Silvally-Steel is able to function as a solid set-up sweeper in the RU metagame. With its pure Steel-typing it’s able to take on a lot of key Pokemon such as Silvally-Fairy, Vileplume, and Snorlax. Swords Dance boosts Silvally-Steel’s attack stat letting it cleave through bulkier Pokemon much easier. Multi-Attack is an extremely hard hitting 120 BP steel-type move that is extremely spammable. Flame Charge grants Silvally-Steel the ability to boost its speed while also giving it a coverage move to dent the Steel-types that take advantage of it. Defog lets Silvally-Steel fill a role as an offensive hazard remover that can pivot with U-Turn. Rock Slide is able to hit Steel-type resists such as Charizard and Vikavolt. U-Turn allows Silvally-Steel to pivot out of unfavorable matchups against Pokemon that resist its moves.
