Silly Things You've Seen In Other Metagames

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-434502551
Outraging a Fairy type on two different occasions, that Arceus-Fire set, and more.
(L) Darkrai Thunderbolting period, considering the only thing it hits is Jellicent, which isn't switching into Darkrai anyway. (It makes general sense because Ho-Oh and Kyogre, but not here.)
(L) Zard-X Outraging Xerneas, then using Flamethrower. Look, I know you hate Flare Blitz recoil, but come on.
(R) Kyurem-White vs. Mega Rayquaza. Aaaand Cue the...Zen Headbutt. Okay. (Ray does drop to a Draco next turn.)
(L) For that matter, Mega Rayquaza Swords Dancing in an Ice/Dragon's face. Delta Stream does not make you invincible.
(L) The send-in after losing Ray? Gliscor. You have a Sylveon and a Jellicent. Yeesh.
(R)...except Kyurem Dracoes again. Only after it is at -4 and Gliscor is behind a sub does it reveal Ice Beam.
(L) A couple of turns later, Jellicent finally comes in, on a Draco. As it's at -4, Jelly takes it just fine and Recover-stalls the now-Toxic'd dragon.
(R) Oh yeah, Kyu also has Outrage. Pink Blob lure?
(R) Primal Groudon carrying Hammer Arm and Double Edge.
(R)
The famed Arceus-Fire set: Fire Blast (decent, but Judgment)/Overheat (for when something really needs to die)/Blizzard (anti-Dragon coverage, but Ice Beam)/Aqua Tail (huh?).
(R) Salamence Outrages Sylveon. It also has Stone Edge (well, that's one way to hit Ice-types).

And now for a post: Gimmicks that might actually work edition. They're more common than you think.

Here in exhibit A, you can see a person who does not understand Entrainment, and gets wrecked for it.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-434956380
This however, is just plain incompetence. Without a Durant to exemplify it.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-434958776
Here in exhibit B, Lugia goes to town thanks to a coverage move and speed investment...

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-434970253
And again, we have incompetence. It is even more dangerous than last time.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-434973235
Look at the teams, and then imagine the outcome. It ends exactly the way you think it would, but not without silly occurrences such as Cherrim slaying a Mega Rayquaza.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-434975406
ANOTHER Entrainment Durant, this time used in the most trollish way possible. ...But wait! The opponent has countermeasures...?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-435538630
This guy must've facepalmed when my Hitmonchan just happened to have the Sceptilite...
I am too, actually. And that's coming from a person who used Typhlosion seriously in this meta. (Then again, that's probably the point of your team...)
Now then... I'm going to analyze this battle, because there's some silly stuff in there. On both sides.

[R]That's a Raticate.
[L] Vine Whip/Leaf Tornado Serperior, and using it against a Togekiss, proving incompetence right off the bat. It also has Letovers.
[R] Lopunnite Accelgor...
[L] Missing two Focus Blasts in a row, causing Avalanche Mega Tyranitar to KO it.
[R] Special Pidgeotite Weavile. I wonder why the Accelgor didn't have that stone.
[L] Ancient Power Heatran miserably failing at KOing said Weavile. It too has Leftovers.
[L] Hidden Power Ferrothorn... with Leftovers.
[L] Mega Evolving Gyarados against an obvious Fairy-typed threat...
[L] ...and using Return. Salamancite is there for a reason.
[L] Actually Mega Charizard this time, using Thunderpunch to KO Togekiss.
[Both] ...And then it continues using it on a mixed Sceptilite Hitmonchan. What..?

This battle wasn't actually that bad. Until the assault vest imposter chansey happened that is.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/bhdoubles-435717842
Probopass used Imprison!
Probopass sealed any moves its target shares with it!

goooombarrrroooo sent out Chansey!
[Opposing Chansey's Imposter!]
The opposing Chansey transformed into Probopass!

The opposing Chansey has no moves left!

