School Year Starts Anew! (2024)

Base Facility
: Battle Tree

Format changes: Starting from default Battle Tree rules, this Event has the following changes:
  • The Event is Level 2
  • The battles are 2v2 Double Battles.
  • Switching is Off.
  • Two players will challenge the Event as a team.
    • Each player will bring one Pokemon.
    • Event rewards are per player, not per team.
  • This Event has only one step per round.
  • This Event will use snake posting order, as described in section 2.3b of the Handbook. In the first round:
    1. Team Wild Pokémon will send out slots 1 and 2 first.
    2. One player will send and equip.
    3. The other player will send, equip, and order.
    4. Team Wild Pokémon will order with both Pokemon.
    5. The first-send player will order.
  • This Tree run only involves two (2) RP segments and two (2) battles
    • Each player posts an RP contribution for their own Pokemon. The players may decide who contributes first.
  • The Scenario is pre-selected: First Day At School
  • The Events must come from the following list:
Player Rewards
Player Progress: Missing percent HP of the referee's Pokemon (from both battles) / 400%
  • Victory Reward, for first-time victorious players:

Violet the Salazzle :salazzle:

Background: Definition of Tsundere, Violet is a mischievous Salazzle, engaging in physical trickery with those who get close to it. In fact, it only plays these pranks on those who it considers a friend, and is otherwise cold and distant to others. Once Violet forms a bond, it gets paradoxical in its trickery - if it would trip you, it would then feel bad that you fell and come to your side to make sure you didn't get too hurt. And once you're up and okay, it would cease its tender attitude and go back to looking for an opportunity to pull one over on you again. But oh, don't let yourself be pranked by anyone else! If Violet sees someone messing with its friends, it flares up and intervenes right away, mercilessly! Makes you wanna ask the question "Who hurt you?"
Merit: Always on the lookout in the immediate surroundings, serving as a wonderful scout.
Demerit: Can have misunderstood intentions, leading to (literal) damaged relationships. Hurt pokemon hurt pokemon.

Background:
Colossoil (then Dorsoil) was born in a sandbox, & from a young age, he was clear that he was a bit of a "digger"!! He spent most of his childhood burrowing underground tunnels & hiding from his friends!! As he grew older, Colossoil soon began to use his love of digging for good (according to him), to get out of doing chores!!
Merit: Will dig his way out of any problem (literally)!!
Demerit: Has a tendency to tunnel vision (get it?)!!


It was the first day of the school year and Hyjack and Ayush had already got into a fight. Maths and history had been fine. But in battle class a couple of loud mouths spent the whole lesson whispering about how they spent the last holiday battling, and how they would wipe the floor with all the kiddies just starting out.
Outraged Hyjack and Ayush challenged them to a duel to protect the honor of their class. The only problem? The teacher was not thrilled with this whispered negotiation. All four of you are held back to clean the arena during lunch break which puts a bit of a dampner on the duel.

If you want to have your battle, you will have to finish the clean up fast. The arena needs to be swept, target dummies put back in storage and one corner is covered in water from a surf related accident in class. How will you fix the arena?

Hyjack groans as he picks up a broom. He hates cleaning, especially when he has to clean a spae he has nothing to do with! Yeah he's a student, and yeah its good to respect the environment he frequents... but forget all that! Begrudgingly, Hyjack begins to push broom to floor, avoiding the spot filled with water. He knuckles down and actually tries to clean! Until...

One of the kids that got them into this mess shoved him - intentionally or not, no one knows - and Hyjack slipped on the water and fell to the floor! "Oops!" the kid says, hand going over their mouth, "You fell! Maybe its a sign you should start mopping instead of doing a half-baked sweeping job!"

At the end of this sentence, Hyjack's Pokeball opened on its own, and Violet the Salazzle popped out! It seems to have overheard and understood the situation. While the trainer is shocked from the sudden appearance, Violet dashes forward and trips the kid with its tail! The loudmouth tumbles into the dust Hyjack had yet to sweep, and Violet dashes after it. Hyjack remains silent as he gets up, swiping the water off of himself. Violet, taking its trainer's silence as enouragement, proceed to Beat Up the loudmouth, who's rolling across the dusty arena with each strike Salazzle throws its way!
 
As Violet relentlessly pummeled the loudmouth, Hyjack's gaze shifted to the kid's cringing friend!! A sly grin spread across Hyjack's face, signaling to Ayush!!

Ayush chuckled, understanding the plan, & commanded his Colossoil to emerge!! His gaping mouth was ready to strike!!

Colossoil used Swallow, engulfing the friend in one swift motion!! The kid's terrified screams were muffled as he disappeared into Colossoil's belly!!

"Your friend doesn't come out until you clean this all up!!"

The loudmouth, still reeling from Violet's Beat Up, stumbled to his feet!! Panic set in as he realized his friend's predicament!! He frantically grabbed the mop, eyes darting toward Colossoil's imposing form!!

Colossoil shifted uncomfortably, his digestive system beginning to stir!! The friend's muffled cries grew louder, adding urgency to his cleaning frenzy!!

Time is running out!!

The loudmouth starts sweeping while Ayush and Hyjack joke together about the situation. But while they lost attention their opponent gained resolve. By the time they see the glow of a pokeball opening a vileplume is covering the arena in spores!

While colossoil sleeps his friend manages to lift up colossoil's mouth with the help of a Reunculous that kept him safe from digestion using various barriers.

Well. It doesn't look like the arena will end up clean, but the battle is still on schedule.
