All administrative decisions pertaining to the fourth edition of the Smogon Champions League will go here, with relevant precedents from previous tournaments linked below. As always, the general tournament rules and guidelines are in effect for SCL as well.

The auction has been scheduled for Saturday, August 31st at 2 PM GMT -4. Player signups will close 48 hours before the start of the auction.

SCL IV Week One will start on September 9th.

CTC has been banned from Smogon for reasons unrelated to SCL. He will not be allowed to participate further in SCL IV.

The Showdown Shoguns must substitute in a player for CTC's match within the next 24 hours. They will be given 3k in sellback credits to use at the midseason auction.
 
re: October Tier Shifts

October tier shifts were released yesterday after smogtours had already been updated for the week. Tier shifts will not be legal for Week 4 of SCL IV, so games should be played in their proper tiers (for example, NU games should be played in [Gen 9] NU instead of a higher tier).

The above users have been banned from Smogon for reasons unrelated to SCL. They will not be allowed to participate further in SCL IV.

The Circuit Breakers, Power Plant Dynamos, Showdown Shoguns, Studio Gible, and Orange Islanders must substitute in players for their banned players within the next 24 hours.

The midseason credits allocation is as follows:
  • Circuit Breakers: 6k
  • Power Plant Dynamos: 6k
  • Showdown Shoguns: 3k
  • Studio Gible: 3k
  • Orange Islanders: 3k
These credits are to be used towards replacements using the midseason auction thread, which will be unlocked on Saturday, October 12th at 7 AM GMT -4 (roughly 12 hours from now), after which all standard rules regarding midseason auctions will apply.

As per precedent, clean is allowed to choose one of his players to act as his co-manager for the remainder of the tournament while still being able to play in the tournament. pdt will be assuming co-manager duties for the Orange Islanders.

Hiko has successfully appealed his indefinite ban down to a ICBB. As such, he will have the privilege of further participating in this prestigious tournament, and will remain a member of the Circuit Breakers.

The Circuit Breakers will receive 3k instead of 6k in midseason auction credits.

After the Orange Islanders were notified that ishtar was ready and waiting, MichaelderBeste2 did not respond to ishtar's challenge, nor did the Orange Islanders provide a substitute within 30 minutes.

ishtar is granted the activity win.

Punny was present at the scheduled time and Skarpherim did not show up, nor did the Platoon provide a substitute within 30 minutes of being given notice. Punny is granted the activity win.

Neither a win nor activity was claimed. These are deadgames.
