[OVERVIEW]

Simipour carves itself a niche in PU by being a fast Water-type with immediate offensive pressure thanks to its high Speed, good Special Attack, ability to boost with Nasty Plot, and unresisted coverage in one moveset. However, Simipour is very frail, so it rarely gets the opportunity to set up. Additionally, Simipour may have a good Speed tier, but it is still prone to being revenge killed by faster threats such as Scyther, Lycanroc, and Alolan Raichu. Simipour faces stiff competition as a Nasty Plot sweeper from the likes of Alolan Raichu, Jynx, and Simisear. Alolan Raichu is faster, while Jynx's Substitute and Lovely Kiss give it more opportunities to set up. Simisear virtually does the same thing that Simipour does except it has a better matchup against Grass-types such as Lilligant, Bellossom, and Roselia, while the entire tier has a difficult time switching directly into it. However, Simipour is not weak to Stealth Rock and has a much easier time setting up against Pokemon like Regirock, Aggron, and Mudsdale on forced switches. Simipour also has to compete with its fellow Water-types such as Jellicent, Omastar, and Floatzel. Jellicent is immediately stronger, is bulkier, has access to Trick, has dual STAB, and can spinblock; Omastar is a better late-game sweeper with Shell Smash and can set up entry hazards; Floatzel is faster, has Aqua Jet, and can bluff a physical set.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Ice Beam is Simipour's best coverage move to nail Grass- and Dragon-types such as Lilligant, Bellossom, and Altaria. Grass Knot gives Simipour an option to hit its fellow Water-types such as Jellicent and Gastrodon for a large amount of damage.

Set Details
========

Waterium Z lets Simipour use Hydro Vortex, which can dent specially defensive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Articuno, and Eelektross at +2 while not having Hydro Pump's shaky accuracy.

Usage Tips
========

Simipour can potentially wallbreak early- to mid-game to soften up its potential checks for itself and its team. Afterwards, if Simipour is still around and faster Pokemon have been removed from the battle, it can set up and sweep late-game. Because of its poor bulk, try to get Simipour into battle either with the help of a slow pivot such as Lanturn or Eelektross or after one of its teammates has been knocked out, as both of these options are safe and don't require Simipour to take a hit. Before setting up, make sure that any Pokemon that can potentially outspeed and revenge kill Simipour is properly taken care of. Simipour can safely set up with Nasty Plot by threatening out a slower, more passive Pokemon such as Regirock, Gastrodon, or Quagsire with its powerful moves. Try to conserve Simipour's Z-Move for its intended target, ideally a specially defensive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Eelektross, or Assault Vest Hitmonchan. Hydro Vortex can also threaten Skuntank and Rotom-F in one-on-one situations where it cannot set up.

