[OVERVIEW]

Silvally-Steel serves as a great pick on balanced teams thanks to its Steel typing and access to pivoting moves, such as Parting Shot and U-turn, as well as entry hazard removal in Defog. Silvally-Steel's typing lets it check common wallbreakers, such as Vanilluxe, Diancie, Sneasel, and Whimsicott, which all give less defensively oriented builds trouble. Additionally, Silvally-Steel's typing allows it to use Defog easily against common Grass-, Fairy-, and Poison-type Pokemon like Garbodor, Comfey, Vileplume, and defensive Decidueye. Parting Shot and U-turn let Silvally-Steel function as a pivot and allow it to safely bring in either threatening wallbreakers like Incineroar, Sneasel, and Medicham or other defensive Pokemon like Slowbro, Diancie, Xatu, and Vaporeon. Silvally-Steel also has a respectable base 95 Speed, letting it outspeed prominent wallbreakers like Incineroar and Decidueye without needing to invest too heavily. Unfortunately, Silvally-Steel's ability mandates that it holds a Steel Memory to turn into Silvally-Steel, meaning it cannot hold a more useful item to increase its longevity like Leftovers or a pinch Berry. Furthermore, Silvally-Steel does not have access to a reliable recovery move, making it easy to wear down. Silvally-Steel is also weak to common types in Fire, Ground, and Fighting, giving it a poor matchup against metagame staples like Incineroar, Rhydon, Passimian, and Medicham. Silvally-Steel's passiveness is problematic as well, as it lets many threatening wallbreakers such as Incineroar, Medicham, and Braviary switch in easily.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Defog lets Silvally-Steel clear entry hazards from the field. Flamethrower gives Silvally-Steel the means to threaten opposing Steel-types, such as Steelix, Klinklang, Ferroseed, and other Silvally-Steel, which would otherwise wall it. Toxic allows Silvally-Steel to badly poison bulky Water-, Fairy-, and Fire-types like Slowbro, Slowking, Diancie, Comfey, and Incineroar. Multi-Attack can be used instead of Toxic so Silvally-Steel poses an immediate offensive threat to Fairy-types like Diancie and Comfey. U-turn lets Silvally-Steel pivot out of unfavorable matchups. Alternatively, Parting Shot also lowers the foe's Attack and Special Attack at the cost of being blocked by Xatu and giving Braviary an Attack boost thanks to its ability, Defiant.

Set Details
========

60 Speed EVs allow Silvally-Steel to outspeed maximum Speed Incineroar, while 232 HP EVs and 216 Special Defense EVs with a Calm nature maximize its special bulk. An alternative EV spread of 200 HP / 252 SpD / 56 Spe with a Timid nature lets Silvally-Steel outspeed maximum Speed Decidueye at the cost of some bulk. RKS System is Silvally-Steel's only ability and lets Silvally become Silvally-Steel with the help of a Steel Memory.

Usage Tips
========

Silvally-Steel should be switched into Pokemon that it can reliably check, such as Vanilluxe, Diancie, Whimsicott, and Vivillon. However, be cautious of haphazardly switching Silvally-Steel in, as its lack of recovery means it will get worn down easily. Silvally-Steel must also be wary of switching into coverage moves like Hidden Power Ground from Vanilluxe, Earth Power from Diancie, and Focus Blast from Sceptile. Look to remove entry hazards off the field with Defog as quickly as possible, as they will further wear down Silvally-Steel. However, be cautious when using Defog and Parting Shot if the opponent has a Braviary because both moves will give it an Attack boost thanks to its ability, Defiant. Use Toxic on common switch-ins to Silvally-Steel such as Slowbro and Incineroar as they switch in, as Silvally-Steel can easily pivot out afterwards with either U-turn or Parting Shot.