The opposing Chansey used Struggle!
Probopass lost 4% of its health!
The opposing Chansey is damaged by the recoil!

I don't think it's Assault Vest Chansey. It's just Imprison Probopass shutting down Imposter Chansey. Actually it's a legit, yet risky tactic to stop Imposter.

That was my probopass, lol. That makes a lot more sense, I forgot imprison lasted forever.

Sure, you can play Mix and Mega with sample teams. You can make your own team out of the best mons in the meta. These approaches will ensure you a chance at high ladder.

Or you can play it like me.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-435770472

Guide:
1) Pick your favorite Pokémon. Not viable? Think again. Use Mega Stones that most enhance its power.
2) Repeat until you have a full team. Be sure to mix Stealth Rock somewhere in there.
3) Win. Or lose. No matter what happens, you're going to have fun.

New batch! Feel free to break any of these down, they're all pretty terrible.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-435799351
MAGIC. BOUNCE. Also, the chat is just terrible.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-435802126
Just watch. (And feel free to analyze, if you feel so inclined.)

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-435801456
AgilityPass Scolipede (#GottaGoFast), but it works. Also, TIL Sableye gets Nasty Plot.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-435799688
Another really weird one. Quick Claw Xatu is only the beginning.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-435790878
The Nidoqueen. (And other stuff.)

Yes.
[L] Mono-Ghost team in AG. But that's fine, especially compared to right....
[R] Who has Play Rough/Energy Ball/Surf/ATTRACT Slurpuff.
[R] And tries to woo the Sableye, and miserably fails.
[R] Dark Voids his own Darkrai. (Darkrai is basically the idiot void...)
[R] #DarkisnotGhost ...Yep, Darkrai uses Shadow Ball.
[R] ★DialgaEvolution: SUCK MY ICK DUMBASS!!!!!!!!
...Can you please calm down and send the Xerneas in already?
Left gets a little snappy at this point, as well.
[R] Roar of Time/Earthquake/Stone Edge/Draco Meteor Dialga. (You should send in that Xerneas...)
[R] Switches Giratina in on Sableye, with predictable results.
[R] Sends in the Xerneas LAST... and beats that Mega Sableye with it.
[L] Correctly identifies Right as 'stuipd'.

...Man, that was really dumb.

Making someone freak out with an underutilized mon is great. Serious respect points for making Delibird and Magcargo big threats.
Now.... Qwilfish will join their ranks. This battle was serious fun.
So now we're making an army of underutilized/not seen often pokemon?
I'll try making a team of 'em tommorrow and see how they do ;D

I've put in work with all of the following before.

Aggronite Raichu
Sablenite Rampardos
Mewtwonite X Trevenant
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-435980427

A battle that begins with Mud Slap Wigglytuff and ends with a Porygon2 sweep.
I sort of understand Wigglytuff (type variety), but... with MUD SLAP?

The Togekiss Sweep is real =P

The Omninous wind buff+The mega buff gives Togekiss a wopping 690 Sp. Atk XD Gg

And in this one I got lucky and got about 960 Sp. Atk XD

★masumbuko: stop spam
If you want him to not spam Tri Attack then don't make a team that's weak to Fairy.
In the second battle:
(L) In addition to spamming conventional Megas (and a Leftovers Umbreon) instead of actually playing Mix & Mega, their entire team is weak to Fairy.
(R) Using Ominous Wind that's only 2x SE on Mewtwo when STAB Pixilate Tri Attack isn't resisted. (120 power vs. 156 power)

Here's the first showing of the team, was able to display how much of a threat Swoobat, a pokemon I rarely see used competetively, can be
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-436221903

This one shows how much of a Tank Probopass can be, being able to withstand flare blitz, and an overheat from a Charizard.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-436226731

Also, Mega-Stone Selections are not final, I'm just trying a few out. Also, I decided Alakazite was a better choice for Swoobat.
