Additionally, against Charizard, if you think your opponent is holding Charizardite X you should use Iron Defense, and inversely if you believe the opposing Charizard is Mega Charizard Y, Amnesia should be used. However, most Mega Charizard Y are strong enough to 2HKO Slowbro even if Amnesia is used, and Mega Charizard X has options like Belly Drum to break through Slowbro even if it correctly guesses the forme and uses Iron Defense.