Team Options
========

Due to Silvally-Steel's lack of reliable recovery, Wish users like Mega Audino and Vaporeon are excellent partners. Furthermore, Vaporeon appreciates Silvally-Steel's ability to pivot into Grass-types like Whimsicott and Dhelmise, while Silvally-Steel enjoys Vaporeon checking Fire- and Ground-types, such as Delphox, Steelix, and Piloswine. Wallbreakers like Decidueye, Sneasel, Medicham, and Dhelmise fit well alongside Silvally-Steel, as Silvally-Steel can use either Parting Shot or U-turn to bring them in. Fighting-type Pokemon like Passimian, Hariyama, and Scrafty appreciate Silvally-Steel checking Fairy-, Psychic-, and Flying-type Pokemon like Whimsicott, Comfey, Sigilyph, and Vivillon. Passimian in particular is a great partner, as it can form a pivoting core with Silvally-Steel. Stealth Rock setters like Diancie, Rhydon, and Palossand work well alongside Silvally-Steel. Diancie and Rhydon check threatening Fire-types like Incineroar and Magmortar, while Palossand beats Fighting-types like Passimian and Medicham. In return, Silvally-Steel deals with problematic Grass-types like Decidueye and Whimsicott for them. Because of Silvally-Steel's weakness to common Ground-types like Rhydon and Palossand, Pokemon such as Rotom, Whimsicott, and Torterra work well alongside Silvally-Steel, being able to take Ground-type attacks aimed its way with ease. Torterra in particular has good defensive synergy with Silvally-Steel and appreciates its ability to take Ice- and Flying-type moves.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Silvally-Steel has many interesting coverage options at its disposal, such as Thunderbolt and Ice Beam, but it has trouble justifying their use over its utility moves. Iron Head and Flash Cannon are viable alternatives to Multi-Attack; Iron Head possesses a 30% chance to flinch the foe, while Flash Cannon does more damage to physically defensive Diancie. However, the extra power from Multi-Attack and insurance it provides against Calm Mind Comfey makes it the better pick. Thunder Wave lets Silvally-Steel paralyze faster Pokemon like Vanilluxe and Whimsicott, but Silvally-Steel relies heavily on Toxic to cripple Slowbro and Incineroar and thus struggles to fit Thunder Wave in its moveset.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Braviary**: Braviary comes in for free on Defog and Parting Shot and gets an Attack boost from Defiant. Additionally, Braviary can set up easily on Silvally-Steel with Substitute, as Flamethrower will not break its Substitute.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types like Passimian, Medicham, and Scrafty take little damage from Flamethrower and threaten to OHKO Silvally-Steel with super effective STAB Fighting-type moves.

**Ground-types**: Steelix, Rhydon, and Piloswine all OHKO or 2HKO Silvally-Steel with Earthquake, although Steelix doesn't appreciate taking a Flamethrower, while Rhydon and Piloswine do not like being badly poisoned by Toxic.

**Fire-types**: Incineroar, Delphox, Houndoom, and Magmortar all switch in easily on Flamethrower and OHKO Silvally-Steel with their Fire-type moves, but none of them want to be badly poisoned.

**Taunt Users**: Mismagius and Golbat both outspeed Silvally-Steel and can shut it down with Taunt. Mismagius can proceed to set up with Nasty Plot, while Golbat can freely use Super Fang or Roost.

Overview:
You need to explain why Steelvally’s mono-Steel typing is helpful for balanced teams, be mors specific as to how its typing and its pivoting properties are particularly great for balanced teams.
You could also try to show how Steelvally is consistently a better defogger than other Silvally formes, and why.
Sceptile is not that much of a common wallbreaker, so you might want to use another example as it’s not as relevant.

