Seasonal Ladder [July: Fireworks Frenzy]

This is absolutely ridiculous, it makes no sense, is heavily luck based, AND I LOVE IT! I actually got a pretty good team today. My team consisted of Shiftry, Floatzel, Bonsley, (Who were my leads) Drapion, Slurpuff, and Gigalith. Having only one NFE is nice, and i also can get lots of priority on my leads, so that's cool too. I've had some pretty ridiculous battles, but the one I thought was the best was this one: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/seasonalstrikesback-182608803 Scarf Drapion new meta.

Good news: today I got a Groudon. Bad news: I also got a Magikarp.
It appears Groudon completely randomly decides whether to be Primal or not each battle.

I was going to post this seasonal earlier, but it's been a month now since I added Strikes Back, we've had some downtime and that's made development go slower and made it coincide with me moving out to another place. Anyhow, the new seasonal is here and it's going to stay more or less up to the fifth of January.

[Seasonal] Sleigh Showdown
It's that time of the year again, Christmas incoming! But this time you're going to play as a grinch trainer who wants to ruin it for Showdownville. You and your rival will race on a sleigh pulled by your active Pokémon from the top of the Showdown mountain, fighting to get first to the village while you avoid obstacles in the mountains.

There are a wide variety of Pokémon that are able to pull the sleigh and, for once, there is no permanent hail on this metagame. Each turn you advance X meters towards Showdownville, X is decided by the current speed of your active Pokémon, and the first that gets to Showdownville will win no matter how many Pokémon remain unfainted. This means speed is highly beneficial as fast Pokémon can get there within 20 turns, however, faster Pokémon have also more chance to have accidents.

Accidents will make you not advance and have a negative impact on your Pokémon. You can hit a tree and your active Pokémon will get damaged by 10% of his max HP (but it will get unstatused), you may hit a giant snowball and get frozen, you may fall into a traphole and get a speed debuff, and you may hit a wall strongly and get your mon paralysed. Fear not for freeze, though, as in this meta freeze is thawed upon being hit too.

Since it's friggin' cold, Ice-attacks will improve the slippery of the terrain, making you faster, whereas Fire-type attacks will melt the snow and slow down the opponent. There's a 25% chance of Water-type attacks to become Ice-type attacks as well.

Last but not least, you can use the Present move to get a random present from your grinch sack thrown with random effects:
-An Excadreydle (Excadrill) will slow down your opponent.
-A Chandelnukkiyah (Chandelure) will burn your opponent.
-A Glalie will explode harshly dealing an impressive 300 normal type base power damage.
-A Starmie will deal strong water damage.
-An Aboxmas tree (Abomasnow) will deal strong ice damage.
-A Chansey egg will heal your Pokémon by 75% of its health.
-Cryogonal snowflakes will deal harsh ice damage.
-Pikachu-powered christmas lights will deal impressive 250 electric type base power damage.
-Shaymin-Sky mistletoe will deal strong grass damage.

Pikachu is useful? Best seasonal so far imo.

In all seriousness this definitely looks like an interesting deviation from how normal Pokemon works. It still has the same basic concept of winning while also applying a different twist to the ways you can win. It's definitely something I'm going to be trying at least once, that's for sure.

That replay has some things that may or may not be bugs, i'm just posting here to make sure.
I'll list them over here:
1.I had venusaur, blastoise and kangaskhan all with mega stones.
2.Kangaskhan survived a hit with -7% hp and had a negative value for hp too.
edit- actually i just watched the replay and it shows 3% in that one ._. not sure what happened here
3.Pokemon can attack the turn they get frozen by the snowball,i guess this is intentional?
edit-
4.In the second replay, 1st turn, bellossom gets poisoned then instantly paralyzed. again, not sure if this is a glitch or not just putting it here anyway.