Team Options
========

Simipour loves the support of pivots. Fast ones such as Primeape, Scyther, and Swanna can threaten out foes such as Lilligant, Skuntank, and Alolan Raichu for Simipour thanks to their power, while slow ones like Eelektross, Type: Null, and Lanturn can take a hit for Simipour and safely bring it into battle. Simipour can also dent Pokemon like Quagsire, Gastrodon, and Regirock for these teammates as well. Alolan Persian can also be beneficial, as Parting Shot gives Simipour better opportunities to set up and sweep, and it can check fast offensive threats such as Dodrio and Alolan Raichu for Simipour. Whether it's from Knock Off users such as Eelektross, Shiftry, and Gurdurr to threaten Choice Scarf users, or Thunder Wave support from Mesprit and Clefairy, Simipour appreciates the Speed control these Pokemon provide. Clefairy can also provide Stealth Rock to make Simipour's sweep easier, while Mesprit can provide Stealth Rock, Healing Wish support, and a slow U-turn. Knock Off users also help Simipour's sweep by removing items from bulkier Pokemon such as Type: Null, Eelektross, and Hitmonchan. Physical wallbreakers such as Stoutland and Kangaskhan can help Simipour break specially defensive Pokemon or even KO them like Type: Null, Eelektross, and Clefairy. In return, Simipour can help these Pokemon by getting rid of physically defensive Pokemon such as Regirock, Aggron, and Mudsdale. Entry hazard setters such as Froslass, Regirock, and Mudsdale make Simipour's time sweeping much easier. Simipour also appreciates partners such as Skuntank, Dodrio, and Oricorio-G that can help keep Grass-type Pokemon in check.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Simipour can run Focus Blast with Fightinium Z on the main set to potentially lure in and dispatch of Pokemon such as Type: Null, Audino, and Abomasnow on the switch. Icium Z can also be used instead of Waterium Z to reliably deal with Grass-types such as Lilligant, Ludicolo, and Roselia. However, Waterium Z covers a much wider range of targets for neutral damage and bypasses Hydro Pump's low accuracy. Simipour can also run a mixed set with a Naive nature, Life Orb, a spread of 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe, and Hydro Pump / Ice Beam / Superpower / Knock Off so that it can potentially cripple defensive checks such as Clefairy and Type: Null with Knock Off. However, its Nasty Plot set is more efficient at wallbreaking and doesn't get worn down more quickly from by Life Orb. A set utilizing Salac Berry, Gluttony, and Substitute can potentially work seeing as Substitute gives Simipour a safety net to set up Nasty Plot by letting it work around Sucker Punch and can potentially outspeed faster threats with Salac Berry activating. However, this set not only requires Simipour to give up a coverage move for Substitute and Waterium Z, but it also gives Simipour only one chance to sweep and is very hard to pull off successfully. Simipour can also run a Choice Specs or Choice Scarf set to grant it immediate power or Speed, but its Nasty Plot set is better at wallbreaking, and Simipour lacks a useful pivoting move like U-turn to make full use of Choice Scarf.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Threats**: Simipour's Speed isn't bad by any means, but it is still prone to being outsped and revenge killed by Pokemon such as Dodrio, Lycanroc, Alolan Dugtrio, and especially Alolan Raichu thanks to Simipour's low bulk. Choice Scarf users such as Primeape, Swanna, and Manectric also can threaten Simipour out of the battle.

**Priority**: While it does resist Aqua Jet from Kabutops and Floatzel, Simipour still has to be cautious of other priority moves stopping its sweep because of its poor defenses, such as Sucker Punch from Skuntank, Kangaskhan, and Spiritomb, and Fake Out from Kangaskhan.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Certain defensive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Hitmonchan, and Type: Null can stomach a hit from any of Simipour's moves, heal the damage done, and potentially threaten it out of the match. However, Simipour can severely dent these Pokemon if it still has its Z-Move.

**art by me. Hopefully, this doesn't get unranked while QC'ing this. Lol.**

[OVERVIEW]
  • Simipour carves itself a niche in PU by being a fast Water-type with immediate offensive pressure.
  • It achieves this thanks to its high Speed, good Special Attack, ability to boost with Nasty Plot, and unresisted coverage in one moveset. (i feel like these two bullets should be one considering that the second one completes the thought established in the first one.)
  • However, Simipour is very frail, so it rarely gets the opportunity to set up.
  • Simipour may have a good Speed tier, but it is still prone to being revenge-killed by faster threats such as Scyther, Lycanroc, and Alolan Raichu.
  • Simipour faces stiff competition as a Nasty Plot sweeper from the likes of Alolan Raichu and Jynx. While both have dual STAB, Alolan Raichu is faster while Jynx's Dry Skin ability and Lovely Kiss give it more opportunities to set up.
  • Simipour also has to compete with its fellow Water-types such as Jellicent, Omastar, and Floatzel. Floatzel is faster and can bluff a physical set, Jellicent is immediately stronger, bulkier, and has dual STAB, while Omastar is a better late-game sweeper with Shell Smash. All of these Pokemon also have stronger utility options such as Trick, Switcheroo, Aqua Jet, Will-O-Wisp, spinblocking, Water Absorb, and the ability to set entry hazards.
I think that what makes Simipour stand out from Simisear (not being weak to Stealth Rock, being able to more easily break through certain balance staples like Regirock) should be emphasized more considering that one is B+, the other is D, and both serve very similar purposes.

