Scizor @ Buginium Z
Ability: Technician
EVs: 244 HP / 16 Atk / 148 Def / 96 SpD / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
- Roost

By virtue of its typing and decent bulk, Scizor is an excellent pivot and setup sweeper that can take on common threats such as Latias, Celebi, and Dragon Dance Mega Altaria while generating momentum for its team or weakening the opposition. Between Swords Dance and Savage Spin-Out, Scizor can break through some of its checks such as Amoonguss and Alomomola after chip damage. This gives it potential to clean late-game with Technician-boosted Bullet Punch. Scizor fits best on bulky offense teams with pivots such as Mega Manectric, Rotom-H, and Choice Scarf Hydreigon that form a VoltTurn core with it and help wear down the opposing team. Wallbreakers such as Terrakion and Primarina appreciate Scizor bringing them in safely with U-turn; they also take advantage of the Fire-types that it lures in. Finally, Pokemon such as Mega Aerodactyl and Tentacruel can switch into Fire-types that take advantage of Scizor such as Moltres and Infernape respectively.

I’m a bit hesitant of mentioning that you can freely pivot / set up on Latias / Celebi in the first sentence. At +1, Latias is almost always OHKOing you after SR damage with Elec Z & HP Fire is common on Zor weak teams. Celebi is a bit more manageable if you only switch into SR once, but at +2 Psychium Z is doing 74-87. Not really sure how to fix this bit (either through rephrasing or different examples), but atm it sounds like Scizor can pivot into, set up on, and generate momentum vs these two mons, which isn’t always true with the above calcs. Might be nitpicky so I’ll let someone else voice their input on this.

Change Crawdaunt to another example. Crawdaunt isn’t super common atm & hard to fit on the types of BO that you would see this set on. Terrakion would be a better example that fits everything you mentioned in that sentence.

Is the last sentence trying to list common partners for Scizor or what is it trying to accomplish? Sure these are seen with Scizor but Latias usually wants a Z move nowadays, doesn’t appreciate U-turn from Ape —> Pursuit, & only Aero can safely switch into Moltres out of these 3. I’d say either make it Aero/Tenta into Molt/Ape respectively or make this more general (i.e could categorize Cobal as Fighting-types & maybe fit Ape too & then keep Latias).

Wait until someone comments over my first comment & then QC 1/1, good stuff
