Hax Arena

Arena: Hax Arena
Field Type:
Neutral
Complexity: Moderate
Format: All

Restrictions: No Weather

Long ago was a beautiful city where people and Pokemon lived happily and trained together to be the very best... However due to a failed experiment of a Criminal team organization, the city got abandoned and no one lives there currently... There is permanent fog throughout the city and since the fog cannot be lifted by any other weather, the city has lost its luster... There was a ASB Arena for tournaments hosted in this city... Nowadays trainers who are strongest of all come in this arena to battle other strong trainers... There are still other side-effects of the failed experiment in the city due to which any Pokemon coming closer to the city gets high critical hit ratio and higher chance for its moves secondary effects...

Description:

1) Permanent Fog which cannot be lifted...

2) Abilities Air Lock, Cloud Nine, Delta Stream, Desolate Land, Drizzle, Drought, Primordial Sea, Sand Stream and Snow Warning have no effects...

4) Moves Hail, Rain Dance, Sandstorm and Sunny Day have no effects...

3) All Pokemon gain abilities Serene Grace and Super Luck which cannot be removed/switched/changed by any means... E.g. Gastro Acid will not stop Pokemon from using these 2 abilities, Skill Swap cannot be used on these 2 abilities, etc.

...And I didn't pay nearly enough attention, because I should have noticed Snugglow had Storm Drain. Or maybe I should have just paid more attention to what the CAP thread was doing in general.

Shadow Ball~Feint Attack~Shadow Ball

IF Snugglow uses protective/evasive action, THEN use Camouflage that action, and Shadow Ball any subsequent actions.
IF Snugglow uses a damaging electric-type combo, THEN use Camouflage that action, and Shadow Ball any subsequent actions.

Even if the arena is not meant to favor any one type in particular, why are you punishing players who find a legitimate way to gain an advantage?

Parabolic Charge - Thunderbolt - Parabolic Charge

"Lol I am not punishing anyone or so... This arena has its advantages and disadvantages... You can try various ways to use them and get rid of them... For e.g. Using Sniper along with Super Luck... Or using No Guard to evade fog etc. However Poison type Pokemon gets rid of them without doing anything... This is too one-typed and I will remove it only to balance the arena..."

I suppose this time I'll use Ivysaur with Eviolite.

And I don't really think VirajVora is punishing anyone. He never intended for the arena to be poison-typed, so when it ended up significantly favoring poison-types, he planned on adjusting it. Probably by making it so that poison-types lose accuracy from fog despite their STAB benefits. I remember the time I made an arena that didn't work the way I wanted it to, and I stopped hosting battles in it so that I could figure out a way to possibly fix it.

Hmm, I probably passed judgment a bit hastily on that. My apologies. I do feel, however, that bringing a Pokemon that utilizes a specific typing to make the best use of an arena is no different from bringing a Pokemon with an Ability that has a similar effect, which you mentioned as something that I am assuming you expected or encouraged, and while I can detect the logic behind your changes, I personally—although most likely myopically, which might stem from my lack of recent arena creations—see no real reason as to one being eliminated while the other remains in full power.

Anyway—I apologize for ranting for so long, though—, shouldn't Snugglow receive STAB on its Electric-type attacks over the past two rounds?

Switching to Charmeleon @ Scope Lens; Counterswitch is impossible due to lack of conscious Pokemon.

Flamethrower - Fire Fang - Flamethrower

IF Ivysaur uses Attract, use Dig that action instead and push back.

...Let's hope for the hax for the arena to cause some of those attacks to miss... And since sludge Bomb will have a 60% chance to poison in this arena, let's hope for that as well.
