- Slowking is a premier Regenerator Teleport abuser in SS UU: using it's combination of Teleport, Future Sight, and Regenerator to pivot it's team into winning situations.
-Slowking's natural bulk, as well as the introduction of Teleport pivoting and Heavy Duty Boots have helped it become a main stay in the tier.

- Scald is a must have on Slowking, the threat of burn on checks such a Tapu Bulu or Crawdaunt when switching in is a huge deterrent to Pokemon that would otherwise be able to consistently wall Slowking even with Teleport.
- Future Sight pairs extremely well with Teleport, allowing Slowking to float a future threat then slow pivot out into a threat.
- This Teleport turn synergies so well with the rest of the set, because Slowking is healing off damage from that turn with Regenerator and letting more frail threatening Pokemon in for free to go along with burning a turn until Future Sight hits in the process.
- This combines the threatening Pokemon's attack with the Future Sight STAB coverage on the following turn, ideally lose lose scenarios for opposing teams creating offensive momentum.
- Psyshock could also fit here for immediate STAB damage without the lay turns of Future Sight, however in many situations it can be outclasses by Future Sight's synergy with the rest of the set and offensive momentum.
- Slack Off is in the next slot to help Slowking consistently take on special threats, offensive Nidoqueen and special Salamence come to mind, as prevalent special threats that are more consistently checked with Slack Off.
- Alternatively if a team can make due with Slowking's only recovery coming from Regenerator, it is worth considering Thunder Wave instead of Slack Off, Thunder Wave allows Slowking to cripple faster threats, such as Victini and Nihilego, and enable more consistent counter play to them.
- Teleport is another must have on Slowking, with the combined value of negative priority pivoting, Regenerator healing, and Heavy Duty Boots negating entry hazard damage, Slowking is able to consistently bring more frail Pokemon into a game that would otherwise struggle with longevity.
- This EV spread specifically with Slack Off allows Slowing to check offensive Nidoqueen without Thunderbolt, Latias, non-Choice Banded Victini, Terrakion, Kommo-o and many more meta game staples.

Describe some teammates that would be a good idea to pair with this Pokemon to help it fulfill its role.
- Pokemon that appreciate Slowking and fully take advantage of Teleport plus Future Sight, are more frail Pokemon like Zeraora and Terrakion who can be threats to an entire team.
- Slowking also appreciates fellow Regenerator Pokemon that can be switched between to help with it's longevity throughout a game as well as check it's weaknesses such as Tangrowth or Amoongus.
- Zeraora's access to Volt Absorb helps it thrive along with Slowking besides being an offensive threat, taking on incoming Electric attacks with ease, gaining health, from Volt Absorb a long with Regenerator giving health to Slowking for switching.
- Ground types in general help take Electric attacks as well, Nidoqueen in particular can also take on Grass types Slowking otherwise struggles against as well as set up Stealth Rocks.
- Slowking also really appreciates having entry hazards on it's team because of the switches that are forced by Future Sight.

Other Options

- Alternatively to the suggested EV spread you could run a more special defense invested spread 252 HP/ 88 DEF/ 168 SPDEF Calm to also check Nidoqueen with Thunderbolt as well as Life Orb special Salamence.
- The down side to the alternative spread is losing out on Slowking's ability to check non-Choice Banded Victini and Terrakion as well as pivot in on resisted physical attacks.
- Other considerations should be given to running only speed IVs 30 to underspeed opposing Slowking and Chansey's Teleport, even if it means being slower than opposing Slowbro-G, Chansey, Amoongus and Slowking generally.
- Colbur Berry instead of Heavy Duty boots to be able to take 1 Knock Off is another option, to be able to click Scald or Teleport that turn.
- But this comes with the caveat that entry hazards can heavily chip Slowking, necessitating hazard removal on a team.
- Slowking could also run Fire Blast over Future Sight, intending to kill Scizor, Tangrowth andother fire weak Pokemon by using itself to bait them into the game.
- Without Future Sight though Slowking loses a lot of offensive potential as a Pokemon that can create offensive momentum and pressure consistently.

List some options for the Pokemon user that are plausible but not always recommended due to being either not consistent enough or too outclassed by other Pokemon in the metagame.

Checks and Counters

**Knock abusers*:
- Besides being weak to Knock Off part of Slowking's reliability is the ability to ignore entry hazards and take full advantage of Regenerator.
- Without Heavy Duty Boots Slowking consistently takes entry hazard damage, negating more and more value from Regenerator as the game goes on.
- The same can be said for trick or any other move that takes away Slowing's Heavy Duty Boots.

**Grass Types**:
- Grass types in the current meta game provide Slowking with very little room for counter play, relying on Teleporting into a teammate as it's main response to Grass types.
- Although Future Sight can do good damage to Grass types the current big 3 in UU are Tapu Bulu, Tangrowth and Amoongus, meaning that besides status from Scald they can just heal off the Future Sight damage and threaten Slowking with a Grass move or sleep.

