move 1: Stomping Tantrum / Earthquake
move 2: Rock Slide
move 3: Swords Dance / Dragon Claw
move 4: Protect
item: Life Orb / Lum Berry / Safety Goggles
ability: Rough Skin
nature: Jolly
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

* Due to Garchomp's excellent typing, Attack, and Speed, it has proven to be a threatening setup sweeper in VGC 2021. Its Ground typing gives it a crucial Electric immunity, allowing it to stand up to the mighty Regieleki and potentially set up with Swords Dance in its face.

* Stomping Tantrum is a reliable Ground-type STAB move for Garchomp which doesn't hit its teammate, unlike Earthquake. However, you can still go with Earthquake instead, which has the benefit of hitting both foes. On the other hand, it is also noteworthy that when Grassy Terrain is active, Earthquake's damage will be halved, while Stomping Tantrum's stays the same. Another noteworthy point is the fact that Earthquake and Stomping Tantrum both have the same Base Power when Garchomp is Dynamaxed.

* Rock Slide is a crucial coverage move for Garchomp, as it allows it to hit Pokemon such as Zapdos and Galarian Moltres that are immune to its Ground-type move of choice.

* Swords Dance allows Garchomp to boost its Attack and sweep through teams. Swords Dance is especially good to counter Intimidate, which is often used to suppress Garchomp's attacking presence. Dragon Claw is an option that to hit Dragon-types such as Kingdra and Dragapult while also providing a useful Attack reduction with Max Wyrmwind.

* Life Orb is useful for increasing Garchomps already massive damage output; however, Lum Berry can be used to prevent burn and sleep from crippling Garchomp. Alternatively, Safety Goggles can be used to completely shut down Venusaur and Amoonguss attempting to sleep Garchomp with Sleep Powder and Spore, respectively.

* Due to Garchomps excellent typing, Attack, and Speed, it has proven to be a threatening setup sweeper in today's Metagame. Its Ground-typing (AH) gives it a crucial Electric immunity in Electric, allowing it to stand up to the mighty Regieleki and potentially setup a Swords Dance in its face.

* Stomping Tantrum is a reliable Ground-type STAB move for Garchomp. However, you can also go with Earthquake instead, which has the benefit of hitting both opponents but also hits Garchomp's teammates. It is noteworthy that when Garchomp is paired with Ground-type immune Pokemon such as Togekiss and Rotom-H, Earthquake has no drawbacks. (Grassy Terrain. I don't know if I bother including this point, obviously Earthquake doesn't hit Ground-immune mons. The important point to note is the power is dropped in Grassy Terrain, and that they're the same Max BP.)

* Rock Slide is a crucial coverage move for Garchomp, as it allows it to hit Pokemon such as Zapdos and Galarian Moltres that are immune to its Ground-type moves.

* Swords Dance allows Garchomp to boost its aAttack to high levels and sweep through teams. Swords Dance is especially good to counter Intimidate cycling, which is often used to suppress Garchomps attacking presence.

* Life Orb is useful for increasing Garchomps already massive damage output, however, Lum Berry can be used to prevent Bburn and Ssleep from crippling Garchomp. Alternatively, Safety Goggles can be used to completely shut down Venusaur and Amoonguss attempting to Ssleep Garchomp with Sleep Powder and Spore, respectively.

, meaning no one move has a benefit over the other in this situation
Cut this from the Ground point.

However, Garchomp can also utilize Dragon Claw to hit Dragon-types such as Kingdra and Dragapult, while also providing a useful Attack reduction with Max Wymyrwind.

Spell Wyrmwind right. And I feel like rewording to be "Dragon Claw is another option Garchomp can utilize to hit...", drop the however. Then you're all good

* Due to Garchomp's (AA) excellent typing, Attack, and Speed, it has proven to be a threatening setup sweeper in today's Metagame VGC 2021. ("today's metagame" would work if we had upload dates in analyses ig, but we don't so that kind of line doesn't bode well for future-proofing) Its Ground-typing gives it a crucial Electric immunity, allowing it to stand up to the mighty Regieleki and potentially set up (spacing) a Swords Dance in its face.

