Silly Things You've Seen In Other Metagames

So now we're making an army of underutilized/not seen often pokemon?
I'll try making a team of 'em tommorrow and see how they do ;D
You know, at first I was disappointed when I tried to check out M&M again, since it seemed like the time for theorymonning was over and there was already a consensus on what was viable and what wasn't...

...but now it looks like I can start experimenting again! Fun!

I was trying to see how viable Shell Smash Sheer Force LO Mega Rayquaza would be for the Creative/Underrated sets thread, and this was my first opponent

They were bad, to say the least
★jubalubal330:poop

also thunder both hitting and paralyzing first-turn, rip rayquaza sweep

those nicknames are pretty great too, like "shiny" for Mega Gallade, "fart in a jar" for Scizor, and "gost" for Mega Gengar

Suboptimal sets everywhere, and the first 3 turns really confused me
(L) Breloom's only attacking move seems to be Focus Punch. This is why we have Grass STAB or Rock Tomb or something.
(R) Mega Gengar packing Dazzling Gleam, because fuck missing.
(L) Rotom-Wash with Shadow Ball, which fails to defeat Gengar.
(L) Jolteon also with Shadow Ball. This is what happens when you try hyper offense with mons that don't have the movepool for it.
(R) WHY DO THE NOIVERN ALWAYS HAVE BOOMBURST. It did attempt to make use of Flamethrower with residual sun turns, but Boomburst did more.

New batch! Feel free to break any of these down, they're all pretty terrible.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-435790878
The Nidoqueen. (And other stuff.)
I'll take this one

(Both) Their teams look like Mixed OU teams, which is now making me think that this is a battle for a GBA-Styled like. Which means weird things are about to go down. I ran Waterfall Dragonite in League before, it gets weird
(R) Nidoqueen Outrages Flygon, who U-Turns out into Registeel, when it could've had Ice Beam/Punch. Also, Physical Nidoqueen
(L) Registeel's nickname made me chuckle on the inside... figured I'd mention that...
(R) Energy Ball instead of Giga Drain on Mega Venusaur, and it actually works out against the Tentcruel that most likely has Liquid Ooze
(R) Dragon Pulse Lucario
(R) Cofagrigus' nickname is Isis, after the Egyptian Goddess, but is Male.
(L) Special Mega Absol
(L) ...which kills Mandibuzz
(R) Superpower Nidoqueen
(R) Nidoqueen Stone Edges the Flygon that is forced to stay in using Outrage when he has Outrage
(R) THE NIDOQUEEN HAD POISON POINT?!

I may have just witnessed the dumbest set ever conceived. In mix and mega, I give you, Blue Orb Victini! If you didn't know, the Blue Orb gives you +50 Atk, +30 SpA and +20 SpD, and the ability Primordial Sea. Which of course, negates damage dealing Fire moves. Which removes the entire point of using Victini.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-436718185
(R) Mixed Altarianite Zygarde with Earthquake/Crunch/Dragon Pulse. It used Dragon Pulse on a Blue Orb Ferrothorn. If you're gonna click resisted STAB moves against a Steel-type, why not Return/ESpeed? In fact, if the entire rest of your kit is physical why aren't you running Draco Meteor?
(R) Pinsirite Entei with… Body Slam? Para chance exists I guess so sure. Mixed Pinsirite Entei with Body Slam and Extrasensory is more questionable though. Meanwhile, Left demonstrates how to actually use Dragon Pulse effectively.
(R) Lucarionite Greninja is an idea. Not sure if optimal but whatever. Mixed Lucarionite Greninja with Power-up Punch on the other hand is a terrible idea.
(R) Aforementioned Blue Orb Victini has Fusion Bolt rather than Bolt Strike. If it were an even trade I'd be okay with that, but it's +30 power and a 20% paralysis chance for only -15% accuracy, so Bolt Strike is the better move.
(R) Standard Mega Metagross. Okay then.

Okay, I'm not topping that replay above me right now, but I can try.

Yes, those 5 pokemon on right are Level 90. It... gets worse.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-436620736
This battle sure is something. Also, I like the irony of True Power fainting.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-437013227
If you get swept this bad... you might want to rethink a few things.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-437014174
This starts off tame enough, but then the last part happens, and everything just free falls around that Garchomp.

These next three are DANGEROUS, and for their own reasons.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-437018142 Shedinja quickie.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-437019190 Another one.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-437021719 BH is not Little Cup.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-437116041
Sharpedo gets a triple Protect, but Gardevoir has traced Speed Boost. Right has zero Fairy-neutrals (any one of Skuntank, Drapion, Houndoom, or Bisharp). You can guess what happens next.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-437114583
Right has six Dragonite, then forfeits when they realize the lack of Sleep Clause. (Also, there's a Jynx...aaaand Cue the Ice Beam Sweep.)

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-437121662
Webs go up, Bisharp comes out, the rest is history.

I have lost all ability to even. Have at it, folks.

Forgot to save the replay, but I think I have you beat.

BANETTITE SHEDINJA.

Is that a non-Huge Power Azumarill?
I think, and possibly with no Attack investment whatsoever. That or the Raikou had EVs invested to HP/Defense for some reason.

0 Atk Azumarill (level 90) Aqua Jet vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Raikou (Latiasite): 21-25 (6.5 - 7.7%) -- possibly the worst move ever

I think Showdown rounds up for decimals above .5, correct me if I'm wrong, which is why it showed 8% and not 7%

(R) Seismitoad / Marshtomp / Ducklett / Servine / Togetic / Pikachu
(L) Dark Void+Shadow Ball (obligatory #DarkIsNotGhost)+Nightmare+Dream Eater Quick Claw Darkrai.
(L) Two of them, actually.
(R) Curse Marshtomp.
(L) Multiple attempts to Dark Void something that's already asleep.
(L) Using Aura Sphere MMX to counter the Double Team spam. Never mind that the Double Team spammer in question was Togetic, a 4x Fighting resist.
(L) Thunder Wave non-mega Rayquaza.
(R) Ducklett sweep.

Because I am not a white knight, and my morals in terms of this thread are pretty skewed... Have a Curse Aerodactyl sweep (not by me). Enjoy.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-437266850

And then Jolteon giving a team trouble, too.

EDIT: This has been a slow day, and I'm thankfully in the clear. So have some incredibly silly replays.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-437428385

The Ferrothorn plays literally make this match into gold.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-437560411

This is some of the most incompetent playing I've ever seen. Someone take this one.

I'm back with more ridiculously stupid battles :P

Sigh. Masquerain sweeps a team.

★BigPapaMacho: WHAT A DICKHEAD
That pretty much sums up this battle.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-437569388
...
(R) Blizzard Greninja. Ice Beam exists.
(L) Dazzling Gleam Mega Altaria. Hyper Voice exists.
(L) The spelling of Robin bugs me too much not to mention it. If that was on purpose then left has a problem.
(L) Fly Talonflame.
(L) Hyperspace Hole Hoopa-U.
(L) Dive Walrein.
(L) Left has also forgotten that Ice Beam exists and has Blizzard.
(L) Graveler.
(L) Graveler uses Earthquake on Staraptor.

*sigh
