LC Skitty

Gummy

...three, smiles go for miles!
[OVERVIEW]
Although Normalize might seem enticing, it's not enough to make Skitty even remotely worth using. As a Normal-type attacker, Skitty is far outclassed by Bunnelby and Zigzagoon, and even as a revenge killer Meowth has it beat. Skitty has defenses of wet tissue paper and hits only nearly as hard, and the thing that makes it even a little useful, Normalize, takes away any and all coverage whatsoever. Its all-around poor stats make it an unviable choice on any team, even if it is very cute.

[SET]
name: Skitty
move 1: Fake Out
move 2: Sucker Punch
move 3: Double Edge
move 4: Thunder Wave / Foresight
item: Silk Scarf
ability: Normalize
nature: Jolly / Adamant
evs: 236 Atk / 76 SpD / 196 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Since Normalize is literally all Skitty has going for it, its moveset should capitalize on that as much as possible. Skitty can try to revenge kill with a Fake Out + Sucker Punch combination, but Meowth can do the same thing with more power and less prediction.

- Pretty sure you aren't supposed to cross-reference generations in these. Just talk about how Normalize doesnt account for pathetic offenses in the current gen.
- Mention the downside to Normalize (coverage isnt a thing LOL)
- Mention those ATROCIOUS defenses.
- I really like the concision and summary of your set comments. This is a model of what a pseudo-analysis set comments should look like, good work.

added and ready for 2/2, thank you! i left the note about baton pass being completely unviable without torchic though, just in case anyone saw the XY analysis and wanted to try it.

only thing i'd change is a couple of phrasing things in the overview, bolded comments

[OVERVIEW]
Although Normalize might seem enticing, it's not enough to make Skitty even remotely worth using, even more so now with the effective disappearance of all Baton Pass strategies (phrasing on this is confusing to someone who didn't use skitty last gen. you could probably just cut this bit entirely). As a Normal-type attacker, Bunnelby and Zigzagoon perform its job far better, and even as a revenge killer Meowth has it beat. It has defenses of wet tissue paper and hits nearly as hard, and the thing that makes it even a little worth using (you double up on "make [it] worth using here and in the first sentence -- I'd just say "Normalize" here even if it's less flavorful. worth reminding readers Normalize is all it has) takes away all and any coverage whatsoever. Its all-around poor stats make it an unviable choice on any team, even if it is very cute.
2/2, good job