[SET]
name: Nasty Plot
move 1: Hydro Pump
move 2: Ice Beam
move 3: Grass Knot
move 4: Nasty Plot (why isn't this the first move if the set is called "nasty plot"?)
item: Waterium Z
ability: Torrent
nature: Timid
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
  • Hydro Pump is Simipour's strongest STAB move, which alongside Waterium Z can potentially blow past defensive checks to Simipour such as Clefairy, Hitmonchan, and Eelektross at +2.
  • Ice Beam is Simipour's best coverage move to nail Grass-type checks such as Lilligant, Roselia, and Bellossom. It also allows Simipour to get around other Pokemon that resist its Water-STAB such as Altaria and Drampa.
  • Grass Knot gives Simipour an option to hit its fellow Water-types such as Jellicent, Gastrodon, Lanturn, and Omastar (quagsire should be mentioned here, since HV only has a 30% or so chance to OHKO from full and that means you wasted your z-move.) for a large amount of damage.
  • Nasty Plot can turn Simipour into a dangerous wallbreaker, especially with a Z-move.
What was struck through is obvious information that doesn't need to be stated.

Set Details
========
  • With Maximum Special Attack and Speed investment and a Timid Nature, Simipour is as strong and fast as it can be.
  • Waterium Z can make a Hydro Vortex that can dent specially defensive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Articuno, and Eelektross at +2. (not having to risk missing hydro pump is also notable.)
  • Torrent is the preferred ability for this set as Hydro Pump is powered up when Simipour's health is low. This can help Simipour nab a KO it couldn't otherwise get before, such as Clefairy with Hydro Vortex.
Usage Tips
========
  • Because of its poor bulk, try to get Simipour into battle either with the help of a pivot such as Primeape or Eelektross or after one of its teammates has been knocked out, as both of these options are safe and don't require Simipour to take a hit.
  • Before setting up, make sure that any Pokemon that can potentially outspeed and revenge kill Simipour is properly taken care of.
  • Simipour can safely set up with Nasty Plot by threatening out a slower Pokemon such as Oricorio-G, Gastrodon, or Haunter with its coverage moves.
  • Try to conserve Simipour's Z-move for its intended target. This is especially important for breaking past specially defensive Pokemon.
  • Simipour can also potentially wallbreak early- to mid-game to soften up its potential checks for itself and its team. Afterwards, if Simipour is still around and faster Pokemon have been decommissioned from the battle, then it can set up and sweep late-game.
Team Options
========
  • Simipour loves the support of pivots. Fast ones such as Primeape, Scyther, and Oricorio-E (i'm not keeping up much with the current meta, so correct me if i'm wrong, but only choice scarf oricorio-e runs u-turn and that's nowhere near as common as its cm set. something like eelektross could be mentioned in place of it.) can threaten out opponents for Simipour thanks to their power, while slow ones like Eelektross and Lanturn can take a hit for Simipour and safely bring it into battle. Alolan Persian can also be beneficial, as Parting Shot gives Simipour better opportunities to sweep. (can offensively check fast threats like dodrio and alolan raichu for simipour, too.)
  • Whether it's from Knock Off users such as Gurdurr, Eelektross, or Kangaskhan (kangaskhan doesn't learn knock off.) to threaten Choice Scarf holders, or Thunder Wave support from Mesprit, Regirock, or Liepard, Simipour appreciates the speed control these Pokemon provide.
  • Physical wallbreakers such as Gurdurr, (i mean, it does sorta wallbreak, but i sorta view it as more of a setup sweeper, idk.) Stoutland, and Kangaskhan can help Simipour break specially defensive Pokemon or even KO them. In return Simipour can help these Pokemon by getting rid of physically defensive Pokemon.
  • Hazard setters such as Froslass, Omastar, (omastar's sort of a weird example, since it's basically stacking weaknesses.) and Regirock make Simipour's time sweeping much easier.
  • Ground-types such as Alolan Dugtrio and Mudsdale make good partners because they can help check Alolan Raichu for Simipour. In return, Simipour can help check Water- and Grass-types for these Pokemon. (i wouldn't be using my water-type to check grass-types, even if you do outspeed the majority of them, since ice beam doesn't OHKO any of them from full.)
  • Checks to Grass-types could probably be mentioned somewhere.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Simipour can run Focus Blast with Fightinium Zon the main set to potentially lure in and dispatch of Pokemon such as Type: Null, Audino, and Abomasnow on the switch. However, Simipour's other coverage moves also accomplish this with better accuracy.
  • Simipour can also run a mixed set with a Naive nature, 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe, and Hydro Pump / Ice Beam / Superpower / Knock Off so that it can potentially cripple defensive checks such as Clefairy and Pyukumuku with Knock Off. However, its Z-move breaker set is more efficient at catching its would-be checks off guard and Life Orb wears it down more.
  • A set utilizing Salac Berry, Gluttony, and Substitute can potentially work seeing as Substitute gives Simipour a safety net to set up Nasty Plot by making it working around Sucker Punch and can potentially outspeed faster threats with Salac Berry activating. However, this set not only requires Simipour to give up a coverage move for Substitute, it also only gives Simipour only one chance to sweep.
  • Icium Z maybe? Niche, but reliably dealing with Grass-types is nice.
Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Threats**: Simipour's Speed isn't bad by any means, but it is still prone to being outsped and revenge killed by Pokemon such as Dodrio, Lycanroc, Alolan Dugtrio, and especially Alolan Raichu. Choice Scarf users such as Primeape, Scyther, and Lilligant also can threaten Simipour out of the battle.

