SFII Turbo HD Remix

I'm surprised there (apparently) isn't a thread for this already.

Anyway, I finally picked this up after a long period of "planning to," mostly because online competition for Blazblue is dropping off in favor of Tekken 6. In any case, ST is sort of supposed to be the "quintessential fighting game," and learning how to play it is probably super valuable in terms of learning all sorts of fundamentals that I'd probably be lacking otherwise. Plus, its netcode is supposed to be really really good.

I've only fiddled around in Training Mode a bit so far, but if anyone wants to play someone totally new, my PSN is Thiediev, just PM me or something.

otherwise, I dunno, discuss or something. I hope there are actually people here who play this game >_>

The netcode is amazing for this game. I love the fact that Honda's Jab Headbutt goes through projectiles. I really wish I could play more, but both of my roommates prefer SF4 to HDR.

Wow, I literally can't beat anyone at this game. I've played, I dunno, 50 to 100 matches, and won maybe a half dozen of them, at most. I feel autistic, but it's fun as hell regardless.

And you're right, the netcode is godly. I have no excuses >_>

The fundamentals required in this game is ridiculous imho. Spacing and footsie game really needs to up there. IMHO its much harder than 3s, IV, or guilty gear.

I've played it a little bit as Ryu mostly. I lose 99%, but I really do like the addition of the fake fireball!

Well the game itself is all fundamentals because it is so primitive. No technicallity involved yeah!

jump in rh, cr. mk, fake fire ball -> throw is the coolest shit ever!

hey OP, if you need a training partner you can add me on PSN: ill_as_duck. I play SFIV, Tekken 6, HDR, and well that's pretty much it but I have every fighting game on PSN.

I'm terrible at every game except street fighter iv, though. I'm only kind of bad at that one!!
