Monotype Shuckle (Rock) [QC 3/3] [GP 2/2]

[OVERVIEW]

Rock
========

Shuckle is an incredible asset to Rock teams due to its access to a helpful utility in Sticky Web, bolstering Terrakion and Mega Diancie's effectiveness against faster teams. Its Bug typing grants it neutralities to Grass-, Ground-, and Fighting-type attacks, allowing it to easily fit onto any Rock team. This, in tandem with its incredible bulk, allows it to set up entry hazards reliably and switch into Grass- and Fighting-types like Breloom and Infernape. Sturdy allows Shuckle to take a hit from wallbreakers like Stakataka and Keldeo, allowing it to set up Sticky Web against them. Access to Knock Off allows it to remove Eviolite from Chansey and Porygon2, as well as Choice Scarf from Pokemon like Heracross and Landorus-T. This allows Terrakion, Mega Diancie, and Nihilego to deal with these threats with greater ease. With Encore, Shuckle is capable of disrupting setup sweepers like Mega Scizor, Terrakion, and Mega Gallade. Encore also helps against passive Pokemon like Mantine and Toxapex, since locking them into status moves can allow an offensive threat to switch in safely. Locking enemies into an attack also ensures that they cannot recover any health. However, Shuckle is held back by its non-existent offensive presence, leaving it susceptible to Pokemon with Taunt such as Gliscor, Mew, and Heatran after its Mental Herb has been consumed and by Magic Bounce users like Mega Diancie and Mega Sableye, which can prevent Shuckle from setting up entry hazards. Shuckle's typing leaves it vulnerable to Stealth Rock, which can severely limit its ability to switch in. This, when combined with lack of reliable sustainability, results in Shuckle being worn down very quickly.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Sticky Web reduces the foe's Speed stat by one stage upon them switching in, which is advantageous for teammates such as Terrakion and Nihilego. Stealth Rock wears the foe down each time they switch in, which is especially helpful in matchups such as Bug and Steel, breaking Sturdy on Pokemon such as Forretress and Skarmory. Encore allows Shuckle to disrupt setup sweepers like Mega Scizor, Terrakion, and Mega Gallade as well as bulky Pokemon like Toxapex and Hippowdon. Knock Off is used to remove Chansey and Porygon2's Eviolites as well as Choice Scarf from Greninja and Keldeo.

Set Details
========

Maximum investment in HP and Defense with an Impish nature makes Shuckle as physically bulky as possible while minimizing Stealth Rock damage. Mental Herb allows Shuckle to bypass Taunt from Pokemon such as Cobalion and Deoxys-S for a single turn. Sturdy ensures that Shuckle always survives a hit from full health, allowing it to set up Sticky Web against wallbreakers like Keldeo and Tyranitar.

Usage Tips
========

In most matchups, it is important that Shuckle be led with immediately in order to set up Stealth Rock and Sticky Web, allowing offensive threats like Mega Diancie and Terrakion to sweep more effectively. Predicting when the foe will use a status move allows you to shut it down with Encore and switch an offensive threat in safely. Encore can also be useful for locking offensive Pokemon into a certain move. Examples include locking Mew into Psychic to safely allow Tyranitar to switch in and locking Latios into Draco Meteor so that Mega Diancie can safely come in. Due to Shuckle's Stealth Rock weakness and lack of recovery, it is also a good idea to switch in as the foe sets up Stealth Rock to avoid taking unnecessary damage. If Shuckle's Mental Herb is still intact, feel free to set up Stealth Rock or Sticky Web immediately against Taunt users like Cobalion, Heatran, and Gliscor. If the Mental Herb has already been used, it is a good idea to predict when your foe will Taunt and proceed to use Knock Off to remove their item. However, against Taunt users like Heatran and Cobalion, it is better to switch out on a predicted Taunt because Shuckle cannot severely damage them and they are more easily taken out by Terrakion or Mega Diancie. In matchups like Ground, Steel, and Psychic, it is best to prioritize setting up Sticky Web immediately as a means of outspeeding important threats like Excadrill, Mega Scizor, and Mega Gallade. However, in matchups where Sticky Web isn't as helpful, such as Flying and Poison, it is better to set up Stealth Rock first. Many entry hazard removers like Mantine and Armaldo will capitalize on how passive Shuckle is, so try predicting when they will come in and double switch into an offensive threat like Tyranitar or Mega Diancie. Avoid poison as much as possible, since it will wear down Shuckle very fast and leave it unable to take hits and set up entry hazards.