**Prioirty**: While it does resist Aqua Jet from Kabutops and Floatzel, Simipour still has to be cautious of other priority moves from stopping its sweep, such as Sucker Punch from Skuntank, Kangaskhan, and Spiritomb, and Accelerock from Lycanroc. (kanga's fake out should be listed too.) (also, why would lycan use accelerock vs you unless it really doesn't want to miss and it's a late-game situation?) (also^2, isn't sucker punch more common on it now?)

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Certain defensive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Hitmonchan, and Type: Null can stomach a hit from any of Simipour's moves and potentially threaten it out of the match. However, Simipour can severely dent or OHKO these Pokemon if it still has its Z-move. Pyukumuku is the best counter to Simipour, as it isn't bothered by any of its moves and can recover the damage off. Pyukumuku can't really do anything to Simipour outside of Toxic, however.

Just a couple of things I noticed. Not an official QC check, since I am very much a fossil now, so don't implement anything until a QC member says something.

Thank you still, allstarapology. I went ahead and implemented the check. I know you're not an official QC member and you advised me to wait until a QC Member checked it, but I still trust AM checks. Besides, you had some valid points on the checks, such as a comparison to Simisear.

  • Waterium Z can make a Hydro Vortex that can dent specially defensive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Articuno, and Eelektross at +2 while not having to worry about missing with Hydro Pump.
Usage Tips
========
  • Because of its poor bulk, try to get Simipour into battle either with the help of a pivot such as Primeape or Eelektross or after one of its teammates has been knocked out, as both of these options are safe and don't require Simipour to take a hit.

  • Simipour can safely set up with Nasty Plot by threatening out a slower Pokemon such as Oricorio-G, Gastrodon, or Haunter with its coverage moves (maybe reorder this to passive targets -> mons threatened out since ori-g and haunter are quite risky and not rly safe setup targets, so forcing them out should be specified. scarf haunter especially since it can stay in on np)
  • Try to conserve Simipour's Z-move for its intended target. This is especially important for breaking past specially defensive Pokemon (such as?) (note when it can be used without boosts in order to break past foes like rotom-f and skuntank one-on-one where it can't safely set up)