As for C&C, I don’t feel very stronlgy about having a whole section for coverage moves; it doesn’t feel right.
This looks good QC 1/3

implemented I think, should be ready for 2nd check

Good stuff, not a whole lot to say other then whats listed in the check!
* Alternatively, U-turn can be used to gain extra chip damage against Pokemon like Incineroar, Slowbro, and Slowking while also not risking giving Braviary an Attack boost from its ability Defiant.
Also mention it means you can pivot against Xatu. The chip on the Slowbrothers doesn't matter because they just regen it off, and the damage on Incineroar isn't even noteworthy. Its purely for being less abusable so I'd just drop the chip part.

* Silvally-Steel should be pivoted into Pokemon that it can check, such as Vanilluxe, Diancie, Sceptile, and Vivillon.
Sceptile either runs EQ and Focus Blast for it. Swap with a different grass like Whimsicott.

* Fighting-type Pokemon like Passimian, Hariyama, and Scrafty appreciate Silvally-Steel checking Fairy-, Psychic, and Flying-type Pokemon like Comfey, Sigilyph, and Vivillon for them. Passimian in particular is a great partner, as it can form a pivoting core with Silvally-Steel.
We have more relevant fairy in Whims, so replace Comfey for it. (Comfey also runs HP fire so its even worse of an example.)

* Iron Head and Flash Cannon are viable STAB alternatives to Multi-Attack, with Iron Head possessing a 30% chance to flinch the opposing Pokemon.
Explain why they're worse options.

**Taunt Users**: Comfey and Golbat both outspeed Silvally-Steel and can shut it down with Taunt, although Comfey must be careful of variants of Silvally-Steel carrying Multi-Attack or another Steel-type move.
Replace Comfey with Mismagius as it doesn't fear the Steel STAB

Silvally-Steel serves as a great pick on balanced teams thanks to its Steel-typing and access to both pivoting moves, such as Parting Shot and U-turn, and Defog. This phrasing is really awkward, maybe say due to its access to pivoting moves in Parting Shot and U-Turn as well as hazard removal in Defog? Silvally-Steel's typing lets it check common wallbreakers, such as Vanilluxe, Diancie, Sneasel, and Whimsicott, which all give less defensively oriented builds trouble. Furthermore, Silvally-Steel does not have access to a reliable recovery move, further hampering its staying power I'd change this more to that its easily worn down, what with it switching in 500 times per match. Silvally-Steel is also weak to common types in Fire, Ground, and Fighting, giving it a poor matchup against meta staples like Incineroar, Passimian, Steelix, and Medicham Replace Lix with Rhydon, as it can at least Flamethrower Lix, while Rhydon legit laughs at it's mere existence.

Defog lets Silvally-Steel clear entry hazards from the field. Flamethrower gives Silvally-Steel the means to threaten opposing Steel-types, such as Steelix, Klinklang, Ferroseed, and other Silvally-Steel, which would otherwise wall it. Toxic allows Silvally-Steel to badly poison bulky Water-, Fairy-, and Fire-types like Slowbro, Incineroar, Diancie, Slowking, and Comfey. (reorganize this list so the Pokemon match the order the types where mentioned in) Multi-Attack can be used instead of Toxic so that Silvally-Steel poses an immediate offensive threat to Fairy-types like Diancie and Comfey. Parting Shot lets Silvally-Steel pivot out of unfavorable matchups and lowers both the opposing Pokemon's Attack and Special Attack by one stage. Alternatively, U-turn lets Silvally-Steel pivot out against Xatu and does not give Braviary an Attack boost from Defiant.

Set Details
========

60 Speed EVs allow Silvally-Steel to outspeed maximum Speed Incineroar, while 232 HP EVs and 216 Special Defense EVs with a Calm nature maximize its special bulk and hit a jump point in Special Defense. An alternative EV spread of 200 HP / 252 SpD / 56 Spe with a Timid nature lets Silvally-Steel outspeed maximum Speed Decidueye at the cost of some bulk. A Steel Memory turns Silvally into Silvally-Steel. RKS System is Silvally-Steel's only ability and lets Silvally become Silvally-Steel with the help of a Steel Memory.