Team Options
========

Mega Diancie can bounce back entry hazards such as Stealth Rock and Toxic Spikes, both of which can wear down Shuckle rather quickly. In return, Shuckle's Sticky Web can allow Mega Diancie to outspeed Choice Scarf Pokemon like Terrakion and Heracross, making it a prime asset in the Fighting matchup. Tyranitar can set up sand for Shuckle with Sand Stream, allowing Shuckle to take more special hits. Tyranitar can also beat common Defoggers like Zapdos, Mantine, and Latios, which helps Shuckle keep up its hazards. In return, Sticky Web allows Tyranitar to outspeed and KO Pokemon like Nidoking, Diggersby, and Mew; the hazard also allows Choice Scarf Terrakion to outspeed Excadrill in sand as well as Choice Scarf users like Greninja and Gengar. Terrakion can also beat Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Heatran, which threaten Shuckle. Sticky Web can also give it the option to run Choice Band to function as an effective wallbreaker. Nihilego can beat Pokemon with Taunt such as Gliscor as well as physical walls like Skarmory and Mega Slowbro. It also benefits from Shuckle's Sticky Web to outspeed and remove Pokemon like Keldeo and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu. Omastar is a powerful setup sweeper that can beat Ground-types like Landorus-T and Garchomp after a Shell Smash, both of which can severely threaten Shuckle by setting up and breaking through it with a Z-Move. Sticky Web allows Omastar to outspeed Choice Scarf users like Keldeo after a Shell Smash. Rhyperior and Alolan Golem are both able to beat Mega Scizor, a huge threat to Shuckle. Rhyperior can also blanket check other threats to Shuckle such as Terrakion and Excadrill, and Alolan Golem can trap Steel-types like Skarmory and Ferrothorn, both of which very easily wear down Shuckle. Cradily offers a Water immunity for Shuckle thanks to Storm Drain. In return, Shuckle can switch into Fighting-type attacks from Breloom and Infernape for Cradily. Shuckle providing Stealth Rock can also grant Cradily a free moveslot, and Cradily can do the same for Shuckle.

Infestation can be paired with Encore as a means of trapping and wearing down certain Pokemon, as well as granting a safe switch into an offensive threat. However, Knock Off is more valuable, as it grants the ability to remove Choice Scarf and Eviolite. Toxic is an option for wearing down walls such as Hippowdon, Zapdos, and Mantine. However, this would come at the cost of disrupting setup sweepers with Encore. A specially defensive spread can be used to survive hits from threatening special attackers like Landorus and Nidoking. However, a physically defensive spread is more effective for switching into common physical attackers like Landorus-T and Heracross.

Checks and Counters
===================

Rock
--------
**Water-types**: Water-types like Keldeo, Mega Swampert, Gyarados, and Manaphy can threaten to KO Shuckle with their STAB moves. Gyarados and Manaphy also do not fear Encore because of their Z-Moves.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types like Excadrill, Mega Scizor, and Magnezone can KO Shuckle with their STAB moves. Mega Scizor will not mind the Knock Off, but it will have to be careful about using Swords Dance, since Shuckle may Encore it.

**Rock-types**: Rock-types like Mega Diancie, Terrakion, and Tyranitar can threaten to KO Shuckle with their STAB moves. Mega Diancie in particular can additionally bounce back any entry hazards that Shuckle tries to set up.

**Stallbreakers**: After Shuckle's Mental Herb has been used, its non-existent offensive presence makes it vulnerable to stallbreakers such as Gliscor, Mew, and Heatran. However, Gliscor will risk getting its Toxic Orb removed from Knock Off.

**Residual Damage**: Due to having no reliable sustainability and being susceptible to Stealth Rock, Shuckle gets worn down extremely quickly. Status conditions like poison also add to this, since they can rack up damage against Shuckle over time.

