SpA Pixie Plate Triage Comfey Draining Kiss vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Moltres: 87-102 (27.1 - 31.7%) -- guaranteed 4HKO (21.3 - 25% recovered)

once you're at +3, comfey recovers more with draining kiss than it takes from fire blast/hurricane:

252 SpA Moltres Fire Blast vs. +3 252 HP / 20 SpD Comfey: 64-76 (20.9 - 24.8%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
252 SpA Moltres Flamethrower vs. +3 252 HP / 20 SpD Comfey: 52-63 (16.9 - 20.5%) -- possible 5HKO
+3 216+ SpA Pixie Plate Triage Comfey Draining Kiss vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Moltres: 108-128 (33.6 - 39.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO (26.4 - 31.3% recovered)

beating moltres does take a toll on the synthesis' pp, though, so be careful about that. and while ampharos is certainly a very cute mon, comfey unquestionably beats it in that regard.

noivern.png

Noivern @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 44 HP / 252 SpA / 212 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hurricane
- Flamethrower
- Taunt
- Roost

Noivern is able to effortlessly take advantage of Registeel's passivity after preventing toxic and blocking protect, allowing it to easily chip away at Registeel. While Seismic toss potentially pose some threat to other stallbreakers, Noivern's access to Roost render's Seismic Toss' damage output useless. Since Protect is invalidated after taunt, Noivern does not have to worry about PP stalling or additional leftovers recovery.

Toxicroak @ Life Orb
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Gunk Shot
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch

Croak uses Regi as setup fodder, heals off any Seismic Toss damage with Drain Punch, and is immune to Toxic. Also bodies the common Regi / Glig / Milo cores.

Teachable (Doublade) (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 248 HP / 180 Atk / 80 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Sneak
- Sacred Sword
- Iron Head / Pursuit

takes nothing and setups for days

+2 180+ Atk Doublade Sacred Sword vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Registeel: 254-300 (69.7 - 82.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Bewear @ Choice Band
Ability: Fluffy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Return
- Superpower
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake

Bewear can simply come in and OHKO Registeel. Even by using earthquake, bewear only needs 2 turns to KO.

252+ Atk Choice Band Bewear Superpower vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Registeel: 440-518 (120.8 - 142.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Registeel Seismic Toss vs. 4 HP Bewear: 100-100 (26.1 - 26.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Bewear Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Registeel: 246-290 (67.5 - 79.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

- Taunt

252+ SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoqueen Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Registeel: 205-244 (56.3 - 67%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

I guess Seismic Toss chip can eventually become a problem (it's a 4HKO), but hey, that's life. At least Nido sinergizes well with Umbreon?

Mismagius @ Ghostium Z
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
- Taunt

Pretty straightforward answer to the registeel, only thing it should be careful with is toxic upon switching. Taunt blocks Regi's utility and renders it useless and will force a switchin so it works p good.

mandibuzz.gif

Mandibuzz @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 76 Def / 184 Spe
Impish Nature
- Taunt
- Toxic
- Roost
- Knock Off

mandibuzz can taunt registeel, forcing it to use seismic toss and taking rocky helmet chip, while it knocks off its leftovers. by doing this, it can slowly wear registeel down.

salazzle.gif

Salazzle @ Poisonium Z
Ability: Oblivious
EVs: 8 HP / 248 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Fire Blast
- Sludge Wave
- Hidden Power Ice

lizard queen can just setup on registeel and sweep the rest of their team. seismic toss can stack up a bit, but salazzle will almost always force regi out.

248 SpA Salazzle Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Registeel: 174-206 (47.8 - 56.5%) -- 35.2% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 248 SpA Salazzle Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Registeel: 348-410 (95.6 - 112.6%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO after Leftovers recovery

comfey.gif

Comfey @ Leftovers / Pixie Plate
Ability: Triage
EVs: 236 HP / 252 SpA / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
- Draining Kiss
- Substitute
- Leech Seed
- Protect / Calm Mind

subseed comfey is able to beat registeel 1v1 because of the constant leech + lefties recovery. pixie plate + cm is an option on this set which can beat regi too:
+6 252+ SpA Pixie Plate Triage Comfey Draining Kiss vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Registeel: 85-101 (23.3 - 27.7%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery (by the time ur at +6 regi will be significantly chipped by leech seed so u can beat it)
this strategy works much faster if the opposing regi has been knocked or weakened already. stuff like swellow and tyrantrum also benefit from this set because it lures in steel types. comfey is broken

Gigalith.png

Gigalith @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge / Rock Blast
- Earthquake
- Toxic

Best counter to Salazzle by far. You resist both of its STAB types and take basically zero from Hidden Power Ice while you OHKO with either your Rock-type move or Earthquake.

Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 HP / 32 Atk / 224 SpD
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Ice Punch

Standard Stealth Rock rhyperior, takes nothing from Salazzle's attacks due solid rock, even at +2, and forces it out, or KO it if it stays in with earthquake .