  • Simipour loves the support of pivots. Fast ones such as Primeape, Scyther, and Oricorio-G (pivot ori-g is rly uncommon and not very viable) can threaten out opponents for Simipour thanks to their power, while slow ones like Eelektross and Lanturn can take a hit for Simipour and safely bring it into battle (mention which pivots can lure setup targets. primeape can force smth like mudsdale in, type null could be mentioned since it baits stuff like aggron and sableye). Alolan Persian can also be beneficial, as Parting Shot gives Simipour better opportunities to sweep and can check fast offensive threats such as Dodrio and Alolan Raichu for Simipour.
  • Whether it's from Knock Off users such as Eelektross or Spiritomb (this doesn't learn knock off) to threaten Choice Scarf holders (knock off also removes eviolite/av against bulky switch-ins), or Thunder Wave support from Mesprit, Regirock, or Liepard, Simipour appreciates the speed control these Pokemon provide.
  • Physical wallbreakers such as Stoutland and Kangaskhan can help Simipour break specially defensive Pokemon or even KO them. In return Simipour can help these Pokemon by getting rid of physically defensive Pokemon (examples...)
  • Hazard setters such as Froslass and Regirock make Simipour's time sweeping much easier.
  • Ground-types such as Alolan Dugtrio and Mudsdale make good partners because they can help check Alolan Raichu (duggy speed ties and mudsdale falls to grass knot/z-psychic. would probably put mudsdale under hazard setters anyway) for Simipour. In return, Simipour can help check Water- and Grass-types for these Pokemon.
  • Simipour also appreciates partners that can help keep Grass-type Pokemon in check such as Skuntank, Dodrio, and Oricorio-G (include things that check electrics too).

  • Icium Z can also be used instead of Waterium Z to reliably deal with Grass-types such as Liligant (Lilligant), Tangela, and Roselia (group this with fight z and make the section about alternative z crystals)
  • Simipour can also run a mixed set with a Naive nature, 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe, and Hydro Pump / Ice Beam / Superpower / Knock Off so that it can potentially cripple defensive checks such as Clefairy and Pyukumuku (different example here, pyuku is like c- on the vr and hasn't been relevant since pre-quag meta) with Knock Off. However, its Z-move breaker set is more efficient at catching its would-be checks off guard and Life Orb wears it down more (you didn't mention life orb as part of the set in the previous sentence, be sure to add that. alternatively you could just mention life orb as its own oo if another team member has a z user).
  • A set utilizing Salac Berry, Gluttony, and Substitute can potentially work seeing as Substitute gives Simipour a safety net to set up Nasty Plot by making it working around Sucker Punch and can potentially outspeed faster threats with Salac Berry activating. apologies for not being specific enough but the bit about eviolite and av should be its own sentence. how this is worded rn implies that eviolite and assault vest affect speed, but it's for weakening switch-ins to simipour.

Moves
========
  • Ice Beam is Simipour's best coverage move to nail Grass-type checks such as Lilligant, Roselia, and Bellossom. It also allows Simipour to get around other Pokemon that resist its Water-STAB such as Altaria and Drampa.(just say grass- and dragon-types like a, b, and c)