**Magic Bounce**: Magic Bounce Pokemon like Mega Sableye and Mega Diancie are unaffected by any of Shuckle's utility moves and can bounce back its entry hazards. They also take little to no damage from Knock Off.

* Access to Knock Off allows it to remove items from Pokemon such as Chansey and Porygon2, as well as Choice Scarf Pokemon like Heracross and Landorus-Therian. you need to expand on this what does this mean it gives it extra utility meaning it isn't just a hazard setter
* With Encore, Shuckle is capable of disrupting setup sweepers like Mega Scizor, Terrakion, and Mega Gallade. same as above what does this mean because typically shuckle would be set up fodder
* Its part Bug-typing grants it neutralities to Grass-, Ground-, and Fighting-type attacks. You need to expand on this idea what does this mean for Rock teams does it easily fit it or not because of this
* This in tandem with its incredible bulk allows it to switch into Grass- and Fighting-types like Breloom and Infernape. You need to mention its bulk allows it to reliable set up hazards
* However, Shuckle is held back by its horrendous offensive presence, leaving it susceptible to Pokemon with Taunt such as Gliscor, Mew, and Heatran.
* Its typing leaves it vulnerable to Stealth Rock, which can severely limit the amount of times it can switch in.
* This in tandem with having no reliable sustain results in Shuckle being very easily worn down. what does it get worn down be more specific this and line above could easily be merged

* Sticky Web reduces the opponent’s Speed stat by 1 stage each time they switch in, which is very helpful for teammates such as Terrakion and Nihilego.
* Stealth Rock wears the opponent down each time they switch in, which is especially helpful in matchups such as Bug and Steel. how is it helpful and what Pokemon does it wear down exactly expand on your ideas here
* Encore allows Shuckle to disrupt setup sweepers like Mega Scizor, Terrakion, and Magearna. Magearna is banned
* Knock Off is used to remove Chansey and Porygon2's Eviolites, as well as from Choice Scarf Pokemon like Landorus-Therian and Heracross.
This seems like it was CPed from overview

* Maximum investment in Defense with an Impish nature is used to make Shuckle as physically bulky as possible.
* 248 EVs in HP are used to minimize Stealth Rock damage.
* The Mental Herb allows it to bypass Pokemon with Taunt such as Cobalion and Deoxys-Speed for a single turn, as well as Pokemon with Encore such as Alolan Ninetales and opposing Shuckle. Alolan Ninetales doesn't really run Encore that often not really the best example or don't mention Encore if you have to dig for good examples
* Sturdy is the ability used to ensure that Shuckle always survives a hit from full health. expand more on this what does it mean for its job of setting up hazards

Usage Tips
========

* In matchups like Fighting, Psychic, and Bug, it’s important that Shuckle is led with immediately in order to set up Stealth Rock and Sticky Web. Why expand more on this idea
* Try predicting when the opponent sets up Stealth Rock in order to lock them into the move with Encore. this line doesn't really have substance
* It’s also a good idea to switch in as the opponent sets up Stealth Rock to avoid taking unnecessary damage. Why explain is it because of lack of reliable recovery
* If Shuckle’s Mental Herb is still intact, feel free to set up Stealth Rock or Sticky Web immediately.
* Setting up Sticky Web vs SR line with an example when setting SR should be a priority and when Sticky Web would be a priority
* If the Mental Herb has already been used, it’s a good idea to predict when your opponent will Taunt and proceed to use Knock Off to remove their item. wouldn't switching sometimes be an option depending on the Taunt user and explain why
* Many hazard removers will capitalize on how passive Shuckle is, so try predicting when hazard removers like Mantine and Armaldo will come in and double switch into an offensive threat like Tyranitar or Mega Diancie.
* Avoid poison as much as possible, since it will wear down Shuckle very fast. how does it hinder Shuckle's ability to set up hazards you need to explain

* Nihilego can beat Pokemon with Taunt such as Gliscor, as well as physical walls like Skarmory and Mega Slowbro. It also benefits from Shuckle’s Sticky Web by outspeeding and removing threats like Keldeo and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu.
* Omastar is a powerful setup sweeper that can beat Ground-types like Landorus and Garchomp after a Shell Smash. how does this help shuckle?

