[SET COMMENTS]
* Due to having nearly every move in the game, Smeargle has fantastic qualities as a versatile suicide lead and Sticky Web setter for hyper offense teams due to the large amount of roles it can compress, such as being able to anti-lead opposing hyper offense leads, punishing entry hazard removers with status, controlling hazards on either side of the field, and minimizing impact from Taunt users. These combined factors make it difficult to shut down Smeargle.
* Sticky Web can help to enable threats such as Eruption Primal Groudon, wallbreaker Primal Kyogre, and Ultra Necrozma by letting them outpace threats such as Deoxys-A and Zacian-C.
* Nuzzle can cripple common Taunt users such as Yveltal, Arceus-Dark, and Arceus-Fairy. Spore is great for crippling opposing hyper offense leads such as Shuckle and Iron Treads. Both options are also valuable in order to punish attempts to remove Smeargle's hazards from Ho-Oh and Giratina-O.
* Rapid Spin or Mortal Spin allows Smeargle to clear hazards from opposing hyper offense leads such as Shuckle and Mega Diancie. Rapid Spin is more valuable if Smeargle needs to clear hazards from Steel-types such as Necrozma-DM, and it provides a Speed boost to cripple threats such as Yveltal and Palkia-O with Spore or Nuzzle. Mortal Spin can clear hazards against spinblockers such as Lunala and Arceus-Ghost and poison them in the process, but it's at the cost of being more susceptible to Tera Steel Pokemon such as Yveltal. The poison chip damage is also valued by Smeargle's partners such as Ultra Necrozma and Rayquaza to break through checks like Arceus-Dark easier.
* Ceaseless Edge and Stone Axe can grant Smeargle access to extra utility with unblockable hazards. Magic Coat is another option to prevent Taunt users like Yveltal, Arceus-Ground, and Deoxys-S from shutting down Smeargle's attempts to set up Sticky Web.
* Smeargle's moveset is very flexible and can be mixed and matched to however you feel to deal with specific scenarios. Running Parting Shot or Teleport can generate momentum for the team while still preserving Smeargle potentially, and running both Stone Axe and Ceaseless Edge in the last two moveslots is possible if you don't care about opposing hazards. However, the given moveset is generally the most optimized variant of Smeargle.
* Tera Ghost and Steel are used only for dealing with opposing suicide leads such as Iron Treads and Glimmora in order to block their attempts to clear Smeargle's hazards with Rapid Spin and Mortal Spin, respectively. Terastallization should only be used on Smeargle for absolute emergencies, as it takes the opportunity away from its wallbreaking partners.
* Smeargle only should be used as a lead in order to enable its teammates as fast as possible.
* Attempts to conserve Smeargle for use later in the game are unnecessary, as its sacrifice generates momentum for its teammates.
* After setting Sticky Web, Smeargle should make every effort to keep Sticky Web up and spread status for as long as possible before it goes down.
* In addition to partners such as Dragon Dance Rayquaza and Arceus enjoying Smeargle's Sticky Web to outpace threats like Zacian-C and Marshadow, Smeargle can benefit from spinblockers such as Arceus-Ghost and your own Zacian-C to block Rapid Spin and Mortal Spin, respectively. Nasty Plot Chi-Yu's strong matchups against common forms of hazard removal such as Ho-oh and Yveltal also makes it a great partner for Smeargle.