Usage Tips
========

Look to Defog entry hazards from off the field as quickly as possible, as they will further contribute to the wearing down of Silvally-Steel. However, be cautious when using Defog and Parting Shot if the opponent has a Braviary because both moves will give it an Attack boost thanks to its ability, (AC) Defiant. Use Toxic on common switch-ins to Silvally-Steel, such as Slowbro and Incineroar, as they switch in, as Silvally-Steel can easily pivot out afterwards with either Parting Shot or U-turn.

Team Options
========

Due to Silvally-Steel's lack of reliable recovery, Wish users like Mega Audino and Vaporeon are excellent partners. Furthermore, Vaporeon appreciates Silvally-Steel's ability to pivot into Grass-types like Whimsicott and Dhelmise, while Silvally-Steel enjoys Vaporeon checking Fire- and Ground-types, such as Steelix, Piloswine, and Delphox (list Delphox first here). Wallbreakers like Decidueye, Sneasel, Medicham, and Dhelmise fit well alongside Silvally-Steel, as Silvally-Steel can use either Parting Shot or U-turn to pivot into them bring them in. Additionally In return, Silvally-Steel deals with problematic Grass-types like Decidueye and Whimsicott for them. Because of Silvally-Steel's weakness to common Ground-types like Rhydon and Palossand, Pokemon such as Rotom, Whimsicott, and Torterra work well alongside Silvally-Steel, being able to take Ground-type attacks aimed its way with ease. Torterra in specific particular has good defensive synergy with Silvally-Steel and appreciates its ability to take Ice- and Flying-type moves aimed its way. (nitpick, but you ended the previous sentence the same way)

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Silvally-Steel has many interesting coverage options at its disposal, such as Thunderbolt and Ice Beam. However, Silvally-Steel , but it has trouble justifying their use over its utility moves. Iron Head and Flash Cannon are viable STAB alternatives to Multi-Attack, ('STAB' can't be used alone, so I would just remove it as it's common knowledge that they receive STAB bonus) with Iron Head possessing a 30% chance to flinch the foe (what about Flash Cannon?).

===================

**Braviary**: Braviary comes in for free on Defog and Parting Shot and gets an Attack boost from its ability Defiant. (previously mentioned Defiant was its ability) Additionally, Braviary with Substitute can set up easily on Silvally-Steel with Substitute, as Flamethrower will not break their its Substitute. (smoother flow)

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types like Passimian, Medicham, and Scrafty take little damage from Flamethrower and threaten to OHKO back with super effective STAB Fighting-type moves.

**Ground-types**: Steelix, Rhydon, and Piloswine all OHKO or 2HKO Silvally-Steel with Earthquake, although Steelix doesn't appreciate taking a Flamethrower nor do while Rhydon and Piloswine do not like being badly poisoned by Toxic.

**Fire-types**: Incineroar, Delphox, Houndoom, and Magmortar all switch in easily on Flamethrower and OHKO back with their Fire-type moves, but none of them want to be badly poisoned.

**Taunt Users**: Mismagius and Golbat both outspeed Silvally-Steel and can shut it down with Taunt, while and Mismagius can proceed to set up with Nasty Plot.
Just to respond to one of your comments, I didn’t mention anything too specific about Flash Cannon since the goal of bringing it up was just to say it’s a viable alternative to Multi-Attack. I could mention it hitting physically defensive Diancie harder? Seems like a good idea just for consistency’s sake.

