it's funny, i remember we had discussions before about requesting that mafia games not factor into postcount and reaction score by extension

i'm not sure why that never took off the ground, but i wouldn't be shocked if they were like "lol this isn't instagram, cope"

I actually think it’s an under rated play to go for vengeful and double voter as mafia, it costs 70 but in reality if you get vengeful on first mafia death and get double voter on last mafia standing it’s more efficient than recruiting a fourth plus you have 10 extra points to spend

i doubt its what happened here because its kinda big brain though

reading back and kind of the weird concern here is if the best players are being taken then we both want to lynch them and not

also weird levels system where maybe they take a more mediocre player like alice or hydro who are like known entities and are competent but not someone you immediately think of as super good

thus i dont think we should blind vote the best players

I do agree, this can easily turn into WIFOM bullshit. But it’s something I will probably remain paranoid about lol

What is weird about that exactly? Since mafia can recruit someone specific, it isnt unreasonable to think they would recruit a 'strong' player over a newbie, chronic lurker, etc.

Also voting strong players is typically high risk reward even outside recruit mechanics.
 
I am in fact town though, I had initially thought if I was town then that makes apricity mafia, though i think only like a handful of us actually have experience with him now looking at player list fully

And I guess I’ve only played one town game since revival unless I’m forgetting one so maybe newer players are more familiar with me as a host
