Scraggy @ Eviolite
Ability: Shed Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- High Jump Kick / Drain Punch
- Knock Off
- Taunt
Scraggy is dancing its way through the NFE metagame. High Jump Kick safely OHKOes Thwackey and Frogadier, as well as Monferno after Stealth Rock. Drain Punch is an alternative for longevity against bulkier foes like Quaxwell trying to finish it off; it also safely trades against Wartortle and Gabite and removes the fear of Ghost-types switching in on High Jump Kick. Knock Off helps Scraggy beat foes like Girafarig, Dusclops, Ivysaur, and Fletchinder. Taunt blocks status moves from the likes of Tinkatuff and Quaxwell or entry hazards from the likes of Charjabug and Koffing. Shed Skin is chosen over Moxie so Scraggy can shrug off burns from Fletchinder's Flame Body, paralysis from switching into Tinkatuff, and poison from the myriad of Toxic Spikes users. Scraggy performs best on hyper offensive teams that carry other wallbreakers like Fraxure and Piloswine to start breaking down opposing teams for Scraggy to clean later. Entry hazard setters help Scraggy reach KO ranges easier on foes like Monferno, Raboot, and Ivysaur, so the likes of Glimmet, Frogadier, and Krokorok are appreciated. Teams with dual screens from Morgrem and Sticky Web from Charjabug accentuate Scraggy's sweeping abilities.