[OVERVIEW]

Silvally-Steel serves as a great pick on balanced teams thanks to its Steel-typing (remove hyphen) and access to pivoting moves, such as Parting Shot and U-turn, as well as hazard removal in (mentioned in 3rd QC check) Defog. Silvally-Steel's typing lets it check common wallbreakers, such as Vanilluxe, Diancie, Sneasel, and Whimsicott, which all give less defensively oriented builds trouble. Additionally, its Silvally-Steel's typing allows Silvally-Steel it to Defog easily against common Grass-, Fairy-, and Poison-type Pokemon like defensive Decidueye, Garbodor, Comfey, and Vileplume (if not all these Pokemon are defensive, make Decidueye last to remove ambiguity). Access to both Parting Shot and U-turn lets Silvally-Steel function as a pivot and allows it to safely switch bring in either threatening wallbreakers like Incineroar, Sneasel, and Medicham or other defensive Pokemon like Slowbro, Diancie, Xatu, and Vaporeon. Silvally-Steel also has a respectable base 95 Speed of 95, letting it outspeed prominent wallbreakers like Incineroar and Decidueye without needing to invest too heavily into its Speed.(period) and thus hurting its ability to function as a defensive pivot. (personally, this just sounds like fluff & I would remove it or change the wording of the sentence to improve the flow of the sentence) Unfortunately, Silvally-Steel's ability mandates that it holds a Steel Memory to turn into Silvally-Steel, meaning it cannot hold a more useful item to increase its longevity like Leftovers or a pinch Berry. Furthermore, Silvally-Steel does not have access to a reliable recovery move, making it easy to wear down. Silvally-Steel is also weak to common types in Fire, Ground, and Fighting, giving it a poor matchup against metagame staples like Incineroar, Passimian, Medicham, and Rhydon. (nitpicky but you mentioned Ground-types before Fighting-types, so make Rhydon second)

implemented most of this. fwiw it's balanced teams not balance teams - talked to cake about that one since I recalled seeing that talked about on a previous thread. you'd have to ask him for the talk about it though because that's the only part I remember lol

Access to both Parting Shot and U-turn lets let Silvally-Steel function as a pivot and allows allow it to safely bring in either threatening wallbreakers like Incineroar, Sneasel, and Medicham or other defensive Pokemon like Slowbro, Diancie, Xatu, and Vaporeon.

Moves
========

Set Details
========

60 Speed EVs allow Silvally-Steel to outspeed maximum Speed Incineroar, while 232 HP EVs and 216 Special Defense EVs with a Calm nature maximize its special bulk and optimize Special Defense. (redundant) An alternative EV spread of 200 HP / 252 SpD / 56 Spe with a Timid nature lets Silvally-Steel outspeed maximum Speed Decidueye at the cost of some bulk. RKS System is Silvally-Steel's only ability and lets Silvally become Silvally-Steel with the help of a Steel Memory.

Usage Tips
========

Use Toxic on common switch-ins to Silvally-Steel, (RC) such as Slowbro and Incineroar, (RC) as they switch in, as Silvally-Steel can easily pivot out afterwards with either U-turn or Parting Shot.

Team Options
========

=============

Silvally-Steel has many interesting coverage options at its disposal, such as Thunderbolt and Ice Beam, but it has trouble justifying their use over its utility moves. Iron Head and Flash Cannon are viable alternatives to Multi-Attack, with Iron Head possessing Multi-Attack; Iron Head possesses a 30% chance to flinch the foe, while Flash Cannon does more damage to physically defensive Diancie.

===================

**Braviary**: Braviary comes in for free on Defog and Parting Shot and gets an Attack boost from Defiant. Additionally, Braviary can set up easily on Silvally-Steel with Substitute, as Flamethrower will not break its Substitute.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types like Passimian, Medicham, and Scrafty take little damage from Flamethrower and threaten to OHKO back Silvally-Steel with super effective STAB Fighting-type moves.

**Fire-types**: Incineroar, Delphox, Houndoom, and Magmortar all switch in easily on Flamethrower and OHKO back Silvally-Steel with their Fire-type moves, but none of them want to be badly poisoned.

**Taunt Users**: Mismagius and Golbat both outspeed Silvally-Steel and can shut it down with Taunt. Mismagius can proceed to set up with Nasty Plot, while Golbat can freely use Super Fang or Roost.
