Hello everyone! Here will be posted all kind of decisions taken about RUWC VI.​
 
First of all, with all the bunch of new rules about eligibility, here is a sheet repertoring all players who can play for which country:

On this sheet, you can see what players can be picked for each country; all eligibilities have been checked with Smogon account IP (huge shoutout to ironwater for his awesome help) following WCoP rules, which means if one of the eligibility you wrote on your signup is not on this sheet, it has NOT been accepted.
If you think there's an error, please send me a private message (preferably on discord).

For now, 10 teams are locked: Brazil, Canada, China, France, Portugal, Spain, US Midwest, US Northeast, US South, US West.
About continental teams, we are still waiting for the last days of signups, though Europe and LA are 99% confirmed, we have to wait for some other countries about Asia and Oceania.

About these locked teams (and eventually continental ones, if you are absolutly sure your country isn't making a team), I'm asking people interested in captaincy to send me a private message (preferably on discord) to show me your interest. All captains will be officialised for the signups closure, but I can give my agreement before that, so people can start making roster earlier.

Based on signups amount of each country/region, we have decided the 16 teams that will compete for the RU World Champions title this year:

US Northeast

US West

The previously linked sheet has been updated with only these teams, so you can see for which one(s) you can play.

Signups closure is coming soon, but before that we are gonna make small changes about the previously given teams list.
Due to a lack of signups for Team India and growth in Oceanian signups, Team India and Team RoW will be replaced by Team Asia and Team Oceania.
(team list above has been edited)

Signups sheet posted up there has been updated in consequence.

AS A REMINDER:
-> SIGNUPS ARE CLOSING IN LESS THAN 13 HOURS AND A HALF FROM NOW (deadline: Friday August 9th 11PM GMT-6)
-> AFTER SIGNUPS CLOSURE, CAPTAINS WILL BE ABLE TO POST ROSTERS.

These announced managers can be changed if someone else is interested and both parties (tentative manager and new manager) agree to change.
Roster submissions deadline is extended by one week, being now on Sunday August 18th 11PM GMT-6.
Round 1 is obviously postponed by one week too, starting on Monday August 19th.

Though the roster submission deadline has been extended, the players signups one is not as it was already closed.
Therefore, all signups posted after that deadline have been deleted. The player pool is locked, which you can find on the sheet I linked above in this thread.

Moreover, signups thread has been locked. When captains want to post their line-up, please send me (or a RU mod) a private message so we will open it for your post.

End of this 2024 RUWC Round 1, with only 2 games not played:
- Aurist has been given the activity win vs lighthouses.
- SEROO vs mncmt is a deadgame.

Here we have the final standings and matchups for playoffs:

1. US South vs. 8. TBD
2. France vs 7. China
3. US Northeast vs 6. United Kingdom
4. Europe vs. 5. US Midwest

We are having a huge tie with 4 teams for only one spot, bewteen Canada, US West, Latin America and Portugal; the way to break it is currently being discussed between the TD team, I will comeback to you as soon as I get more information.
 
After discussions with TD team (especially thanks to ken for the awesome help, since the beginning of the tour tho), we have decided the format of this unprecedented 4-team-for-1-spot tie: we will have a 2 weeks long "Last Spot Playoffs"!!

With seeding based on Points, and then head-to-head games, here we have our pairings:

8. Canada vs. 11. Latin America
9. US West vs. 10. Portugal

The two winning teams will face off next week, and the final winner of this will qualify for the RUWC quarterfinals and play against US South!!
