[OVERVIEW]
Skarmory is one of the purest and most durable physical walls in BDSP OU. It's unique Steel / Flying typing and sky high defenses in addition to reliable healing let it be an excecptional wall to many of the offensive pokemon of the metagame. It resists an astonishing amount of 8 types, many of which are extremely common and threatening. This includes resistences to Dragon-, Psychic-, Flying-, Fairy-, Steel- and Normal-type moves, on top of a 4x resistence to Grass-, and Bug-type moves. This great list of resistences is pushed even further thanks to Skarmorie's full immunity to Ground-, and Poison-type moves. These resisntences and immunities all come at a cost however. Skarmory is weak against Fire-, and Electric-type moves, both of which are quite common, mainly as special attacks that are used as coverage on pokemon who's STABs it resists. Skarmorie's main role in the metagame is as a hazard setter and bulky phaser. It can come in on many threats such as Garchomp, Scizor and Breloom thanks to it's Ground immunity and Fighting neutrality.
