[SET COMMENTS]
Slowbro is a fantastic defensive pivot capable of checking prominent threats such as Terrakion, Keldeo, Cobalion, and Mamoswine by virtue of its defensive typing and natural physically defensive bulk. Psyshock helps Slowbro deal with Roserade and Calm Mind Keldeo better but Future Sight is an option to help its partners wallbreak more easily with the switches it forces. Teleport is pivotal for this set as it allows Slowbro to generate momentum against Pokemon like Zarude and Celebi that commonly try to take advantage of Slowbro's passivity otherwise. Toxic can be considered to cripple Pokemon like Sylveon, Zarude, and opposing Slowbro. Thunder Wave is also another status option that can make threats like Noivern and Starmie much easier for Slowbro's teammates to deal with. Body Press is another option to nail Pokemon like Bisharp, Zarude, and Obstagoon on switch-in; however, it struggles to fit these alternative coverage options without giving up the utility of Teleport or forgoing reliable recovery in Slack Off. Heavy-Duty Boots is the preferred item of choice as it allows Slowbro to pivot around more freely without fearing entry hazards, improving the net recovery it attains from Regenerator. Colbur Berry is an option to improve Slowbro's matchup against foes like Incineroar and Krookodile to stomach a hit and retaliate back. Rocky Helmet can be used to punish physical attackers like Cobalion and Terrakion. The EV spread allows Slowbro to avoid the 2HKO from Noivern's Hurricane and helps it check Keldeo better.

Chansey can check a vast majority of the special attackers in the tier like Starmie, Heliolisk, and Roserade that threaten Slowbro. Chansey can also form a Teleport core with Slowbro to help bring wallbreakers such as Obstagoon and Terrakion in safely. Obstagoon can threaten Psychic-types like Celebi, Reuniclus, and opposing Slowbro, which Slowbro lets in easily. Zarude is a fantastic pivot alongside Slowbro that can check threats like Celebi, Bisharp, and Rotom-W. In return, Slowbro can handle Mamoswine and Fighting-types like Cobalion and Keldeo. Cobalion and Galarian Weezing can help threaten Mimikyu and Dark-types like Zarude and Obstagoon. Mamoswine can help pressure Grass-types like Celebi and Zarude for Slowbro, as well as ease the matchup against Noivern. In return, Slowbro can check many revenge killers to Mamoswine such as Cobalion, Keldeo, and Terrakion. Sylveon can help alleviate pressure from Slowbro having to check threats like Keldeo and Heracross. Sylveon can also help check Noivern and provide Heal Bell support. Incineroar can help check problematic Ghost-types such as Chandelure, Alolan Marowak, and Polteageist. In return, Slowbro is able to check threats like Keldeo and Terrakion for Incineroar.
