Silly Things You've Seen In Other Metagames

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-443740789
★Kurtisthekid040403: dude ice punch isnt super effective on everything!!!!

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-443715329
Yet another person doesn't understand how Primordial Sea works. Also, standard Mega Charizard Y.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-443711387
1 mon team versus a random garbage team of standard Megas and non-Megas. Guess who wins.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-443704694
Left: Ash team in which everything has Leftovers. Including the Pikachu and Greninja. Also, Torrent Greninja with Icy Wind.
Right: 5-mon team with standard Mega Latias, and Leftovers Serperior with Grass Knot and Dragon Tail instead of Contrary Leaf Storm.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-443704156
Right: Leftovers physical Clawitzer. Leftovers Arceus using non-SE Draco Meteor instead of Judgment. Leftovers Zygarde spamming Draco Meteor. And a bunch of standard Megas that get wrecked before they get to do anything.
Left: Heracronite Cloyster Shell Smashing in front of Zygarde. Not that it matters, because Right's Zygarde appears to not have Extreme Speed.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-443696924
Left has all standard Megas and random Ubers mons and continues the trend of not understanding how Primordial Sea works. He gets swept by Blue Orb Manectric.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-443692002
Right has a bunch of random standard Megas and bad 'mons, including Mega Alakazam, and Mega Houndoom with no Sun support that spams Sludge Bomb for no reason. He also gets swept by Blue Orb Manectric. A really amusing part is when Left tries to read a Torterra switch-in and uses HP Ice, only for Right to not switch out their Mega Houndoom.

I think you've got the wrong metagame, dude. Also, obligatory not knowing what Desolate Land does. (Also featuring me forgetting that Greninja runs Gunk Shot)

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-443885944

Double Origin Pulse against Desolate Land. Also, forfeiting when it was probably still worth it to play it out.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-439949997

Thunder Ho-Oh seems less than optimal (the double miss was pretty unfortunate too). Also, Focus Sash Lugia with Ancient Power, no less.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-439957793

(R) Leaving Rayquaza in against a slow Fairy-type when Trick Room was up.
(R) Sending in Mewtwo (which Mega'd into MMX) on a known Moonblast user.
(R) I don't think I'm ever gonna get the people who use Eruption on Primal Groudon in those circumstances.
(R) Obligatory not understanding Desolate Land.
(R) I think I later learned that Mega Zard X was mixed, which it doesn't need to be if I'm not mistaken.
(R) Vanilla Megas on everything.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-439968487

This battle. I can see Cameruptite Sylveon being a threat, but not when it's one of only two 'mons on a team and the other is a Leafeon lol

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-444009711
This is going on the silly things thread for the time I got impatient with Blissey and Toxiced when I should have Wished again, but survived anyway because my opponent got a max damage roll followed by a minimum damage roll and left me at 1 HP.
Oh, and for the time my opponent Baton Passed a Swords Dance to Blazikenite Hoopa-Unbound and its Drain Punch left Ampharosite Jirachi at 1 HP.
And for the time I clicked Fake Out when I should have clicked Feint, only for it to not matter because I then crit with Feint.
And because I successfully set up a sweep with Red Orb Raikou and didn't even notice. (My opponent forfeited, but I'd actually clicked Volt Switch again instead of Thunderbolt.)

Edit: The Feint crit didn't matter.
252 Atk Refrigerate Glalitite Weavile Feint vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Blazikenite Hoopa Unbound: 100-118 (33.2 - 39.2%) -- 99.8% chance to 3HKO
Holy crap.

Edit 2: Crit sorta mattered, because it appears that Hoopa Unbound was running max HP. He had about an 87.9% chance of surviving Feint between damage rolls and crit chance after how much he took from Doom Desire. Of course, I got a low-end damage roll with Doom Desire.

...That reply reminds me of something. I cannot believe that I forgot about Pangoro in my post in the Mix and Mega thread.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-443992226
Few one sheep armies work.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-443996456
Even more Primordial Sea stupidity. The Kyogre takes ZERO damage.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-443995240
Okay, what is this..?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-444038693
Mix and Mega is just a fountain for these, isn't it...?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-444046111
You're never going to win by exploding all over the other team....

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-444049794
This is just.... no. Someone take this one.

  • (R) Level 1 Pikachu. Looks more like FEAR than Imposter.
  • (L&R) Yep, I wasn't wrong. Its name is "KILL ME", it wears a Sash and it used Endeavor... on a Fire Spin Mega Charizard X (Magma Storm exists), before dying.
  • (R) The good ol' "Fuckle" set, with Magic Bounce, Infestation, Rest and Cosmic Power.
  • (L) Beat Up Yveltal.
  • (L) Chansey turns into Shuckle and reveals Rapid Spin, the last move.
  • (R) Mega Mewtwo X almost beat Shuckle (the Chansey) through Dynamic Punch and confusion, but fails at 5% when Chansey Rests and ruins everything.
  • (R) Aaand another Infestation + Cosmic Power Pokémon, this time as Mega Audino. It reveals later its Red Card, forcing Chansey to switch, then its ability Prankster while using Spore.
  • (L) Magic Bounce Lugia, with 3 entry hazards on its moveset (all except SR). Alas, it used Sticky Web the same turn the enemy Mega Mewtwo Y revealed Contrary, making its team lose to a sweep.