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========
  • Because of its poor bulk, try to get Simipour into battle either with the help of a pivot such as Primeape (ape wont get it in that safely since it often uturns before the foe attacks, specify and talk about slow pivots)or Eelektross or after one of its teammates has been knocked out, as both of these options are safe and don't require Simipour to take a hit.
  • Before setting up, make sure that any Pokemon that can potentially outspeed and revenge kill Simipour is properly taken care of.
  • Simipour can safely set up with Nasty Plot by threatening out a slower, more passive Pokemon such as Regirock, Gastrodon, or Quagsire with its powerful moves.
  • Try to conserve Simipour's Z-move for its intended target, ideally specially defensive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Eelektross, and Assault Vest Hitmonchan. Hydro Vortex can also OHKO Skuntank and Rotom-F in one-on-one situations where it cannot set up.
  • Simipour can also potentially wallbreak early- to mid-game to soften up its potential checks for itself and its team. Afterwards, if Simipour is still around and faster Pokemon have been removed from the battle, then it can set up and sweep late-game.
Team Options
========
  • Simipour loves the support of pivots. Fast ones such as Primeape, Scyther, and Swanna can threaten out opponents for Simipour thanks to their power, while slow ones like Eelektross, Type: Null, and Lanturn can take a hit for Simipour and safely bring it into battle. Alolan Persian can also be beneficial, as Parting Shot gives Simipour better opportunities to sweep and can check fast offensive threats such as Dodrio and Alolan Raichu for Simipour.
  • Whether it's from Knock Off users such as Eelektross, Shiftry, or Gurdurr to threaten Choice Scarf users, or Thunder Wave support from Mesprit, Regirock, (regi doesnt run twave, say something like clef instead)or Liepard, (liepard only runs twave on weather teams, remove)Simipour appreciates the speed control these Pokemon provide. Knock Off users also help Simipour's sweep by removing items from bulkier Pokemon such as Leftovers, Eviolite, and Assault Vest.
  • Physical wallbreakers such as Stoutland and Kangaskhan can help Simipour break specially defensive Pokemon or even KO them like Type: Null, Eelektross, and Clefairy. In return Simipour can help these Pokemon by getting rid of physically defensive Pokemon such as Regirock, Aggron, and Mudsdale.
  • Hazard setters such as Froslass, Regirock, and Mudsdale make Simipour's time sweeping much easier.
  • Pokemon that can reliably check Electric-type Pokemon such as Alolan Dugtrio, Manectric, and Lanturn make good partners for Simipour.(electric types in general arent really threats to simipour, just mons like raichu and lanturn happen to check it, so remove)
  • Simipour also appreciates partners that can help keep Grass-type Pokemon in check such as Skuntank, Dodrio, and Oricorio-G.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Simipour can run Focus Blast with Fightinium Z on the main set to potentially lure in and dispatch of Pokemon such as Type: Null, Audino, and Abomasnow on the switch. Icium Z can also be used instead of Waterium Z to reliably deal with Grass-types such as Lilligant, Tangela, and Roselia. However, Waterium Z covers a much wider range of targets for neutral damage(and helps with hydro pump's accuracy)
  • Simipour can also run a mixed set with a Naive nature, Life Orb, 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe, and Hydro Pump / Ice Beam / Superpower / Knock Off so that it can potentially cripple defensive checks such as Clefairy and Type: Null with Knock Off. However, its Z-move breaker set (just say nasty plot)is more efficient at catching its would-be checks off guard (that isnt really the main idea of the set)and Life Orb wears it down more.
  • A set utilizing Salac Berry, Gluttony, and Substitute can potentially work seeing as Substitute gives Simipour a safety net to set up Nasty Plot by making it working around Sucker Punch and can potentially outspeed faster threats with Salac Berry activating. However, this set not only requires Simipour to give up a coverage move for Substitute and Waterium Z, but it also only gives Simipour only one chance to sweep.(and can be hard to pull off)
Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Threats**: Simipour's Speed isn't bad by any means, but it is still prone to being outsped and revenge killed by Pokemon such as Dodrio, Lycanroc, Alolan Dugtrio, and especially Alolan Raichu.(why especially?) Choice Scarf users such as Primeape, Swanna, and Lilligant also can threaten Simipour out of the battle.

**Priority**: While it does resist Aqua Jet from Kabutops and Floatzel, Simipour still has to be cautious of other priority moves from stopping its sweep because of its poor defenses, such as Sucker Punch from Skuntank, Kangaskhan, and Spiritomb, and Fake Out from Kangaskhan.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Certain defensive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Hitmonchan, and Type: Null can stomach a hit from any of Simipour's moves and potentially threaten it out of the match. However, Simipour can severely dent or OHKO these Pokemon if it still has its Z-move.(I wouldnt call it ohkoing if it requires previous damage)

**art by me. Hopefully, this doesn't get unranked while QC'ing this. Lol.**

Simipour may have a good Speed tier, but it is still prone to being revenge-killed by faster threats such as Scyther, Lycanroc, and Alolan Raichu. Simipour faces stiff competition as a Nasty Plot sweeper from the likes of Alolan Raichu, Jynx, and Simisear. Alolan Raichu is faster while Jynx's Dry Skin ability and Lovely Kiss give it more opportunities to set up. (its more so just lovely kiss + sub, remove dry skin) Simisear virtually does the same thing that Simipour does and has a better matchup against Grass-types such as Lilligant, Bellossom, and Roselia. (the tier also struggles way more to switch into it)However, Simipour is not weak to Stealth Rock and it has a much easier time setting up against Pokemon like Regirock, Aggron, and Mudsdale. (on forced switch outs)Simipour also has to compete with its fellow Water-types such as Jellicent, Omastar, and Floatzel. Jellicent is immediately stronger, bulkier, has Water Abosrb Will-O-Wisp, (remove)Trick, dual STAB, and can spinblock; Omastar is a better late-game sweeper with Shell Smash and can set up entry hazards; Floatzel is faster, has Aqua Jet, and can bluff a physical set.

