[OVERVIEW]
While Silvally-Electric faces significant competition from Electric-types such as Rotom-S and Electivire and other Silvally formes such as Dragon, Dark, Water, and Fighting, it has a few traits that help set it apart. Silvally-Electric provides great role compression, being able to check Water- and Flying-types such as Swanna, Mareanie, Rotom-S, and Toucannon and provide both Defog and pivoting support. Moreover, Silvally-Electric 2HKOes most Ground-types with Ice Beam, something other Electric-types typically cannot do. Alternatively, with Toxic and Protect, Silvally-Electric acts as a great scout against Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Electivire and is able to whittle down much of the metagame at the cost of significantly less utility without U-turn and Defog. However, the Silvally formes mentioned earlier tend to overshadow Silvally-Electric due to its comparatively lower defensive utility and effectiveness as a Defogger. Similarly, Rotom-S gives Silvally-Electric heavy competition because it defensively checks a wider range of threats thanks to its Flying typing and ability to hold an item for passive recovery. Silvally-Electric also lacks recovery and is affected by all forms of entry hazards, which make it worse as an entry hazard remover compared to Pokemon such as Altaria, Swanna, and Komala. In addition to other Silvally formes and Rotom-S, Electric-types such as Electivire and Raichu give Silvally-Electric competition as well due to their ability to hold an item and act as revenge killers and breakers.

Moves
========
Ice Beam provides excellent coverage alongside Thunderbolt and enables Silvally-Electric to threaten Ground-, Dragon-, and Grass-types such as Golem, Silvally-Dragon, and Leafeon. U-turn allows Silvally-Electric to generate momentum against Pokemon it cannot break through such as Lickilicky and Bronzor as well as against Pokemon it forces out such as defensive Rotom-S and Poliwrath. Parting Shot can be used over U-turn to more easily bring in teammates, but without U-turn, Silvally-Electric cannot heavily damage or scout damage to predict the sets of Exeggutor, Komala, and Camerupt.
Set Details
========
The given EV spread and a Timid nature allow Silvally-Electric to outspeed Pokemon such as Chatot and Mr. Mime while also Speed tying with opposing offensive Silvally formes and Leafeon.
Usage Tips
========
Silvally-Electric should focus on pivoting and bringing teammates in safely. Preserve Silvally-Electric's health in order for it to pivot throughout the course of a game effectively. Avoid switching it into Toxic Spikes or attacks it does not resist, and be mindful of chip damage from resisted attacks such as Rotom-S's Air Slash, Electivire's Wild Charge, and Swanna's Brave Bird. Silvally-Electric must remain healthy enough to check setup sweepers such as Z-Mirror Move Swanna and Swords Dance Bibarel in a pinch. Silvally-Electric should use U-turn on bulkier switch-ins such as Assault Vest Kecleon and Muk that its teammates can take advantage of. Because Silvally-Electric cannot switch into entry hazard setters such as Golem, Torterra, and Bronzor, it should use Defog on Pokemon it checks and on forced switches against Pokemon such as Mareanie, Altaria, and Oricorio-F. Silvally-Electric must weigh the pros and cons of removing entry hazards or chipping away at its switch-ins; Ice Beam nails offensive switch-ins such as Silvally-Ground and Marowak, while defensive switch-ins such as Bronzor, Camerupt, and Muk are better targets for U-turn and Defog.
Team Options
========
Silvally-Electric best fits on balance and offensive teams that need an Electric-type to check Pokemon such as Swanna, Poliwrath, and Rotom-S and a pivot and Defogger in one slot. Setup sweepers such as Nasty Plot Simipour, Swords Dance Pawniard, and Swords Dance Leafeon appreciate Silvally-Electric's ability to check Water- and Flying-types such as Mareanie, Poliwrath, Swanna, and Rotom-S. Similarly, wallbreakers such as Choice Specs Simisear, mixed Simisage, and Marowak appreciate Silvally-Electric's ability to pivot. Pokemon that can check Ground-types such as Stealth Rock Torterra, Gourgeist-XL, and defensive Poliwrath are great partners for Silvally-Electric. In return, Silvally-Electric provides Defog support to help keep them healthy. Additional pivots alongside Silvally-Electric such as Choice Band Furfrou, Choice Specs Chatot, and U-turn Monferno make for fantastic partners to keep up momentum.