**Rock-types**: Rock-types like Terrakion and Tyranitar resist Knock Off and can threaten to KO Shuckle with their STAB moves. resisting Knock Off shouldn't matter since its only for utility purposes of getting rid of items

**Stallbreakers**: After Shuckle’s Mental Herb has been used up, its non-existent offensive presence makes it vulnerable to stallbreakers such as Gliscor, Mew, and Heatran. However, Gliscor will have to risk getting its Toxic Orb removed from Knock Off.

Expand on Poison you mentioned how it is a pain for Shuckle while burn isn't as bad Poison needs to be highlighted
In general you have the right ideas you just have to expand on them

* Access to Knock Off allows it to remove items from Pokemon such as Chansey and Porygon2, allowing Terrakion to break through them easier, as well as Choice Scarf Pokemon like Heracross and Landorus-Therian, which allows Mega Diancie and Nihilego to KO these respective threats.
* With Encore, Shuckle is capable of disrupting setup sweepers like Mega Scizor, Terrakion, and Mega Gallade, mitigating its passivity. Mention Encore's utility against defensive pokemon as well; Encoring a wall into a utility move can provide a teammate a setup opportunity, or Encoring it into an attack can keep it from recovering health
* Its part Bug-typing grants it neutralities to Grass-, Ground-, and Fighting-type attacks, allowing it to easily fit onto any Rock team.
* This in tandem with its incredible bulk allows it to set up entry hazards reliably, as well as switch into Grass- and Fighting-types like Breloom and Infernape. Move this and the above bullet up, right below the first bullet. It's bulk / typing is what allows it to perform any utility whatsoever, so should be mentioned early
* However, Shuckle is held back by its horrendous offensive presence, leaving it susceptible to Pokemon with Taunt such as Gliscor, Mew, and Heatran. I'd say Shuckle has no offensive presence "outside of knock off". Likewise, the second line should include "once Mental Herb has been consumed"
* Its typing leaves it vulnerable to Stealth Rock, which can severely limit the amount of times it can switch in. This, when combined with Shuckle's lack of reliable sustain, results in it being worn down very quickly.

Usage Tips
========

* In matchups like Fighting, Psychic, and Bug, it’s important that Shuckle is led with immediately in order to set up Stealth Rock and Sticky Web. This will allow offensive threats like Mega Diancie and Terrakion to sweep more effectively. Why these matchups specifically? Is Stealth Rock particularly important in the Psychic and Fighting matchups? You have a similar bullet (bullet #5) in this section that talks about matchups where Sticky Web is crucial that goes into more detail. This seems like a general usage tip about leading and setting up hazards, so I'd cut the matchups and talk about Webs vs. Fighting/Bug in other bullets
* Try predicting when the opponent will use a non-attacking move in order to lock them into the move with Encore and allow an offensive threat to switch in safely. Attacking moves can also be Encored and be exploited (lock Mew into Psychic for Tyranitar, etc). This could be it's own bullet.
* Due to Shuckle's Stealth Rock weakness and lack of recovery, it’s also a good idea to switch in as the opponent sets up Stealth Rock to avoid taking unnecessary damage.
* If Shuckle’s Mental Herb is still intact, feel free to set up Stealth Rock or Sticky Web immediately. This line could use a bit more context: set up hazards immediately against leads?
* In matchups like Ground, Steel, and Psychic, it's best to prioritize Sticky Web immediately as a means of outspeeding important threats like Excadrill, Mega Scizor, and Mega Gallade. However, in matchups where Sticky Web isn't as helpful, such as Flying and Poison, it's better to set up Stealth Rock first.
* If the Mental Herb has already been used, it’s a good idea to predict when your opponent will Taunt and proceed to use Knock Off to remove their item. However, against Taunt users like Heatran and Cobalion, it's better to switch out on a predicted Taunt because Shuckle can't severely damage them, and they're more susceptible to being taken out by Terrakion or Mega Diancie.
* Many entry hazard removers will capitalize on how passive Shuckle is, so try predicting when hazard removers like Mantine and Armaldo will come in and double switch into an offensive threat like Tyranitar or Mega Diancie.
* Avoid poison as much as possible, since it will wear down Shuckle very fast and leave it unable to take hits and set up entry hazards.

