[OVERVIEW]
Shuckle stands out as a Sticky Web user with its ability to set Stealth Rock and natural bulk. Sturdy alongside Shuckle's natural bulk allows it to get both entry hazards with Custap Berry. Shuckle also has options such as Final Gambit and Toxic to run in its other two moveslots to avoid being too passive. However, Shuckle is unable to contribute much outside of getting up entry hazards, unlike Ribombee and Araquanid, which have actual offensive presence. Shuckle also competes with Slurpuff, which can wear down Aegislash with Flamethrower and run Endeavor. While Shuckle can annoy Pokemon with Encore, it cannot prevent Defog from Pokemon such as Rotom-H and Salamence due to its passive nature with the exception of Custap Berry + Final Gambit. Not running Mental Herb also leaves Shuckle vulnerable to Taunt.

name: Lead
move 1: Sticky Web
move 2: Stealth Rock
move 3: Encore
move 4: Final Gambit / Knock Off / Toxic
item: Custap Berry / Mental Herb
ability: Bold
nature: Sturdy
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
[SET COMMENTS]
Custap Berry in combination with Sturdy grants Shuckle a turn to get a second entry hazard up, gain momentum with Final Gambit and prevent Defog, or cripple the foe with Encore, Knock Off, or Toxic. Encore prevents Pokemon like Gyarados and Kommo-o from immediately setting up on Shuckle. Knock Off gives Shuckle some utility and removes Heavy-Duty Boots or Choice Scarf from Pokemon such as Rotom-H and Zarude. Toxic cripples Pokemon like Keldeo and Rotom-H. Although, if Shuckle doesn't take enough damage for Custap Berry to activate, then it can be 2HKOed with only one entry hazard up. Mental Herb prevents Shuckle from being affected by Taunt. Red Card is an alternative option to prevent foes from setting up on Shuckle, but this can backfire by drawing a Defogger in. Physical bulk investment gives Shuckle more staying power against Pokemon like Krookodile.
Shuckle should only be used on hyper offense teams in order to make the most of its ability to set both Sticky Web and Stealth Rock and be played aggressively to avoid entry hazard removal. Some strong wallbreakers that can take advantage of Sticky Web are Mamoswine, Diggersby, and Kommo-o. Mamoswine is able to check opposing Kommo-o, Diggersby beats Jirachi, and Kommo-o can finish Lycanroc-D without a Speed boost. They can also pressure entry hazard removers such as Rotom-H, defensive Salamence, and Tentacruel. Thundurus-T is able to patch up its lackluster Speed tier and wallbreak easier under Sticky Web, outpacing Choice Scarf users like Krookodile, while also serving as an Electric-type immunity. Aegislash is another strong wallbreaker that's able to capitalize on Sticky Web and check Mamoswine and Lycanroc-D. Aegislash and Azumarill are great setup sweepers on Sticky Web teams, as they have priority to clean with should Sticky Web be removed. Under Sticky Web, they are able to deal with Jirachi and offensive Buzzwole, respectively.

Other Options
=============
Infestation lets Shuckle trap other passive Pokemon like Amoonguss and get up both entry hazards before switching into a setup sweeper. Infestation generally works best with Encore, as this combination allows for easier setup.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Taunt and Encore Users**: Krookodile and Mew can use Taunt to prevent Shuckle from getting up entry hazards if it is not running Mental Herb. Alolan Ninetales can stop Shuckle from setting up both Stealth Rock and Sticky Web with Encore.
**Hatterene**: Magic Bounce prevents Shuckle from getting up entry hazards. Hatterene is also not bothered much by Knock Offand is free to set up with Calm Mind on Shuckle.
**Entry Hazard Removers**: Pokemon like Volcanion, Rotom-W, and Tentacruel can easily switch into Shuckle and remove its entry hazards with Defog or Rapid Spin. Tentacruel is also immune to Toxic,(AC) and Rotom-W can use Volt Switch to gain momentum.