Moves

Toxic is used to put switch-ins such as Lickilicky, Electivire, and Silvally-Ground on a timer. On top of racking up poison damage, Protect allows Silvally-Electric to scout out Choice item users such as Choice Scarf Electivire, Choice Specs Beheeyem, and Choice Band Komala. Ice Beam provides great neutral coverage alongside Thunderbolt and helps Silvally-Electric threaten Pokemon such as Exeggutor, Marowak, and Altaria.
Set Details
========
Maximum Special Attack and Speed EVs with a Timid nature ensure Silvally-Electric can 2HKO foes such as Mareanie and Rotom-S and Speed tie with opposing Silvally formes.
Usage Tips
========
This Silvally-Electric set is best used to Toxic stall and scout out Choice item users. Silvally-Electric should spread Toxic early-game, crippling foes so that its team can more easily break apart teams. Once Ground-, Dragon-, and Grass-types have been hit with Toxic, it is easier to make aggressive predictions with Ice Beam to nab 2HKOs. Protect is used for scouting, so be sure to scout foes in order to ease prediction the following turn. Scouting with Protect is usually free against Pokemon such as Assault Vest Kecleon and Electivire, as they do not run setup moves and you can find out their coverage moves. Protect is also useful to reduce damage against Z-Move users such as Rain Dance Swanna and Exeggutor, which is useful for preserving Silvally-Electric's health. Silvally-Electric needs to remain healthy in order to scout and Toxic stall effectively, so avoid switching it into unresisted attacks, and be mindful of the chip damage from resisted attacks. However, Protect has consequences against setup sweepers and walls such as Swords Dance Bouffalant, Shell Smash Crustle, and Heal Bell Lickilicky that can take advantage of the free turn. In these situations, play more aggressively and weaken setup Pokemon with Thunderbolt and switch in wallbreakers on the turns walls use to heal.
Team Options
========
This Silvally-Electric set works best on balance and semi-stall teams because of its ability to Toxic stall, act as a scout, and soft check Water- and Flying-types. Setup sweepers that appreciate Ground-, Grass-, and Dragon-types being crippled by Toxic such as Shell Smash Crustle, Nasty Plot Simisage, and Swords Dance Combusken pair well with this set. On bulkier teams, Silvally-Electric needs partners that support it defensively. Defensive Pokemon such as Bronzor, Gourgeist-XL, and Marowak are able to check Pokemon Silvally-Electric has trouble with, such as Exeggutor, Bouffalant, and Golem. Similarly, clerics such as Wish Lickilicky and Heal Bell Altaria pair well with Silvally-Electric because it easily worn down and vulnerable to status. Entry hazard removers such as Swanna, Komala, and Sandslash are a necessity alongside Silvally-Electric because it is worn down by all forms of entry hazards and lacks recovery.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Flamethrower is an option over Defog on the first set if your team struggles with Pokemon such as Pinsir, Metang, and Pawniard and already has an entry hazard remover, but an all-out attacking set is usually outdone by Expert Belt Electivire. Silvally-Electric can run a bulkier spread of 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe on the Defog set to better check threats such as Swanna and Toucannon, but the lack of Special Attack investment leaves Silvally-Electric easily walled and worse off against Water-types such as Mareanie and Poliwrath.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Ground-types**: While most Ground-types are 2HKOed by Ice Beam and fear Toxic, Pokemon such as Golem, Silvally-Ground, Camerupt, and Sandslash can tank an Ice Beam and threaten to KO Silvally-Electric back.
**Faster Pokemon**: Faster Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Electivire, mixed Simisage, Kadabra, and Dugtrio threaten to OHKO Silvally-Electric after it has been weakened.
**Special Walls**: Specially bulky Pokemon such as Bronzor, Lickilicky, and Dusclops wall Silvally-Electric and are immune to Toxic, have Heal Bell, or have Rest to play around Toxic.
**Residual Damage**: Silvally-Electric is vulnerable to all forms of entry hazards and lacks recovery, which make it especially prone to being worn down.