In return, Shuckle's Sticky Web can allow Mega Diancie to outspeed Choice Scarf Pokemon like Terrakion and Heracross. This is where I would talk about how crucial Sticky Webs are in the Fighting matchup
* Tyranitar can set up sand for Shuckle with Sand Stream, allowing Shuckle to take more special hits. Tyranitar can also beat common Defoggers like Zapdos, Mantine, and Latios, which helps Shuckle keep up its hazards. Choice Band Tyranitar is also a potent Sticky Web abuser
* Terrakion appreciates Shuckle’s Sticky Web to allow it to outspeed Excadrill in sand, as well as Choice Scarf users like Greninja and Gengar. It can also beat Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Heatran for Shuckle. Sticky Web can also give it the option to run Choice Band to function as an effective wallbreaker. Clarify "outspeed Excadrill in sand with Choice Scarf"
* Omastar is a powerful setup sweeper that can beat Ground-types like Dugtrio and Garchomp after a Shell Smash, both of which can severely threaten Shuckle by either trapping it or breaking through it. Dugtrio is a poor example, since it checks Omastar if Ground succeeds in removing Stealth Rock. I'd also mention some threats Omastar can outspeed with webs up, such as Choice Scarf Keldeo
* Rhyperior and Alolan Golem are both able to beat Mega Scizor for Shuckle. Rhyperior can also blanket check other threats to Shuckle such as Terrakion and Excadrill, and Alolan Golem can trap Steel-types like Skarmory and Ferrothorn, which very easily wear down Shuckle.
* Cradily offers a Water-immunity for Shuckle thanks to Storm Drain. In return, Shuckle can switch into Fighting-type attacks from Breloom and Infernape for Cradily. Shuckle having Stealth Rock can also grant it a free moveslot, and Cradily can do the same for Shuckle.

Shuckle is an incredible asset to Rock teams due to having access to helpful utility in Sticky Web, bolstering Terrakion and Mega Diancie's effectiveness against faster teams. Its part Bug-typing grants it neutralities to Grass-, Ground-, and Fighting-type attacks, allowing it to easily fit onto any Rock team. This, in tandem with its incredible bulk, allows it to set up entry hazards reliably, as well as and switch into Grass- and Fighting-types like Breloom and Infernape. With its ability Sturdy, allows Shuckle can always rely on living at least one hit from powerful to take a hit from wallbreakers like Stakataka and Keldeo. Access to Knock Off allows it to remove items from Pokemon such as Eviolite from (You mentioned Choice Scarf specifically when referring to Heracross and Landorus-T, so this is for consistency) Chansey and Porygon2, allowing Terrakion to break through them easier, as well as Choice Scarf Pokemon users like Heracross and Landorus-Therian, . (Breaking the sentence into two) which This allows Terrakion, Mega Diancie and Nihilego to KO these respective threats.. deal with these threats with greater ease. With Encore, Shuckle is capable of disrupting setup sweepers like Mega Scizor, Terrakion, and Mega Gallade, mitigating its passivity. It Encore also helps against passive Pokemon (would be good if you could list examples imo), since locking them into non-attacking status moves can allow an offensive threat to switch in safely. while Locking them enemies into an attack ensures that they can't cannot recover any health. However, Shuckle is held back by its non-existent offensive presence, leaving it susceptible to Pokemon with Taunt such as Gliscor, Mew, and Heatran after its Mental Herb has been consumed and This lack of an offensive presence (already understood that you are referring to its lack of offensive presence imo) also leaves it vulnerable to Magic Bounce users like Mega Diancie and Mega Sableye., which These Pokemon can also bounce back prevent Shuckle's from setting up entry hazards. Its Shuckle's typing leaves it vulnerable to Stealth Rock, which can severely limit its ability to limit the amount of times it can switch in. This, when combined with Shuckle's lack of reliable sustain, results in it Shuckle being worn down very quickly.