* Stomping Tantrum is a reliable Ground-type STAB move for Garchomp. (This is very dex info-y. Consider adding what it OHKOes, 2HKOes, or something to contextualize it into the metagame you're talking about; this also helps the reader gauge how strong Garchomp is.) However, you can also go with Earthquake instead, which has the benefit of hitting both opponents but also hits hitting (another option is adding a comma to "opponents" and an "it" before "also") Garchomp's teammates. But On the other hand, (flow) it is also noteworthy that when Grassy Terrain is active, (AC, flow comma) Earthquake will deal half the damage it would usually do, while Stomping Tantrum would stay stays (this isn't a hypothetical sentence) the same. Another noteworthy point is the fact that Earthquake and Stomping Tantrum both have the same Base Power when Garchomp decides to Dynamax in this situation is Dynamaxed. (Garchomp doesn't decide when it dynamaxes, the player does.)

* Rock Slide is a crucial coverage move for Garchomp, as it allows it to hit Pokemon such as Zapdos and Galarian Moltres that are immune to its Ground-type moves of choice. (This is really bloody pedantic, but you only use one Ground-type move in the set, so this seems like it would make more sense?)

* Swords Dance allows Garchomp to boost its Attack to high levels (fluff) and sweep through teams. Swords Dance is especially good to counter Intimidate cycling (as far as I know GP doesn't like this sort of thing; besides, the point gets across without the added word), which is often used to suppress Garchomps attacking presence. Dragon Claw is an option that Garchomp can utilize to hit Dragon-types such as Kingdra and Dragapult, (RC) while also providing a useful Attack reduction with Max Wyrmwind.

* Life Orb is useful for increasing Garchomp's (AA) already massive damage output; (ASC, RC, far more appropriate) however, Lum Berry can be used to prevent stop ("prevent" isn't often used in this kind of sentence, it doesn't work well with "from", kind of a double-negative iirc?) burn and sleep from crippling Garchomp. Alternatively, Safety Goggles can be used to completely shut down Venusaur and Amoonguss attempting to sleep Garchomp with Sleep Powder and Spore, respectively.

("today's metagame" would work if we had upload dates in analyses ig, but we don't so that kind of line doesn't bode well for future-proofing) (agreed) Its Ground typing(RH) gives it a crucial Electric immunity, allowing it to stand up to the mighty Regieleki and potentially set up (spacing) a with (remember that "set up" is not a transitive verb) Swords Dance in its face.

* Stomping Tantrum is a reliable Ground-type STAB move for Garchomp. (This is very dex info-y. Consider adding what it OHKOes, 2HKOes, or something to contextualize it into the metagame you're talking about; this also helps the reader gauge how strong Garchomp is.) (yea, you can also simply choose to explain why it's more reliable than EQ) However, you can also go with Earthquake instead, which has the benefit of hitting both opponents but also hits hitting (another option is adding a comma to "opponents" and an "it" before "also") foes as well as (much simpler & concise; remember that "opponent" always refers to the opposing player, while "foe" is used to refer to the opposing Pokemon on the field) Garchomp's teammates. But On the other hand, (flow) it is also noteworthy that when Grassy Terrain is active, (AC, flow comma) (not sure why "flow" is added as a comment, stick with aliases when adding / removing punctuation, otherwise the author can be confused) Earthquake's damage will deal half the damage it would usually do be halved, while Stomping Tantrum's would stay stays (this isn't a hypothetical sentence) the same. Another noteworthy point is the fact that Earthquake and Stomping Tantrum both have the same Base Power when Garchomp decides to Dynamax in this situation is Dynamaxed. * Life Orb is useful for increasing Garchomp's (AA) already massive damage output; (ASC, RC, far more appropriate) (correct! But make sure you don't leave too many notes, even when changing punctuation marks) however, Lum Berry can be used to prevent stop ("prevent" isn't often used in this kind of sentence, it doesn't work well with "from", kind of a double-negative iirc?) (prevent was fine fwiw) burn and sleep from crippling Garchomp. Alternatively, Safety Goggles can be used to completely shut down Venusaur and Amoonguss attempting to sleep Garchomp with Sleep Powder and Spore, respectively.