This is... silly.
(L) Mega Abomasnow
(R) Even worse: Machamp, Genesect, and regular Houndoom. All mons but Aegislash are niche at best.
(R) Frisk Hoopa-U. Frisk.
(R) Baton Passing boosts in BH isn't good in the first place
(R) Block Lugia (at least Spider Web has more PP)
(L) Non-Magic Guard Ho-Oh is niche at best. But Iron Head? For what, Diancie?
(R) Protect in BH.
(R) Attempts to triple Protect.
(L) Dragon Pulse Mega Ray. No reason to run Dragon STAB, not to mention Spacial Rend. It later reveals Dragon Claw.
(R) Sacks Hoopa-U and Machamp before switching Genesect into Mega Rayquaza. Speaking of Genesect...
(R) Download Genesect.
(L) Which somehow scares off Mega Rayquaza.
(L) Refrigerate Mega Abosmasnow is bad. Flash Fire is just terrible.
(L) Sunny Day... on Mega Abomasnow... what? It later reveals Flamethrower.
(L) Switches MMY into an obvious Dark Pulse.
(L) Water Shuriken Skill Link MMY. Btw, Water Shuriken is weakened by the sun set up by its teammate. Nice work.
(L) Mega Rayquaza finally realizes it can OHKO Genesect.
(R) Aegislash is his/her LAST Mega Rayquaza switch-in.
(R) Destiny Bond being the last Pokémon standing.
(R) Autotomize Aegislash.
(L) Blissey spams... Ingrain and Aqua Ring.
(L) Dark Pulse Deoxys-S.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/bhdoubles-444151652

Good grief.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/bhdoubles-444151530

This is... absolutely terrible. Neither of these people understand 'Hackmons'.
1st replay: Double Power Herb Geomancy without Pickup? For shame! If you're going to gimmick then at least gimmick properly. Also, Typhlosion spamming Searing Shot and repeatedly hitting his non-Flash Fire teammate. Which reminds me, if you're not using Pickup on your double Power Herb Geomancy you should be using Flash Fire and having them both spam Searing Shot since they're both Fire-types. Also, Telepathy exists for more general utility.

2nd replay is bad even by non-BH standards. I especially like the part where Left EQs and Roosts on the same turn and KOs his own Articuno. Especially since he didn't really have any reason to use anything other than just Rock Slide again. And the part where Left's Walrein uses Super Fang against a Keldeo with ~40% HP left.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-444282246
(L & R) Chat.
(L) Sceptilite Gengar? Well I guess you're immune to Thunder Wave…
(R) At least Arcanine learns Outrage, so I guess Charizardite X Arcanine isn't the worst idea in the world.
(L) Pidgeotite… Mr. Mime? We never see what moveset it's running because it gets one-shotted by Pinsirite Terrakion's Iron Head.
(R) Pinsirite Terrakion is running Quick Attack. That's a new one on me.
(L) Blue Orb Ferrothorn comes in on Pinsirite Terrakion and tries to boost. Just because it's now Rock/Flying doesn't mean it no longer has access to Close Combat.
(R) Steelixite Cradily. Dunno what its gimmick was supposed to be, 'cause it gets one-shotted by Lucarionite Keldeo's Secret Sword.
(R) Is out of ways to deal with Keldeo and tries Metagrossite Bisharp's Sucker Punch. It doesn't do much.
(R) Banettite Blissey. It almost gets one-shotted by Secret Sword before finally KOing Keldeo with Hyper Voice.
(L) Blazikenite is a good stone, and he did put it on a physical 'mon, but… Toxicroak?
(R) Lucarionite Hitmonlee for some reason.
(L) Red Orb Raikou has Extreme Speed. It does 42% to uninvested Lucarionite Hitmonlee. That's some pretty sad damage output.
(R) Uses High Jump Kick to KO Red Orb Raikou when Earthquake would have done the job and would be more reliable.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-444281519
An idiot who doesn't know how to Mix & Mega at all gets swept by Baton Pass, doing absolutely nothing to prove its brokenness.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-444277625
(L) Banettite Smeargle with the Imprison + Transform gimmick.
(R) Body Slam Blissey.
(R) Using Body Slam on a Ghost-type.
(R) Can't deal with his own Gengar and forfeits.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-444273004
★TruestAura: garintia looks boss
(L) Attack Forme Deoxys? Origin Forme Giratina? Weird.
(R) Charizardite X Bisharp?
(R) Forfeits after Justified + Swords Dance + Quick Attack from Pinsirite Cobalion wrecks his Bisharp.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-444259975
Oh hey, another match featuring standard Mega spam and bad sets. Moving right along…

