Slowking @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 176 SpA / 80 SpD
Modest Nature
- Scald
- Fire Blast
- Future Sight
- Dragon Tail

Slowking excels in RU as a blanket check to a plethora of special attackers such as Salazzle, Nidoqueen, Dragalge, Ninetales, Gardevoir, Moltres, Sigilyph, and Rotom-H. Regenerator is an amazing ability for Slowking that allows it to pivot into and scout opposing Pokemon. Slowking is also a nuisance for opposing balance teams, as it can come on many passive Pokemon like Milotic lacking Toxic and use Future Sight + Dragon Tail to potentially snatch OHKOs against opposing offensive threats like Salazzle and Bewear that balance teams often carry. The given EVs allow Slowking to survive a +2 Acid Downpour from Salazzle and Bloom Doom from Rotom-C after Stealth Rock. Other options include Trick Room + Nasty Plot, which allows it to heavily improve its matchup against offensive teams. Slowking can also opt to drop some Special Attack EVs in favor of running 44 Defense EVs, which allow it to phaze Pokemon like Dragon Dance Flygon and Feraligatr after Stealth Rock. Slowking is incredibly weak to physical wallbreakers like Bewear, Zygarde-10%, and Aerodactyl, so teammates like Doublade and Gligar are appreciated. Slowking also struggles with entry hazards like Spikes and Stealth Rock that mitigate Regenerator, so teammates that can clear hazards like Mandibuzz and Gligar are helpful as well.

- Yanmega is tricky to deal with since it can still 2hko and it cant handle Yanmega as easily as the other special attackers you mention so this stands out as a sore thumb. Mention Gardevoir or Ninetales instead.

- Mentioning it can come into passive threats isnt necessarily true cause Milotic and Cresselia can still run toxic and a Slowking under that type of timer is a ton easier to pressure. You can mention that future sight + dragon tail can be a pain to balance but mention something that it can force out instead, like Mega Steelix which is a balance staple as well or on its defect mention Milotic but do mention that if it is lacking Toxic.

Looks good otherwise, like the attention to the 40 Defense option. QC 1/1
