Salazzle @ Poisonium Z
Ability: Corrosion
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Fire Blast
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Salazzle's great offensive presence and access to Nasty Plot make it a premier setup sweeper that can threaten a variety of play styles. Its solid Speed tier and unique typing make Salazzle a nuisance to many teams, as most offensive teams are required to use priority or a notably fast Pokemon to keep Salazzle in check, and its set of resistances and immunity to Toxic allow it to prey on common Pokemon such as Registeel, Florges, Roserade, and Choice-locked Gardevoir. The use of Nasty Plot and Poisonium Z also make Salazzle incredibly difficult to check defensively, as even defensive behemoths like Snorlax, Milotic, and Diancie can struggle to take a boosted Acid Downpour once worn down. However, Salazzle's overall poor bulk and susceptibility to Stealth Rock and priority limit its time on the field, so teammates such as Donphan and Flygon can provide support through Rapid Spin and U-turn, respectively, and are satisfactory answers to Pokemon such as Gigalith.