**Electric Types**:
- Many of UU's current Electric types are extreme threats to Slowking, either getting free set up or straight up threatening to O.H.K.O.
- Without team support or pivoting with Teleport Slowking loses it's team offensive pressure, most likely regained by trading damage on an Electric check for pressuring out the Electric type.
- If the loop repeats over time the Electric type will become more and more of a threat to sweep as the Slowking team's designated check gets chipped down more and more.

Two points aren't enough to sum up Slowking.

Talk about:

  • What its typing + bulk lets it check
  • Give its STAB combo a separate line indicating how annoying it can be to switch into. Not many things want to pivot into it especially with Scald burn chance.
  • Give regen its own line or better tie into it how it helps check certain threats better.
  • List some downsides of the Pokemon. E.g. Although it can pivot into Latias it lacks the ability to threaten it out. Its low Speed tier makes it easy for offensive foes to take advantage of. This may usually result in it taking a strong hit before getting a TP off etc.

You should mention Psyshock does significantly more to Nihilego + lets you pressure SubCM Keldeo better rather than it using you as set up fodder.

- Slack Off is in the next slot to help Slowking consistently take on special threats, offensive Nidoqueen and special Salamence come to mind, as prevalent special threats that are more consistently checked with Slack Off.
- Alternatively if a team can make due with Slowking's only recovery coming from Regenerator, it is worth considering Thunder Wave instead of Slack Off, Thunder Wave allows Slowking to cripple faster threats, such as Victini and Nihilego, and enable more consistent counter play to them. The main target for Thunder Wave is Latias, because Slowking is a good pivot into it but it can't do anything other than Teleport.

You've basically said this in your earlier points

- This EV spread specifically with Slack Off allows Slowing to check offensive Nidoqueen without Thunderbolt, Latias, non-Choice Banded Victini, Terrakion, Kommo-o and many more meta game staples. Give some specific examples. 16 SpD with Calm guarantees you can take 2 Sludge Waves from Nidoqueen at full. You also avoid the 2HKO from LO Clanging Scales from Kommo-o etc.

Mention how Sassy + 0 IVs in Speed is to get off the slowest Teleport possible.

- Zeraora's access to Volt Absorb helps it thrive along with Slowking besides being an offensive threat, taking on incoming Electric attacks with ease, gaining health, from Volt Absorb a long with Regenerator giving health to Slowking for switching. You mention Zera at the start so just have this follow up on it.

- Ground types in general help take Electric attacks as well, Nidoqueen in particular can also take on Grass types Slowking otherwise struggles against as well as set up Stealth Rocks. Setting up rocks has zero relevance for Slowking

- Slowking also really appreciates having entry hazards on it's team because of the switches that are forced by Future Sight.

I'd like to see partners that help with Latias, Kyurem, Scizor, and Victini. Salamence is a good example for the latter two. Mention some Steel-types for Latias and Kyurem.

Mention at the start the types of teams it belongs on. You should also mention how Slowking should be used. To give an example 'Slowking should take advantage of Regenerator to pivot into threats like Latias and Victini... though it has to be wary of them having X. For this reason partners like Y can help ease these matchups'. You want to integrate usage stuff like this into your analysis where possible but obviously don't overdo it.

Tbolt Nidoqueen isn't common coverage and neither is LO special mence. I would just say a max SpD spread is usable to check Specs Primarina and LO Alakazam better.

- The down side to the alternative spread is losing out on Slowking's ability to check non-Choice Banded Victini and Terrakion as well as pivot in on resisted physical attacks. Just move this into the same point.
- Other considerations should be given to running only speed IVs 30 to underspeed opposing Slowking and Chansey's Teleport, even if it means being slower than opposing Slowbro-G, Chansey, Amoongus and Slowking generally.

You could just make this a point about Dark-types.

**Grass-types Types**:
- Grass types in the current meta game provide Slowking with very little room for counter play, relying on Teleporting into a teammate as it's main response to Grass types. Well, to say little room for counter play isn't true. You mentioned at the start it can use Scald to cripple them. So bulu doesn't hard into it without risking a burn, amoong isn't a reliable answer, etc.

- Although Future Sight can do good damage to Grass types the current big 3 in UU are Tapu Bulu, Tangrowth and Amoongus, meaning that besides status from Scald they can just heal off the Future Sight damage and threaten Slowking with a Grass move or sleep. Amoonguss rly shouldn't be on this list. It does nothing back to Slowking other than Spore and gets forced out by the Future Sight so if anything the King player gets initiative in this matchup.

**Electric-types Types**:
- Many of UU's current Electric types are extreme threats to Slowking, either getting free set up or straight up threatening to O.H.K.O. OHKO
- Without team support or pivoting with Teleport Slowking loses it's team offensive pressure, most likely regained by trading damage on an Electric check for pressuring out the Electric type.
- If the loop repeats over time the Electric type will become more and more of a threat to sweep as the Slowking team's designated check gets chipped down more and more.


Just give some examples of Elec types that threaten it and how they can OHKO or 2HKO it etc.