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-444300260

I was going to put other matches with this post, but this match is worthy of its own pedestal. I think my face is red from laughing at the utter STUPIDITY of this one.
Dear god, someone take this one.
(L) Male (Cosplay Pikachu is always female) Rock Star Cosplay Pikachu named "GIRLY GIRLLLLL".
(L) Discharge when Nuzzle and Bolt Strike exist.
(R) Air Lock + Focus Sash Shedinja. Sturdy + Safety Goggles is how you actually do that setup lol.
(L) Greninja at all. It doesn't even have Protean.
(R) Iron Barbs Ferrothorn trying to set 3 layers of Stealth Rock. Stealth Rock is not Spikes and you should stop attempting to use it as such.
(L) Male (Mewtwo are normally genderless) Power-Up Punch Mega Mewtwo X.
(R) Bad Dreams Darkrai with Drain Punch and Dream Eater.
(L) Female (Keldeo is normally genderless) Mixed Keldeo named "FRICKIN PINKIE PIE". It has both Aqua Tail and Hydro Pump.
(R) Perish Trap Blissey using Whirlpool for trapping instead of Infestation.
(L) Cross Chop Mega Lucario.
(R) Attract Mega Aggron. It's convenient how all of Left's supposedly genderless 'mons have genders to make them vulnerable to Attract, isn't it?
(R) Delta Stream Mega Rayquaza with Geomancy + Power Herb, Extreme Speed, and Draco Meteor. The last of which it tries to use on Left's Sylveon.
(L) Charm Sylveon. Pretty sure that's not a thing.
(L) Sylveon crits a Moonblast and takes out Right's Mega Rayquaza.
(R) Attract Blissey.
(R) Wins because Blissey is slower than Sylveon, and thus dies second from Perish Song.

Some random Eeveelution team making progress on the ladder. Right has a bunch of random Ubers/OU/UU 'mons with only one Mega.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-444454195
Left uses standard megas plus a few garbage 'mons. Right has weird ideas about Megas and doesn't use the correct moves. (Altarianite Crobat should use Return on Mega Lucario, not non-STAB Brave Bird!) Also, Right has standard Mega Metagross. And the end of the match is particularly confusing.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-444453994
Left's team is a random assortment of non-Mega'd bad 'mons, standard Megas with bad sets (Flamethrower Mega Aerodactyl?), and Ubers. Right is an Explosion team.
Also, Left tries to use Eruption during Primordial Sea. When will people learn?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-444447302
Right has a Deino, and a Shadow Punch Mega Gengar, and a Dragalge holding an Aguav Berry, left has terribad non-Megas and a couple standard Megas, and all the damage calcs don't make sense. Is that a +Attack nature Mega Gengar with no EVs? Shadow Punch should not deal 33% to Vivillon unless Vivillon has HP investment, which it shouldn't. An alternative is that Mega Gengar has 252 Attack investment and a –Attack nature, which is also pretty stupid. Also, I think that's a Choice Scarf Vivillon.

I tried MnM and didn't like it originally b/c mindless e-speed. Since it's wrapping up, I thought i'd try to ladder on it. Here's the results:

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-444899693
Nothing interesting until the end. Special charizard-x focus blasts my gengar twice. Then misses fire blast. Then double-edges.
Turn 10

Gengar's Gengarite is reacting to Wendig0's Mega Bracelet!
Gengar has Mega Evolved into Mega Gengar!

Gengar used Destiny Bond!
Gengar is hoping to take its attacker down with it!

The opposing Charizard used Focus Blast!
It doesn't affect Gengar...
Turn 11

Gengar used Destiny Bond!
Gengar is hoping to take its attacker down with it!

The opposing Charizard used Focus Blast!
It doesn't affect Gengar...
Turn 12

Gengar used Destiny Bond!
Gengar is hoping to take its attacker down with it!

The opposing Charizard used Fire Blast!
Gengar avoided the attack!
Turn 13

Gengar used Destiny Bond!
Gengar is hoping to take its attacker down with it!

The opposing Charizard used Double-Edge!
It doesn't affect Gengar...
Turn 14

viniR7 forfeited.

Wendig0 won the battle!

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-444903101
Okay wtf is that groudon set?
Also, non-speed boost blaziken

This was my favorite:
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-444906906
Water pulse kyogre, a non-mega muk, and double-edge mewtwo-x
"Ima draco meteor the +4 fairy type"
"The opponent has magic bounce and i'm faster. Better use dark void!"

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-444909164
WHY TF IS THERE A PICHU WITH IRON TAIL IN MNM?!
Extrasensory Raikou, non-mega mewtwo, a FUCKING PICHU

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-445030743
Fly charizard, then megas after. Also, regular groudon
He then tried to rematch me, and I proceeded to whoop his ass without taking damage

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-445034095
And, finally, almost gen 1 legendary only team.
With shitty sets.