Sticky Web reduces the opponent’s Speed stat by 1 stage each time they upon switch in, which is very helpful advantageous for teammates such as Terrakion and Nihilego. Stealth Rock wears the opponent down each time they switch in, which is especially helpful in matchups such as Bug and Steel, especially breaking Sturdy on Pokemon such as Forretress and Skarmory. Encore allows Shuckle to disrupt setup sweepers like Mega Scizor, Terrakion, and Mega Gallade, as well as bulky Pokemon like Toxapex and Hippowdon. Knock Off is used to remove Chansey and Porygon2's Eviolites, as well as from Choice Scarf from Pokemon like Greninja and Keldeo. (Just switched around some word choices as you seem to be fond of 'each time they' and 'helpful'. Most of this paragraph seem like a repeat of what has already been mentioned above.)

Maximum investment in Defense with an Impish nature is used to makes Shuckle as physically bulky as possible. 248 EVs in HP are used to minimize Stealth Rock damage. The Mental Herb allows it Shuckle to bypass Pokemon with Taunt such as Cobalion and Deoxys-Speed for a single turn. Sturdy is the ability used to ensures that Shuckle always survives a hit from full health, which allows allowing it to set up Sticky Web against wallbreakers like Keldeo and Tyranitar.

Usage Tips
========

In most matchups, it’s it is important that Shuckle is led with immediately in order to set up Stealth Rock and Sticky Web,. This will allowing offensive threats like Mega Diancie and Terrakion to sweep more effectively. Try Predicting when the opponent will use a non-attacking status move in order to lock them into the move with Encore and allows an offensive threat to be switched in safely after Encore is used. Encore can also be useful in locking offensive Pokemon into a certain move. One Examples include would be locking Mew into Psychic to safely allow Tyranitar to switch in, or locking Latios into Draco Meteor so that Mega Diancie can safely come in. Due to Shuckle's Stealth Rock weakness and lack of recovery, it’s it is also a good idea to switch in as the opponent sets up Stealth Rock to avoid taking unnecessary damage. If Shuckle’s Mental Herb is still intact, feel free to set up Stealth Rock or Sticky Web immediately against Taunt users like Cobalion, Heatran, and Gliscor. If the Mental Herb has already been used, it is a good idea to predict when your opponent will Taunt and proceed to use Knock Off to remove their item. However, against Taunt users like Heatran and Cobalion, it is better to switch out on a predicted Taunt because Shuckle cannot severely damage them, and they are more susceptible to being taken out by Terrakion or Mega Diancie. (Just reordering to put your points regarding Mental Herb together) In matchups like Ground, Steel, and Psychic, it's it is best to prioritize Sticky Web immediately as a means of outspeeding important threats like Excadrill, Mega Scizor, and Mega Gallade. However, in matchups where Sticky Web isn't as helpful, such as Flying and Poison, it's it is better to set up Stealth Rock first. If the Mental Herb has already been used, it’s a good idea to predict when your opponent will Taunt and proceed to use Knock Off to remove their item. However, against Taunt users like Heatran and Cobalion, it's better to switch out on a predicted Taunt because Shuckle can't severely damage them, and they're more susceptible to being taken out by Terrakion or Mega Diancie. Many entry hazard removers will capitalize on how passive Shuckle is, so try predicting when hazard removers like Mantine and Armaldo will come in and double switch into an offensive threat like Tyranitar or Mega Diancie. Avoid poison as much as possible, since it will wear down Shuckle very fast and leave it unable to take hits and set up entry hazards.

Team Options

- Mega Diancie can bounce back entry hazards such as Stealth Rock and Toxic Spikes, both of which can wear down Shuckle rather quickly. In return, Shuckle's Sticky Web allows Mega Diancie to outspeed Choice Scarf Pokemon like Terrakion and Heracross, making it a prime asset in the Fighting matchup.

- Tyranitar can set up sandstorm for Shuckle with Sand Stream, allowing Shuckle to take more special hits. Tyranitar can also beat common Defoggers like Zapdos, Mantine, and Latios, which helps Shuckle keep up its hazards. It can also use Shuckle's Sticky Web to allows it Tyranitar to outspeed and KO Pokemon like Nidoking, Diggersby, and Mew.

