Other Silly Things You've Seen On The OU Ladder: V2

I have no idea wtf was going on. Was on the ladder with my Defog Dragon Dance gimmick Latios and my opponent had a Mammoswine out. After he set up Stealth Rock, I did a DD predicting it. Then I did a misclick and DD'd again, but then he Stealth Rock'd again. We continued to go on in this manner until I was at 4x Attack and Speed before sweeping his whole team. When I asked him why he did it, he said that he was scared of me Defog'ing his Rocks away when he had both Ice Shard and Icicle Crash...

Since when does Latios carry Defog? I thought Latias was the Defogger.
Edit: Just looked at his analysis. Totally saw Defog. IGNORE ME

-A team of NU NFE's. And it almost won. Also, Quick Claw Latias: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-118188668
-Attract Sableye and Meowstic-M. And it worked. For a while.
-Carbink. Seriously, it sucks.
-Aerial Ace Jirachi.
-Rotom-W using Thunder Wave on Magnezone.
-Inner Focus Umbreon. Last I checked, Synchronize was better.
-Yet another non-mega Charizard.
-Articuno.
-Aerial Ace Tyranitar.
-Well, of course Garchomp is a good switch in to Outrage. Excadrill? Aegislash? Nah.
-Persian. And it was mixed, with Icy Wind (which at least has some utility) and Iron Tail (not so much).
-Sudowoodo.
-Weakness Policy... Regirock?
-Weak Armor Skarmory. Triggered by Super Fang from Sandslash, of all things.
-Focus Sash+Thunder Wave Bisharp.
-So much silly stuff here: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-118201408
-Bounce Galvantula.
-Someone forfeiting turn 1 when Smeargle's Spore got MB'ed by Espeon. Come on, that's the most obvious switch-in ever.
-Ferrothorn using Gyro Ball... on Shuckle.
-Floatzel.

Unfortunately 99% of Smeargle players will either ragequit or (as happened to me once) say things I will never repeat when spore fails/backfires. Most of them are low on the ladder and frankly as mindless as they come (outside of BP teams), since Deo-D does everything smeargle does, but better.

It's a lot better when you have Deo-D use Magic Coat when they try to Spore you, screwing them over even more than just using Taunt.

I can only somewhat understand using Smeargle as a Hazard setter. I always like my Hazard setter to actually have bulk. I guess Smeargle would be nice because it might or might not be a Hazard Setter... Honestly, at this point with all of this Magic Bouncing, Smeargle might as well just Smash Pass. Expect the obvious Espeon Switch, Shell Smash, and Baton Pass. Also, having Magic Coat might be just silly for stopping the opponent's own Hazard Setting

The opposing Volcarona used Fiery Dance!
Dusclops lost 70.6% of its health!
The opposing Volcarona's Special Attack rose!

Dusclops used Will-O-Wisp!
But it failed!

The opposing Volcarona restored HP using its Leftovers!

anonydude: little op your thing

Also non-sturdy Skarmory, and keeping the only thing with some chance of doing anything last. And using any hidden power other than Rock against a Volcarona.

I use Magic Coat. It's awesome for fucking shit up. Especially Prankster users like Sableye... And Sableye. And Deoxys-S I guess. (And Darkrai, because EVERY DARKRAI HAS DARK VOID AND IT'S SO FUCKING PREDICTIBLE CHRIST)

-Giga Drain Ferrothorn.
-Grass Whistle, Ice Shard, Energy Ball M-Abomasnow. (Okay, in the person's defense. I can understand the annoying recoil damage, but come on now.)

6th Round of silly replays: "6 days before ONE FOR ALL" Edition

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-118264412
Team A:
  • Claydol.
  • Rotom-F.
  • Focus Blast + Earthquake Conkeldurr.
Team B:
  • The entire Regi trio in this team, including...
  • Iron Defense Registeel without Leftovers.
  • Sandstorm + Iron Defense + Seismic Toss + Explosion Regirock, still without Leftovers.
  • Amnesia Regice, without... well, you know.
  • Amnesia Deoxys-D... finally with Leftovers!

Million dollar question: Between Pinsir, Scizor, Absol and Manectric, who will Mega Evolve? The answer in the spoilers!
Team A:
  • It wasn't Pinsir, who died too quickly.
  • Detect Conkeldurr.
  • It wasn't Absol, who tried to sweep with SD.
  • And the winner is... SCIZOR!!!
  • A physical attacker Nidoking set, apparently without Earthquake. Well, with the base Attack buff this gen, it might work.
Team B:
  • Magmar.
  • Ice Beam Latios. Because Draco Meteor isn't powerful enough?
  • Hypnosis Gengar.
  • Electivire. With Quick Claw.
  • Roserade.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-118269956
Team A:
  • Sawk.
  • Honchkrow. At least it KO'd three Pokémon.
  • Electivire. Again.
  • Delphox. With Blast Burn!
Team B:
  • Hidden Power Entei. It was SE against Honchkrow, so it was either Rock, Ice (maybe for Gliscor) or Electric.

Did you ever tried sweeping with shedinja on low ladder ubers?
It's the most fun thing I have ever tried, almost everybody struggles against this mon
Watch all those overpowered legendaries be killed by a empty cocoon one after another is priceless.

Just look at this:
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ubers-118310060

Shedinja SwagPlay + SD FTW

Another one but this one is special, the guy knew how to kill shedinja :O

I heard some people say awhile back that this thread's getting stale. if they think so, they should open it to random battles. My favorite moment was steamrolling three opposing mons with.... shuckle!

I have done it! The Masterpiece is complete!
The Masterpiece! (Of shit in Ubers)
No STAB Krookodile (BrickBreak/StealthRock/DragonTail/StoneEdge)
Assault Vest Pikachu. I'm fucking serious.
Did Ash ever have a Donphan? Because I saw an Ash team with Donphan in it (which is the same team that ^THOSE^ came from.
Focus Blast Xerneas. Because HP Fire sucks I guess.
HealBell/CosmicPower/Wish/Toxic Clefable. In Ubers. Where Mega Gengar can just rape it. Genius!
The VERY SAME CLEFABLE WISH PASSING TO A LEFTOVERS GENGAR WITH 95% HP
And the Gengar? Substitute/FocusPunch/ShadowClaw/Hypnosis
Zoroark pretending to be an Avalugg. Shared Fighting weakness aside, they LED with it. Obvious move is obvious.
Shadow Claw and Nightmare Darkrai.
Dark Pulse, Shadow Claw, Shadow Ball and Shadow Punch Haunter. Without Eviolite. In Ubers. WHY.
Mega Mawile with Dark Pulse, Iron Head, Double Edge and Brick Break. Yup.
Staraptor with Brave Bird, Close Combat, DETECT and Quick Attack.
Infernape with AERIAL ACE, BLAZE KICK AND BRICK BREAK.
Because Iron Fist means nothing.
And finally....
NO STAB TORRENT GRENINJA (HP Dragon, Extrasensory, Grass Knot, Mat Block)
WHAT. THE. FUUUUUUUUCK