Moves

Ice Beam is Simipour's best coverage move to nail Grass- and Dragon-types such as Lilligant, Bellossom, and Altaria. (drampa too) Grass Knot gives Simipour an option to hit its fellow Water-types such as Jellicent, Gastrodon, Quagsire, and Omastar for a large amount of damage. (hydro technically 2hkos both quagsire and omastar so remove those two)

Set Details
========
Waterium Z can make a Hydro Vortex that can dent specially defensive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Articuno, and Eelektross at +2 while not having to worry about missing with Hydro Pump.

Usage Tips
========
Try to conserve Simipour's Z-move for its intended target, ideally specially defensive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Eelektross, and Assault Vest Hitmonchan. Hydro Vortex can also OHKO Skuntank and Rotom-F in one-on-one situations where it cannot set up. (i think you mean where it is threatened since hydro doesnt ohko them) Simipour can also potentially wallbreak early- to mid-game to soften up its potential checks for itself and its team. (this should be the first sentence)Afterwards, if Simipour is still around and faster Pokemon have been removed from the battle, then it can set up and sweep late-game.

Ice Beam is Simipour's best coverage move to nail Grass- and Dragon-types such as Lilligant, Bellossom, and Altaria. Grass Knot gives Simipour an option to hit its fellow Water-types such as Jellicent and Gastrodon for a large amount of damage.

Set Details
========

Waterium Z lets Simipour use Hydro Vortex, which can dent specially defensive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Articuno, and Eelektross at +2 while not having to worry about missing with Hydro Pump Hydro Pump's shaky accuracy.

Usage Tips
========

Simipour can also potentially wallbreak early- to mid-game to soften up its potential checks for itself and its team. Afterwards, if Simipour is still around and faster Pokemon have been removed from the battle, then it can set up and sweep late-game. Try to conserve Simipour's Z-move Z-Move for its intended target, ideally a specially defensive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Eelektross, and or Assault Vest Hitmonchan. Hydro Vortex can also threaten Skuntank and Rotom-F in one-on-one situations where it cannot set up.

Team Options
========

Simipour loves the support of pivots. Fast ones such as Primeape, Scyther, and Swanna can threaten out opponents foes such as Lilligant, Skuntank, and Alolan Raichu for Simipour thanks to their power, while slow ones like Eelektross, Type: Null, and Lanturn can take a hit for Simipour and safely bring it into battle. Whether it's from Knock Off users such as Eelektross, Shiftry, or and Gurdurr to threaten Choice Scarf users, or Thunder Wave support from Mesprit or and Clefairy, Simipour appreciates the speed Speed control these Pokemon provide. Hazard Entry hazard setters such as Froslass, Regirock, and Mudsdale make Simipour's time sweeping much easier. Simipour also appreciates partners such as Skuntank, Dodrio, and Oricorio-G that can help keep Grass-type Pokemon in check.

Other Options
=============

A set utilizing Salac Berry, Gluttony, and Substitute can potentially work seeing as Substitute gives Simipour a safety net to set up Nasty Plot by making letting it working work around Sucker Punch and can potentially outspeed faster threats with Salac Berry activating. However, this set not only requires Simipour to give up a coverage move for Substitute and Waterium Z, but it also only gives Simipour only one chance to sweep and it is very hard to pull off successfully. Simipour can also run a Choice Specs or Choice Scarf set to grant it immediate power and or Speed, but its Nasty Plot set is better at wallbreaking,(AC) and Simipour lacks a useful pivoting move like U-turn to make full use of Choice Scarf.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Certain defensive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Hitmonchan, and Type: Null can stomach a hit from any of Simipour's moves, heal the damage done, and potentially threaten it out of the match. However, Simipour can severely dent these Pokemon if it still has its Z-move Z-Move.