- Terrakion appreciates Shuckle’s Sticky Web to allows it Terrakion to outspeed Excadrill in sandstorm with a Choice Scarf, as well as Choice Scarf users like Greninja and Gengar. It can also beat Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Heatran for which threaten Shuckle. Sticky Web can also give it the option to run Choice Band to function as an effective wallbreaker.

- Nihilego can beat Pokemon with Taunt such as Gliscor, as well as physical walls like Skarmory and Mega Slowbro. It also benefits from Shuckle’s Sticky Web by outspeeding and removing threats like Keldeo and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu.

- Omastar is a powerful setup sweeper that can beat Ground-types like Landorus-Therian and Garchomp after a Shell Smash, both of which can severely threaten Shuckle by setting up and breaking through it with a Z-move. With Shuckle's Sticky Web, allows Omastar can also to outspeed Choice Scarf users like Keldeo after a Shell Smash.

- Cradily offers a Water-immunity for Shuckle thanks to Storm Drain. In return, Shuckle can switch into Fighting-type attacks from Breloom and Infernape for Cradily. Shuckle having Stealth Rock can also grant it Cradily a free moveslot, and Cradily can do the same for Shuckle.

Infestation can be paired with Encore as a means of trapping and wearing down certain Pokemon, as well as granting a safe switch into an offensive threat. However, Knock Off is more valuable due to being able as it grants the ability to remove items from Choice Scarf users Choice Scarf and Eviolite. Toxic is an option for wearing down walls such as Hippowdon, Zapdos, and Mantine. However, this would come at the cost of disrupting setup sweepers with Encore. **Residual damage**: Due to having no reliable sustain and being vulnerable susceptible (just switching some phrases as you've already used vulnerable in the point above) to Stealth Rock, Shuckle gets worn down extremely quickly. Status conditions like poison also add to this, since it can rack up damage against Shuckle over time.

**Magic Bounce**: Magic Bounce Pokemon like Mega Sableye and Mega Diancie are unaffected by any of Shuckle's utility moves, and can bounce back its entry hazards. They also take little to no damage from Knock Off.

Shuckle is an incredible asset to Rock teams due to having access to a helpful utility in Sticky Web, bolstering Terrakion and Mega Diancie's effectiveness against faster teams. Its Bug-typing grants it neutralities to Grass-, Ground-, and Fighting-type attacks, allowing it to easily fit onto any Rock team. This, in tandem with its incredible bulk, allows it to set up entry hazards reliably and switch into Grass- and Fighting-types like Breloom and Infernape. Sturdy allows Shuckle to take a hit from wallbreakers like Stakataka and Keldeo. Access to Knock Off allows it to remove Eviolite from Chansey and Porygon2, as well as Choice Scarf users like Heracross and Landorus-T. This allows Terrakion, Mega Diancie (AC), and Nihilego to deal with these threats with greater ease. With Encore, Shuckle is capable of disrupting setup sweepers like Mega Scizor, Terrakion, and Mega Gallade. Encore also helps against passive Pokemon like Mantine and Toxapex, since locking them into status moves can allow an offensive threat to switch in safely. Locking enemies into an attack ensures ensure that they cannot recover any health. However, Shuckle is held back by its non-existent offensive presence, leaving it susceptible to Pokemon with Taunt such as Gliscor, Mew, and Heatran after its Mental Herb has been consumed and Magic Bounce users like Mega Diancie and Mega Sableye. These Pokemon can prevent Shuckle's Shuckle's from setting up entry hazards. Shuckle's typing leaves it vulnerable to Stealth Rock, which can severely its ability to switch in. Sticky Web reduces the opponent’s Speed stat by 1 stage upon switch in, which is advantageous for teammates such as Terrakion and Nihilego. **Magic Bounce**: Magic Bounce Pokemon like Mega Sableye and Mega Diancie are unaffected by any of Shuckle's utility moves and can bounce back its entry hazards. They also take little to no damage from Knock Off.
